Question

The best weapons I have right now are my Paris and Kunai. It's time for an upgrade. I currently have 2 mutagen mass. Working on building my 3rd. Should I save the mutagen mass and get acrid. Or build Torid? Either one is a pretty good upgrade. But it will be a while till I get the mats for acrid. Also do you think I should forma and catalyst my Kunai never know when I'll come upon the despair blue print. Your advice is much appreciated!

It'll take awhile for the resources for the Acrid, but it will definitely be worth it. If you can get your hands on the Despair then definitely put a potato (catalyst) on that instead. I suggest farming some bosses then running normal missions to try and fight Stalker for the possible drop.

Yea I've been doing a lot of bosses recently to try and get stalker. I'll run some defense missions next and hopefully he'll show up again. I don't just want to wait around for stalker to show up and MAYBE drop despair though.

Torid is a very defensive minded weapon. In attacking maps, your own gas clouds can kill you or significantly slow down your gaming experience because you have to wait for it to dissipate before you can safely walk through it.

While your teammates are largely unhindered so they either wait for u, or more often that not you lack behind.

Acrid as a straight up DPS weapon is better at higher content as the DOT effects ignores armor and still do damage even if it failed to kill with the initial shot. At lower level content the Despair offers more up front burst damage (1 to 3 shot kills) and less tired fingers since the Despair is full auto while the Acrid is semi-auto.

Also if you see yourself as a sniper type, get the Lanka.

Currently it deals serrated blade damage which means it combines the strength of both Dread (blade damage x3 vs light infested) and Paris (physic impact ignores armor) together. It has a charge up but the projectile more than 2 times faster than the Paris and it is practically flat shooting, so there is no arc to compensate.

You should try it !
