(XBOX)friartruck73 Posted March 14, 2018 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Due to controller limitations, I have reload and interact (accessing console, picking up volt shield etc.) on the same button, X on an Xbox controller. During eidolon fights, where the game is processing a lot of actions, accidentally reloading behind a volt shield picks up the volt shield, switches to secondary (all normal so far), but the primary weapon disappears and cannot be switched back to any way whatsoever. Walking around the area it disappeared spamming interact picks up the disarmed weapon about 50% of the time, but this is difficult as the disarmed weapon is invisible, no prompt for the pick up appears and there is the eidolons' attacks flying around. Moving away from the shield to reload sometimes picks up the shield anyway, 5-10 meters away, whether thats due to strain on processing or my high ping (Australia -> North America) I'm not sure, but this causes the issue as well. I'm surprised I haven't seen more about this bug, it's common for me when eidolon hunting and happened to another player in my group today as well. Thanks for taking the time to read this. This happened to me often enough as well, always with Volt. I stopped using him because it was very annoying losing your primary half way through the fight, specially at the last fight. Then I started having the issue where all my abilities were unusable and I couldnt go into operator mode either, could not revive teammates and neither revive myself, solution so far is not to play PoE and to try not to die, no specific order. It took me today 1.1/2 hours to do the sortie assassination part because this glitched happened to me 3 times in a row, right at the end... (XBOX)friartruck73 Posted March 16, 2018 Author Share Posted March 16, 2018 I've found moving into an inaccessible location (like a bottomless pit or the water on PoE) fixes that unusable abilities problem when you respawn, although it's slightly irritating having to cop a magnetic proc to do so at night. (XBOX)friartruck73 Posted March 24, 2018 Author Share Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) In most circumstances switching back to primary without dropping the shield (this automatically drops it for you) lets you keep the primary, or returns it if it has disappeared. Reloading while making sure the fire button is not being held down (eg. holding in a Lanka shot) seems to avoid picking up the shield and causing the bug.
