Vaskadar
This is an issue I've seen pop up numerous times throughout the forums talking about how the resistances scale in the game. Resistances should NEVER scale in any game, but should be a flat percentage all the time, otherwise weapons and elements that ignore the resistances will be used the most, which is why we have such an uneven distribution of weapons and warframes used in the game. What should scale better is health and damage dealt by enemies, preferably damage dealt by the enemies in the game. Centias
You have a point, sir. The damage of our weapons inreases as we improve them in an effort to keep up with enemy health, but with enemy resistances to damage types ALSO scaling up, many weapons get left behind as the damage improvements can't touch the effective health of enemies presented by the combination of their inreased health AND increased armor/resistances. Melee enemies already oneshot you in NM, which, to be frank, feels unbelievably cheap with the current spawning system ("Welp, cleared that room! Let's proceed to the object-... HO, S#&$, HOW DID THOSE ENEMIES GET INTO THE AREA I JUST CLEARED?!").

If resistance scaling didn't occur, there'd be a choice between choosing the Boltor vs. the Braton/Grakata/Dera (since those rifles are relatively comparable to one another). The resistance scaling (in addition to the health scaling) makes certain warframes useless in high-level gameplay because their powers are mitigated (damage-wise) by the enemy resistances. This is incredibly apparent when you're fighting high-level Grineer on Ceres.
