Unable to interact with objects and doors

All of a sudden, after already playing the game for about an hour or so, I joined a new match and was suddenly unable to interact with items (pressing x) or use doors.  I finished out the match just following my team mates, and could do everything else (pick up objects, kill mobs).  I tried rebinding the key, logging out and relogging back in, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but am still unable to interact with anything requiring the "x" key.
