  1. Are you discarding users running beyond the 60 meter range with the lures? If the lure is at 61m, it will not capture. Host/client discrepancy and lag can alter the position of both eidolon and lures between both views, so keeping them anywhere close to 60 meters makes the whole thing open to host/client mismatches. Were they actually charged? all three of them? Are you ensuring lures are not dying by the end? all 3 charged lures need to be in range when the kill shot against it happens.

It would help greatly to have a video of this (i assume you submitted one to support) because the entire player base has been spamming the trio since they were introduced, with groups now cheesing 5 runs a night and this is the first time anyone has ever mentioned this. It is always a user making an error, be it range, be it charge, be it lure died, be it lag. They are a guaranteed drop upon capture and it is only one condition for capturing, all three charged lures are in range.

  2. Without a booster, yes, the progress is much slower, but the gems are supposed to be rare. And by how they drop, they aren't really that rare. The chance of getting them from the veins is not really a problem, it's actually 'ok', you don't need anywhere close to a perfect trace. The problem is the blue veins are rarer to appear compared to orange, giving you a lesser amount of attempts.

But boi do i not share this experience with boosters, so i'll call this hogwash or really crap luck, like really bad. I'm actually sitting at almost 220 heart nyths and 190 radian sentirums, after having crafted virtuous strike (2 sets) and fury, as well as magus husk, vigor, elevate, nourish. It skyrocketed from around 70 and 60 ish without booster and before starting with the arcanes around 20 days ago and since I have an absurd surplus, I finished the requirements way earlier.

With a resource (orange) booster, you get twice the amount, but the veins are still rare, but can still walk at least with 2-8 (mixed between nyths and sentirums) on the timeframe of a 4/5 stage bounty.

Now, since one of the recent hotfixes, the holy grail for mining blue veins is the drop chance (blue) booster, blue veins become insanely common, like really, and you can walk out with 10-20 (mixed) or even more in a single bounty if you pair it with the orange booster. This blue one for fish is also insane. 3/7 days and you really do get that plat worth to clear any fish/gems requirement and have a surplus.

Is this how it is supposed to be? to me this is just like the rest of the game, plat/money to rush stuff up, the entirety of DE's business model.

  3. Adaro is more like 20 minutes without booster and 10 minutes with booster. For a completely relaxed eidolon night run you could calculate using 155k from the trio and 25k or 50k from two teralysts, which is what I usually end up doing whenever I get a chance to pug.

    Adaro w/o booster: 12.5

    Adaro w/ booster: 25

    Eidolon chill bad: 3.6

    Eidolon chill good: 4.1

But that is only accounting the run, as you said, eidolons can be done multiple times a day, unlike adaro. But shards do not count towards cap, so not doing the cap means you are missing out on easy 250k.

    Hello,

I was wondering is there a certain number I should set my ping limit to in the game options to try and avoid laggy hosts as much as possible? If so what number can I safely use without getting long wait times. It's rather annoying trying to play a mission where all the mobs and just rubber banding all over the place and loot is taking forever to be picked up.

It depends on where you are from and how many players are in your region, so whatever number anyone tells you may not apply to you unless they live in the same country or even state, or if the internet infrastructure is bad in your country, or have the same provider. Say your internet provider is bad, or you are very remote, even if you set it to 200 for example, you may have trouble finding players.

I have it at 100, don't really have problem finding people. But whatever you set it at, you will still be dropped into hosts that have a high ping from the get go, or get worse as more people join, and this will happen a lot of times.

For me, anything past 140-150 ruins the game completely. You can just try it out, start lowering the limit, nothing bad is going to happen, if you see you are not getting matched as much as you like after a couple of days, then you may have to increase it, or live with the high ping.

This game MUST NOT allow anyone with less than 10Mbps of upload to host any game. It makes everything impossible to play when someone with a terrible upload speed host a session(lots of lags for everyone, loading is slower, if he quits it takes SEVERAL MINUTES to change host, etc)

It all can be avoided by simply testing speed of every player once a month, in the launcher (add a butom to test more ofter, for those who want/need). Then when the player start a mission, if he was marked as "low speed" he will need to wait another person start a game to begin, or play alone. That way he won't destroy anyone's experience(including himself)

You have 0 clue about what you posted, you didn't even research anything. Network route/path/hops is exponentially more important to response time rather than bandwidth. Even still, more important than upload speed is the capacity of the hardware running the game, crap network card, crap CPU, crap RAM, can all yield a bad experience to the clients. Sometimes you get good ping, but the enemies and the entire world state is just teleporting/clipping/warping around. Even the client's ISP can also be temporarily experiencing bad routing to a given end point, that will simply go a away in a few minutes or hours.

