Custom Warframe: Anubis+ Br's Random Arts

Hello! First time posting in the forums so hope this is in the right section.

Been a real fan of the game since I got wind of it and love the entire aesthetic, been seeing a lot of great fan designs and seeing as we have warframes named after mythological gods I created one I would love to see in the game.

*Version 2* Taking some of the feedback into consideration, I modified it to fit a more sleek and suggestive Warframe style. Reduced the neck profile and the "headdress" effect, added a slit "grill" to break up some of the space and brightened it up with a few other tweaks like a faint glow on the lights.

This frame is Anubis and his specialisation is manipulating toxins (As seen on the Toxic Ancients), So far I have two concrete ideas for his powers (no particular order of tier) so as to give an idea of what he plays like:

1. Contagion Blast: Anubis releases a burst of modified technocyte cells that attack and infect an enemy, causing toxic damage over time. If another enemy comes within a certain range of the diseased enemy, they too become contaminated and this can keep spreading as long as there are enemies available. To keep this skill useful, every time a new enemy shows up and is infected the timer for the disease resets to a global one for all infected (possibly 3 seconds with damage tick per second), to keep it from being too overpowered, it will count down and dissipate if no more enemies enter the fray to make it best with a small to medium group of enemies.

2. Underworld Judgement: this is meant to be a fourth ability. Anubis opens a dimensional rift circle underneath his enemies, causeing them to be pinned down and slowly sink into the portal while taking small amounts of toxic damage. When enemies are sunk halfway the portal will close abruptly, instantly slicing limb and torso of any enemy that would be killed and knocking down any who would not (bosses and elite enemies).

I thought of this skill as a good crowd control and/or boss manager, stopping and damaging groups of enemies while your fellow Tenno go to town on them or recover from heavy attack. For bosses it can provide a slowdown or immobilisation for better group positioning.

Feel free to suggest any of the other 2 to fill out his set, I welcome constructive criticism :)

3.Voracious Swarm: A temporary poison aura/shield that causes melee attackers to be poisoned (for a set amount of time). Also maybe a temporary boost to armor. Could look like a green shield highlight around the frame, with a cloud of poison gas floating around.

Named after the submitter! The name combined with the suggested effects and look may have it be a toxic swarm of the modified technocyte flying around you.

4.Reaper's Kiss: Imbue weapons with toxic damage with a limited time buff (not sure if all weapons or just melee).

5.Death's Door: Teleport to nearest fallen ally and cast a short cloak that makes them invisible to enemies and pauses the health drain for a small amount of time. Once the cloak wears off the target is visible and continues to drain health accordingly(this can also be cast on yourself once felled).
If no ally has fallen, I am not sure if the skill is kept inactive or changes effect to still be useful.

Anubis
 
This Tenno specializes in control and manipulation of reality ( Utilizing Orokin "time-pocket" technology) to dominate and devastate foes.
 
1. Death's Grasp: Anubis extends his consciousness towards an enemy, lifting them in the air and draining years of life from them for a few seconds and then trowing them towards the nearest enemy for impact damage. While the grip is active before the throw, Anubis is vulnerable. The thrown enemy may hit multiple targets if a knockback or death occurs. Fusion increases the health drain and throwing force.
 
2. Possession: Anubis targets one enemy and swaps consciousness with it (Only works on non mechanical enemies, not on bosses) for this limited time Anubis' body is covered in an immobilizing shield that reduces damage by 90% and has full control of the possessed enemy. While enemy is in control you cannot swap weapons, use powers or advanced movement abilities (wall run, slide, etc.). You can attack,reload and move your target around to assault enemies for a limited time. Once the timer runs out or the possessed enemy dies, your consciousness returns and the shield detonates, causing damage and knocking back any enemies in the radius. Fusion increases possession time and knockback radius.
 
3. Encapsulate: Anubis creates a dome of distorted time, slowing enemies who are within it, leaving them vulnerable to flanking and attack for the duration of the dome as long as the enemies are inside it. Fusion increases the radius and duration.

The Polearm is Called Onuris, derived from the Egyptian God Anhur, meaning Slayer of Enemies.

My recent infatuation with Warframe made me develop it more and now it has been Warframed! The "Hair" was originally tendril spike pigtails but seeing as she has large armblades in her full suit (coming soon!) they clashed, so i went with a segmented plate look that fell easily over her upper back. This one is not necessarily warframe but in a similar vein. It was modified for SWTOR as an Imperial Agent suit hence the Empire symbol. It was initially made as a greatest hits of my fave "stealth suit" elements and i wanted it agile while still giving it some armor (any resemblance to turrets found in a popular inter-spatial manipulation game franchise is purely intentional).Just wanted to know what you guys think and if any of these elements would translate into a frame design.

zoot1wf_by_anthros-d5u7njm.jpgFull body concept of the assassin suit re-purposed for the Warframe universe(second version is with a more Warframe style "eyeless" design). The bladed parts were reduced to allow for the use of the existing arsenal of weapons and balanced on the legs. I wanted a thick and tough female frame as a counterpart to Rhino. The name shard is related to the plated look and possible shrapnel based powers.

I appologize for any proportional errors, this was an all-nighter and I wanted to get the idea right XD. Some proportions however, were intentional.

A toxin weilding warframe is a nice touch, what with toxic damage getting around shields. Love the art and the fact that you used the Egyptian guardian of the dead for this.

Underworld Judgement, as you said is fit for the fourth skill, what with them generally being some form of instant kill. Contagion Blast would likely be the second or third due to the ability for it to spread.

Again, love the artwork.

I love your art-syle. You obviously put lot of thought and effort in this project.

One thing I will criticize is that this is too close to original Egyptian deity. I mean, I don't even need to know that it's name is Anubis, it screams "Anubis". IMHO it could be more smooth, less detailed, with blank faceplate and more stylized ears - for me it's just too obvious. Aside from Rhino, you can't say what was inspiration to other warframes - you can guess, that Loki is Hammerhead (for me it looks like "Ohio" class submarine, more so with its new helmet.) or Ember is Basilisk/Chicken/Phoenix, but their inspirations are more vague.

Still, absolutely stunning project.

Hmm, I can see where you are coming from. It does seem pretty blatant. I think the detail as it Pertains to Warframe is not based on the subject of the suit, but the suit itself. I may create an alternate head then taking this into consideration, thanks a lot for the awesome feedback!

Just slight adjustment to head so it does not resemble it full on and you got your self something awesome right there, Horus is pretty awesome to fix up as well.

In truth i like it the way it is damn nice, only thing is the ears and chin rework, and its original, some might see it but ti wont represent it.

I totally agree. Most Frames are the essence of the theme not the theme slapped in your face lol, i will smooth out the facial deets and I will try to keep the chin shape and the eyeline marking but make everything else more subtle. From the wallpaper and a picture on the in-game store there is a (hopefully!) upcoming black slim warframe with a long style chin so not too out there!

Would be very great to see Anubis ingame, i like the whole design and the skills are not overpowered or something

also they are not similar to other skills... rly hope they will look at this.

As for skills it seems neat idea with poison and all...js having trouble thinking of an ult i blieve

Awesome game indeed! I did use those as inspiration a bit, tried to steer away from the long snout from the ZOE one. Thanks for your support, I really just have trouble finding a good second attack since Underworld Judgement is meant as an ultimate. I will keep thinking and adding as i see suggestions roll in!

Thank you! If the question is about the designs being good, I would like to think so! If it is about DE looking at them then I have no idea, I have not been approached yet that i am aware of! :)
