Warcalibur ! But yes that could be nice, but you should only be able to parry light attacks, else flameblades, powerfists, sawblades etc... will become really useless.

In games like Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Devil May Cry, you 'block' a melee attack by doing one during the middle of the enemy animation. This is probably a better mechanic than 'hold to block' for Warframe and look way cooler.

It adds a higher skill ceiling for the game and looks good, and also means you don't need to implement an additional key for blocking, which is a bonus. Bonus points if you're allowed to do the same thing against non-hitscan weapons.
