Slideshow after going into menus sometimes

Most of the time WF runs very smoothly for me in every way, around 50fps with almost everything turned up to 11, but sometimes when switching menus, or sometimes on the occasional graphic thing in the field (like those gold things you pick up for Focus) it turns into a slideshow for a bit, then after a while, mysteriously, it's back to normal.

This is really intermittent and I can't figure out the conditions for it, but going into menus in the Liset (seemingly any menu at random) is something that probably triggers it more reliably than other times, it only happens very rarely in the field, and even then only after it's already happened in the Liset.

It's not persistent or frequent enough to be a game-stopper, but it happens enough to be noticeable and annoying when it happens (maybe once or twice in an hour-long session).