I have 1 gig fiber, that doesn't mean I will serve the entire world with good ping. In fact, anything outside the US will get sh*t ping from me. Why? network routes.

Your speed test is insanely flawed since ping and even speed depends on which server you use to test and its location. You can't just say that arbitrarily because whatever DE's location chooses it to be, will only be good for people close to that location or whose ISP's backbone has a shorter route to it.

TLDR, network bandwidth is not the key element to good response times. Warframe's upload can't saturate a 1 mbps upload line.

  6. For posterity, and our future tenno generation that will take the lotus university admission test.

"Burst", or simply, DPS, is not linked to magazine size, it is however directly proportional to the fire rate. It's the damage per second, that's it, literally what it states, you shoot, start measuring damage and stop measuring after 1 second, that's the damage per second... the amount of damage it did in 1 second, no other way to put it. Not the total damage it did until you need to reload, unless the time to empty the magazine is exactly 1 second (wraith twin viper and lethal torrent at 40 mag size and 40 fire rate (bullets per second)). Even if the time to empty is less than 1 second, you can still say, it would output in 1 second, that amount of damage even though it will never realize it (wraith twin viper+lethal torrent+gunslinger empties out in 0.68 seconds). Conversely, if your fire rate is 1, then your DPS will always be the same as your damage per shot as you are only shooting 1 bullet in 1 second.

In warframe, due to the multishot mechanic that magically lets you shoot more bullets without consuming these extra bullets, damage per bullet is sometimes interchanged with damage per shot, as it is in shotguns, i.e the sum of all the pellets or "magical sub-bullets", for rifles and secondaries, that are released in one shot.

The "amount of damage you will do emptying one clip before needing to reload" is none other than the damage per magazine which is magazine size multiplied by the damage per shot, which is not equal to the damage per second, unless you empty your magazine in 1 second i.e fire rate = magazine size.

Or, another way, the damage per second is the damage per magazine (magazine capacity multiplied by damage per shot), divided by the amount of time it takes to empty it.

Sustained DPS takes into account the reloading time. It is simply added to the time it takes to empty the magazine. Basically, time to empty the magazine + the time to reload.

    Spoiler

You could say that you spread the reload time among all bullets, as a delay on the time each bullet takes to leave the gun (slowing fire rate), creating the scenario where you are eternally shooting with a slower fire rate as you now have an instantaneous reload time that takes exactly, 0 seconds.

So you get the magazine size, multiply it by the damage per shot, then divide it by the time to empty the magazine + the time to reload.

    Soma prime (unmodded)

    Shots in each magazine: 200
    Damage per shot: 19.2
Fire rate: 15 shots per second
    Reload time: 3 seconds
    Time to empty the magazine = 200 / 15 = 13.33... seconds

    Burst DPS = 19.2 * 15 = 288 damage per second.
    You can also say that it is = (200 * 19.2) / 13.33 = 288 or so.

    Sustained DPS = ( 200 * 19.2 ) / (13.33 + 3) = 235 or so.

With this, you can say the soma prime now has a sustained fire rate of 12.24 shots per second (200 / 16.33) and has a reload time of 0 seconds.
For which 12.24 shots per second multiplied by 19.2 damage per shot gives you, 235 or so. Thus, water is wet.

    http://warframe-builder.com/Primary_Weapons/Builder/Soma_prime

As for melee, for warframe builder, it is simply whatever attack speed it says, multiplied by the damage each hit does, multiplied by the combo counter multiplied by channeling bonus.

The sustained melee dps is clearly the amount of times it takes to pull the sword out of your a** and swing it. Just kidding. It states it is the same as the burst dps as there's no reload time in melee.

Don't use warframe builder to compare melee damage as it assumes attack speed is linear among all melee weapon types, which is false.

    >Playing bounties with other players and not solo

    LUL

It's a co-operative game, this is a broken co-operative mechanic in a publicly available game mode, which allows for 1 player to ruin the rest hampering progression in its totality. He's not asking for the player to change, he's just asking for the co-operative mechanic to continue working when not all of the squad plays the objective of the mission. This needs to be accounted for because there's is no reason for the hostage to not work like the drone and follow a calculated path, or do anything else instead of following a single player.

DE marketing revolves around co-op, their development focus revolves around co-op.

He can report all he wants, this is in every sense of the word an oversight from the development team and their fault. Even though the player is griefing, the mechanic should still work.

Typically the "playing solo" is when you don't want to put up with other players' playstyle, builds, lack of knowledge, or any other subjective matter, not as a bandaid for a broken core mechanic.

    I reported this a month ago, https://forums.warframe.com/topic/859731-rescue-target-teleport-bug/

Maybe join a game with actual competitive elements instead of pretending that spamming missions 24/7 is some sort of achievement?

