Despair Or Hikou Prime?

I have the hikou prime and i was just wondering should i farm the stalker( as well as i can) for the despair? Or should i stick to the hikou? What are your thoughts on the weapons?

Depends on what kind of fire-rate/ammo efficiency you want. They're pretty much the same otherwise.

Edit: If you have the Concealed Explosives mod, Hikou Prime would probably go best with it.

Hikous prime has a higher fire rate and status chance, but dread has higher base damage. Hikou prime has a higher clip size too.

 

Personally, I like despair more. With lethal torrent, both weapons throw very fast anyway, so fire rate is meh.

Despair's just a good reliable secondary, but experiencing Hikou Prime with Concealed Explosives at least once is a must.

They are pretty much equal, apart from Despair being able to shoot the whole game whilist Hikou Prime running dry in a several minutes of use.

I love hikou prime.

I'd stick to the hikou till you get lucky enough to get dispair.

Otherwise I wouldn't go out of your way to farm for it.

They're about as good as each other though so really either one is a good choice.

Late to the party, but id say the Despair is the better option because when it comes to using Both weapons, the Hikou prime would run out of ammo quiet quickly, (even if the most common ammo drop is the Pistole Ammo) and the only way to counter this is with the Pistol Ammo Mutation mod.

 

the Despair on the other hand could possibly fill that mod slot for somting else damage wise (Seeker, Puncture damage booster?)

yah true, i think due to its higher status, i think that the hikou p is more of utility and despair is utility.

A little late, i guess but hey.

 

Guess pretty much everyone like Despair more, but would use Hikou P out of sheer efficiency of the later one. So basically as soon as Despair gets a buff - you should try to get it. If not - don't bother.

 

Personally, my true and only love are Lex pistols - good damage, crit rate, elemental chance, awesome ammo efficiency and looks cool, yet "conservative" :P

You should also be aware that "farming stalker" for despair ain´t that easy since despair is the rarest drop it has. I am in game over a year now and I still don´t have despair while I could build 5 hate and 2 dozen dreads just now, not counting the ones I already trashed/sold.

No bragging intended, but I got one when I was like MR 2-4 lols. I thought it was a bad weapon and didn't build it until I was like MR 10. XD
