SpiderWaifu
I'm ~fine~ with the nerf to the Boltors damage, it's still a slaughtering machine. This is my problem > The bloody screenshaking when your bolts or an allies bolts hit a surface/enemy near you. The shaking gets less annoying the further you are from wherever it hits, but it's still a problem. Why is this a thing? Why must I be given a headache for trying to shoot nearby enemies, especially Infested.
Cleverbird
Yeah, it makes the weapon a nightmare to use against Infected, since they usually get close enough
Sealgaire
Meh, I like the screen shake for Bolt and melee weapons. Maybe I'm weird.
direcyphre
A counterpoint: Why would you ADS at that range in the first place?
Namacyst
Maybe it's the Boltor's downside. I mean... Gorgon got windup-time, HEK is a shotgun with range issues and the Boltor makes you sick when you close-range with it instead of using a fine and decend melee weapon like the Fragor (which will shake your screen too, ofc but it's awesome). CY13ERPUNK
it seems like they were trying to introducing some kind of "recoil" to the boltor but ya, i dunno, that seems like they screwed up....
SpiderWaifu
A counterpoint: Why would you ADS at that range in the first place? Force of habit. Another counterpoint: What does that have to do with a thread about bolt impact causing radial screenshaking?
direcyphre
Because two factors do not add up: -ADS -In close range While I'm sure its some sort of bug, I can't imagine why you would bother 'aiming' only to slow yourself down to shoot at targets that are coming straight for you or are already next to you. SpiderWaifu
You don't understand it too well do you? ADS DOESN'T make my screen shake even more. This is caused by the impact of bolts near by. Aswell, what ~targets~ where there in my linked video? I was shooting at a wall from different distances. Shoo poortroll. direcyphre
So you're saying this occurs when hipfiring as well? Please read my statements thoroughly as this is not trolling; if you are aiming down sights in close range, you are hindering yourself altogether regardless of what weapon you are using. SpiderWaifu
I'm saying this happens WHEN BOLTS IMPACT ANYWHERE NEAR YOU. This isn't just YOUR bolts, it's an allies bolts to. It's the projectile impact itself, not the act of firing them. How many more times do I need to say this? Namacyst
Well they increased the flying-speed of those bolts.. mabye it's the shockwave when they break the soundbarrier (which always and only occurs near you ^^). that would explain the.. aww.. nevermind :D
direcyphre
Can't say I've seen it occur when others use it, unless it's ADS only. I state this because I've never seen it when I run up to melee. If you hipfired in the same scenario you have shown in that video, or directly at the ground below you, does the same occur? With the exception of obvious recoil on some weapons, 'screen shake' occurs regardless of your aiming position, so if this is occuring only while aiming, it's a bug or incomplete intended effect. Carillon
the shake seems to have a radius of only 1 or maaaaybe 2m, and nonexsistent outside of that. (also, bolto causes it too. presume akbolto as well) strange, really. it'd really make it hell for anyone trying to melee your target, but with no effect on the boltor-shooter. in the end: super dumb, game would be better without it. Dendrobium
I'd like to have an option that can be switched in menu, to turn off shaking entirely. Someone probably like it, but I really hate it.
