Linking PC Account to Steam

Hello,

I installed Warframe from warframe.com and not through steam. All of my friends installed through steam, so their friends are already there when they want to form a squad. but i have no friends now and i have to add everyone by their warframe usename which is a little tedious to me. Is there a simple way, other than reinstalling to link my steam account?

I don't...understand the problem. All you have to do is erm, download Warframe through Steam and login... right?
