A-Z Scroll appearing behind user list

This is kind of weird to explain, and I'm bad at explaining things to begin with...

When you have the chat box open with the user list visible, there's an option for the A-Z scroll (by pressing R3). If it's not open, it's hidden behind the user list. and you shouldn't be able to see it.

BUT

if you position your screen so that the top right corner (and an area about the size of the A-Z scroll box if it was overlapping that corner) is overlapping the rotating syndicate rep display in your ship, you can see the letters of the A-Z scroll box faintly behind the user list.

Oddly enough, this doesn't work with any of the other overlays in the ship that I could find, and it doesn't even work with the top portion of the syndicate display where it shows remaining daily rep available.
