PsychedelicSnake
Aside from the animation trouble coming from a weapon like this, it seems like it'd be fun to use.
GIMO
How would you use this? Like Nunchucks but more geared towards slashing?
Metou
Well I am not a programer, I would assume you just need two hit boxes like Orthos or Orthos Prime have. Edited August 5, 2013 by Metou
PyroPaul
Sword-Chuck yo' ah, 8-bit theater... That aside... you're thinking of a kusarigama... which is a scythe and counterweight attached by a chain... dual daggers attached by a chain would be... impractical to say the least, as catching it after a sweeping attack would mean you'd probably end up trying to catch the blade with your hand. Ouch.
Metou
I have made a kusarigama, it was the second 3d model I made.
PyroPaul
the implementation of a sickle and chain would actually be do-able. primary attack's would give you a fast dagger speed attack while charge attacks launch a large sweeping attack as you twirl the chain-linked off weapon in a large arc and happen much so at the speed of a heavy weapon like the 2-handed weapons. the balancing trade off is that the sweeping attacks have a large area of effect, larger so then a 2 handed sweep, capable of hitting more foes then most weapons... but you do this with much lighter damage. difficulty would could be rendering, animations, and realizing it (ie- making it fit in the game's rule set), as you're looking at trying to implement what effectively is a short weapon with about 8 feet of chain link's attached to the end... on that thought... you could have it 'energy-locked' using the particle effects similar to the osprey shield drone ray connecting several 'links' which can condense and expand the perspective 'chain', allowing only a foot of slack to be able to transform into a 3 meter sweep.
