If someone pushes that little Esc button in the top lest corner, the game pauses for the whole squad. Sometimes in defence missions when I play with my friend/s and if I need to go to the bathroom or I have a quick job (for about 1 minute) I just can't do it, can't go to the WC ot do whatever I need to do, because the game has no pause menu except for the SOLO. But, perhaps put a check box in the settings and allow people to set if they want pausing in private games. That would be okay.
