How do Eidolon Lenses work?

So I got an Eidolon Lens blueprint recently, and I was all excited, but then I realized that I had no Idea what it does. I checked the wiki, but that wasn't very helpful, and I'm wondering how it works. My main questions are these: Does the focus obtained from an Eidolon Lens go to a specific Focus Way (Madurai, Vazarin, etc.)? Do I have to use a specific Greater Lens to build it (specific to Ways)? Do I install it normally?

I believe the Greater Lens you build it with, is what determines the focus school it gains Focus for.

As for installing it, yes, I would assume so

@Stormandreas is correct.  You need to use a greater lens to build it, and it will stay in the same school as that lens.  Once built, it behaves like any other lens.

If you have an eidolon lens, it provides extra standing focus points to the school you have installed the lens with, for example, if you built your eidolon lens with a vazarin lens, you get more focus points toward vazarin than from a greater vazarin lens when you pick up a convergence orb (the thing you pick up to start farming focus), I think you install them normally.
