Sentinel Suggestions And Abilities

Sentinel concepts:

 

- Surveillance sentinel approach. it could even be a passive one. Spotting enemies and maybe even lighting them up on the screen, seeing them behind obstacles.

 

- Melee sentinel. Within a certain range it melee attacks enemies.

 

- Suply sentinel. Regenerating ammo.

 

- Vampire sentinel. Steals energy and health for user.

 

 

Ability concepts:

 

- Aura effects (slow, att.spd on mobs, area pick up, regen of any kind...)

- Target/area of interest lighting up on HUD (loot, enemies, bosses, route...)

- Periotic resource boosts (stamina, shield, health, generating rates...)

- Provides effect to warframe or weaponry (health/shield steal, poison effect...)

banshee - sonar.

 

- Suply sentinel. Regenerating ammo.

scavenger auras.

i do agree that we could use either more sentinels, or more useful skills and mods for them. however, if we go too overboard with them, u completely eliminate the usefulness of some of the frames, frame mods, even artifact mods.

 

if ur sentinel regens energy for u, u probably wouldn't need the energy siphon artifact.

if it regens hp, vampire nightmare maps would be null and high end bosses would be too easy.
those 2 together make trinity almost useless if not for her #4.

only downside to this is by the time they get that close to u, u are already attacking them and deth cube's vaporize would have them dead.

i like the idea, but the range would be way small, since after all, it is coming from a sentinel. besides that, think about how little damage it would do. look at the base for whichever sentinel u have's weapon. sentinels are really kinda just supplementary. we can't have them be too op.. as much as i would love it lol.

The serveillance part was not meant like banshee. It was more like seeing enemies on your screen, that aren't in view (ie. behind obstacle) and sonar points out weak points, just as there are enemy radar aura, but that haven't stopped either from existing.

 

Scavanger improves pick up, where that concept was ment as auto generating.

 

By saying Trinity has vampirism, does that exclude a sentinel from stealing energy to you? Trinity has monopol on any health ability in the game, doubt she would die from a little competition or supplement, if she did, her skills weren't sufficient to begin with.

 

I said certain range for melee sentinel, but didnt define it. It could be a football field distance, maybe teleporting sentinel to target, doing dmg like our sentinels do. making it as weak or as OP any would like to make it.
