[Suggestion] Trailblazing

It would be nice if we could leave trail markers of some sort for the tenno in our group--it's not always obvious how we got someplace, and if there's too much space between group members for some reason, it can result in people getting lost(especially in rooms they're unfamiliar with), or killed(especially if nobody can figure out how to reach them to revive them in time).

 

The current UI isn't so hot for handling that, so it would be nice if there was a way to leave traces only tenno can see.

 

That way, you can show people how to handle tricky jumps or peculiar paths or make sure that someone knows if they are, in fact, falling behind.

 

There's lots of great uses and potential for this.

 

I know we already have the ability to mark a waypoint, but sometimes that's far less than helpful, particularly if you're in another room, or another section of a very large room. This would be a way to show where you've been, so that other tenno can follow in your footsteps for whatever reason they may need to.

'Activate trail blazer'

- set a starting point, and a floating orb appears where you started.

- once the person who placed the trailblazer orb, the energy from his frame emits a lingering trail, showing how to move past obstacles

- set an end point (max distance between 2 points: 250m. max time: 1 minute)

- other players can activate the orb to 'replay' the marker's energy trail.

- the person who placed it can pick up the starting orb again, or reset the route (if he made a mistake)

- Trail Blazer orb could be a 5k credits consumable

Maybe. Was thinking something a little more basic-possibly an ability to have an shadow-after-image play of your last 50 meters of movement, without the cost/consumable. Would look nifty, and would be helpful at the same time. (Pieces parts available for making it last longer or whatnot).
