Unable to join session (connection to host interrupted)

I had no problems in 2015 and 2016 with the same setup and the same computer. I am currently running Windows 8.1 without even a firewall installed. I have forwarded the ports (never had to in 2015 and 2016), and it doesn't make a difference. Even allowed all of Warframe's processes on the default Windows firewall, made no difference. I can host games just fine, but the connection to other hosts always fails. It acts all normal, then the game freezes for 5-10s during the loading screen, and then it says connection was lost. The ping of the host (unless it is me) doesn't matter.

Turns out this fun error effectively stops me from making squads as well. There is a (usually) wonderful system where the server automatically finds the 'best host' and changes the host on the fly, which when combined with the aforementioned error means I am often unable to be in squads with specific people (i.e. not randoms, which are all chosen based on ping).

ive had the same problem since i got the game to this day i dont know the fix but i love the game so i basically have to que 500 times when i want to do something till im the host.
