So why exactly does it recycle only 5 from rifle boxes, while 10 from all others.

So why exactly does it recycle only 5 from rifle boxes, while 10 from all others.

 

....Because Rifle Boxes are more common than Sniper/Shotgun?

 

And Shotgun/Sniper boxes only have 10. It restores exactly 50%, probably.

right...probably, that'll hold water.

 

Actually it restores 50% of what pistol ammo box would give, for shotgun and sniper boxes.

Also, it's all the same which ammo box is rarer because if an ammo box is supposed to drop it'll drop. The system decides if it'll be either of the 4.
