[Suggestionj] Champions Among Their Ranks

One of the game modes that I must like to do is Endless Defense Missions. But I think that something is missing, when I start to play WF it was awesome because we could truly sense the fear (at least I could lol), but after gathering mods, warframes and weapons, that feeling of challenge and danger is getting away...

So I think that some new factors may be needed to improve the overall experience.

 

My idea basically goes like this:

 

Endless Defense offers you an extraction every 5 waves. The enemies are all the same, what changes is the number and the level, so what I thought was, what if in every last wave, before extraction option, among the regular mobs and later in the wave, they introduce a new kind of enemy, to spice things up.

 

Could be some kind of Grinner/Corpus/Infested/Corrupted Champion, we already have Ancients/Ballistas and alikes, but a kind of stronger enemy like a mini-boss or two per wave.

 

This could open a lot of possibilities in the whole Endless Defense concept.

 

Maybe after 30/50 waves (just an ex.), after completing the mission, we could unlock a special zone, where a big, mean, ugly boss would be expecting us, with fat loot ofc ;)

I like this idea.  Having a boss/miniboss turn up at the end of wave 29 (for example, could just as well be 39, 49 etc) would give us a genuine reason to keep going past wave 10/15.

 

Edit:  Actually, having progressively harder bosses attack periodically every 15/20 waves would be awesome.

We could have like 3 Endless Defense of this kind, one per faction or 4 (if we include the Corrupted) and the final boss could drop new warframes BPs or weapons BPs also, as for the Champions or mini-bosses, they could drop rare yellow and blue mats (need Orokin Cells lol).

 

My aim, obviously, is not to see this implemented but give DE some fresh new ideas lol seems like they need it! =P

Mini-bosses and bosses would be EXCELLENT.

 

 

I wouldn't mind seeing them on every mission, not just ED.  Why not have the Tenno trapped in a room they sprinted into, and ambushed by a Corpus Warmech or something?

Why don't we just do it like in ARPGs? Once in a while a champion unit spawns with a pack of minions, with the champion posessing powerful mods like team heal, slowing or other effects

 

 

Mixed in with the current heavy units we have, this sounds totally legit.  +1

 

After all, there is already many things between this game and the Diablo series that are similar.
