Gandergear
Currently the in game report feature only deals with chat, but it could use a starightforward Report AFK option. Spitball on how it works, Player A notices Player B is afking, after asking them to participate to no avail the A reports B, this causes a script that monitors Bs inputs and movements and records them, at the end of the mission the file is sent to DE where they can view these inputs and determine if the player was AFKing, additional info such as chat log and the post mission stats should be automatically sent too. Really cool is if you could make a timelapse video of the recorded movements so you can see the object either sit in a spot for 10m or if it actually moved around and did things in just a few seconds, i think this system while requiring a good investment would be a powerful tool, since the amount of effort to report an afk player is simply too high, allowing such behavior to flourish. Or it could just send a screenshot, the EE.log, and the missions stats. A bot can automatically detect fake reports -throw out any report where report where B"s damage% beyond certain threshold -throw out any report where the chat log is completely empty (did you ask them to participate?) -throw out any report where both players are friends or are in the same clan or alliance -throw out report if player A has less damage than B And so on. tprx
Why would you throw out reports if the two players are in the same clan? Jerks can join clans too, you know 😉
