Temporary Freezes on Borderless Window

Starting a few days ago, Warframe freezes for a short amount of time when I click out of the game window and onto either my second monitor or anywhere on the task bar on my main monitor where I have the game displayed.

Basically, it freezes when I tab out and the game isn't the currently active window.

The display itself isn't the only thing freezing however, because I noticed last time I was the host of a mission and I clicked away, when it eventually unfroze, everyone who was in the mission with me had disconnected.

Again, this only started happening a few days ago and never occurred before. Yes, all my nvidia graphics drivers are up to date and such.

I have a GTX 970, an i5 Skylake and 8 GB of DDR4 RAM. No outside intensive programs are running while this is happening.

Is this happening to anyone else, or just me? It makes it very difficult to multitask while playing the game, which is what I have been enjoying doing up til now, so any clues as to what's causing this would be appreciated.
