LeucienWeaver
Armor ignore, but yes. You're firing an energy scalpel at something, wouldn't you expect it to cut through flesh and armor like hot butter?
LeucienWeaver
There is a difference between Armor Ignore and Armor Piercing. Take Kunai(Armor Ignore) vs Despair(Armor Piercing). Both will do 100% base damage to medium targets, but Despair, since it deals Armor Piercing will do 50% damage to Light infested, and 150 damage to any grineer unit. The laser isn't instant because of how finely focused it is, imho. Sure, light is the fastest thing out there short of sci-fi topics, but this isn't light, it's heat. LeucienWeaver
And there are two kinds of laser; Light, and Heat. The former is powered by a bulb or light source, while the latter is more like a knife of energy.

Alohoe
for those of you that are still confused. ignore the name, its just another type of damage. it has not relation to armor ignore in any way other than the name "armor".
Definitegj
Didn't they removed the elemental immunities since patch 8.3? Armor piercing still do 50% to light infested? Shouldn't it be 100%?
Dasmir
Didn't they removed the elemental immunities since patch 8.3? Armor piercing still do 50% to light infested? Shouldn't it be 100%? You just say it. immunities > 50% damage reduction. nut DE never changed other thing like that.
LeucienWeaver
They removed immunities, such as Lightning doing 0% to Ancients, non-AP doing 0% to corpus buckets, etc. Resistances remain the same.
