Get Rid Of Vortex Effecting Players.

I disagree. Using Vortex to troll players is a nice change of pace. Using Bonce pads can get predictable.

I use it to round up baddies in one spot. If my teammates decide to run in and get stuck then that's their problem.

True, but sometimes the teammate doesn't see it coming and then it's always the toxic one he meets deep inside the vortex core.

Or your teammate happens not to see you and drop it right on your head while your performing a skill. That exactly happened to me while I was using my Rhino frame during a defense mission.I was using rhino stomp right before my mate droped his vortex.

I an understand both sides of the argument and even addition that it actualy adds slight difficulty to the players that they are effected by it also (For other reasons then trolling.)

But it would be realy nice also if it didn't effect us to have some mercy on the troll victims and save those who have a hard time getting out of a too close vortex or actualy be saved by their teammate droping a vortex nearly on them so they can escape.

No I specifically use it on long elevators to stick everyone at the top.

One time I accidentally threw a Vortex instead of Bastille when I went to help revive someone. Needless to say he died because everyone who was trying to revive was skating all around... I felt bad.

 

Another time I was on my Excalibur and a Vaub kept throwing Vortexes. I couldn't get a single Slash Dash off because as soon as you get close to it, you stop.

 

In the hands of an experienced Vaub, a well placed Vortex can be handy. But in all honestly, I see no point as to why it should affect other players. All it does is annoy.

Yep, it serves no actual purpose in making players move around. All it does is serve to annoy people. :/

Unfortunately, issues like this that are so uncontroversial tend not to generate a lot of posts, and therefore don't get seen :/

Anyway, hopefully this gets fixed. It adds nothing to the game to have it affect players.

 

That said, it seems like Bastille would have too similar a purpose to Vortex if Vortex were fixed. Maybe Bastille should throw enemies out of its radius instead of holding them in the air?
