Where's the moon?

Warframe, for the most part, has non linear story telling and progression. Events get tangled up in a web of “when does this actually take place” with no real answers. For new players that jump into the plains, the moon doesn’t exist, it’s still in the Void. As such, the skybox reflects this.

Take Vay Hek, for instance. If you do the LoR, you finish him. And yet he still taunts you in the Plains. Sure, it could be a clone of Vay Hek, but then let’s go a step further. Alad V can be finished off in Mesa’s quest, and yet he’s still around as a major part of Warframes ongoing world.

Other than that, Its as simple as DE not making a seperate skybox for those that have finished TSD. And I wouldn’t expect them to do so any time soon.

Alad V didn't die in that quest.