Or he can play conclave, where actual skilled competition could take place. But alas, PVE elitist scrubs follow the same motto, the one who wastes the most amount of time = better player.

Riven mod does not show up under mods for any melee weapon. I've tried rerolling and I've ranked up and even tried trading back and forth between players.yk0rr8Y.jpg

I'm going to state the obvious and say that the riven mod is for the weapon called "Mios" (it says it right there in the name), it can't be equipped on any other melee weapon, that's why it doesnt show on any other melee weapon. It will only show for the mios.

    Do you have the mios?

  11. The only workaround at the moment is to not use the capacity points provided by the stance. Using up any of the 10 capacity points, aside from disabling the stance, it also seems to break other mods applied because there is not enough capacity. In order to use this workaround it may mean you either forma until the stance's capacity points are not used, or remove some of the mods, i.e it shows 10+/total, and go with an incomplete build.

What's the difference between red and blue veins anyways?

What they drop. I think red are ores (metallic?) like ferros, pyrol, auroxium. Blue ones are gems (sentirum, nyth, azurite? crimzian?)

I have now done 3 Bounties where the host leaves after completion . . . . a host migration occurs . . . and you dont get any of the rewards . . . . and the bounty displays as done . . . so you cant do it again to get standing.

Then you do a Hunt on Eidolon and after collecting all the rewards for killing the Teralyst with 4 lures on him . . . . guess what . . . the host leaves . . . (and i assume he collects the rewards for being host) . . . . and i got 3 intact cores for all my effort.

Please get a fix for this because it is frustrating  . . . . when the game should actually be a pleasure with all the new content available . . . . . .Please be civil and realistic about this.

How is that blanket trolling exactly? If host wants to stay after the bounty to do whatever he wants and leaves squad, that is not trolling. If host does not want to deal with players who stay after the mission fishing/mining, that is not trolling. It is no different than host leaving at wave 5 of defense and causing a host migration to the others who want to continue.

They just have to clean up the leave squad option so it doesn't cause missing rewards, which hasn't happened to me all the times host has left, the only thing I got was bounty failed and that was fixed a couple of days ago. Rewards are also saved the moment the bounty finishes (according to DE). So why not report bugs with the "leave squad" option malfunctioning instead of calling anyone who uses the option "troll"?

I mean, people asked for an option to leave individually from the plains and finally we got it. Warframe is peer 2 peer, there always has to be a host migration if host wants to leave squad. Or wait, let me guess, he is not supposed to leave the squad because <insert self entitled reason>?

I would like to reply to you, but to be honest the amount of ad hominum and salt in your reply makes me think it would not be productive of me to do so.

So if you'd like to have a civilised discussion without name calling, then let me know. I'll respond in kind. If not, have a good rest of the day.

I'm sure you would. Solid words from the one who jumped into the high horse and dissed with the reason: paid visibility (which there even isnt) = not free market. So aside from having no clue as to what you were criticizing, there wasn't even a proper conceptual pairing.

Warframe.market is a privately owned classifieds/listings website funded by volunteers. It's not an economy, it's not an economic system, it's not a stock exchange. It aids a game with a completely controlled economy by an entity called Digital Extremes (the completely authoritarian entity), ruled by random number generator and a strictly predefined set of rules changeable on a whim by a small number of people. There are no means of production, anything that happens inside is a complete byproduct of the rules digital extremes has implemented. Rare items are rare because DE wields it, common items are common because DE wields it, uncommon items are uncommon because DE wields it. Whatever supply and demand, surplus and scarcity exists in the game, it is, in it's totality, an artificial creation of Digital Extremes. That 50K plat primed chamber, you know why it's that price? The initials are DE. What free market is not, "i price it any way i want", that's just freedom of choice really.

There really is no discussion because what you criticized is not there, warframe.market is not an economy and what you initially tried to argue is not even valid.

By the way, "ad hominem", you call it that if you want, or whatever other fallacy you pulled from the info-graphic. It doesn't change anything regarding warframe.market, can't really undermine an argument that flat-lined.

In the spirit of the free market, no one is stopping anyone from creating a competitor to warframe.market straight out of their own pocket. Create away.

You seem to be missing that this would be far easier for someone to just go catch the fish. It really is not hard.

The root issue here - laziness. People want stuff handed to them. Why do people not expect us to be forced to fish? Why, in a free to play game, should we not have to grind?

PC players were given a 3 day resource booster. Meaning all fish caught were doubled. Even without this, the requirements are fairly low anyway.

I have 2,500 (give or take) of the lowest generic fish component (5000 or so of the highest). I have not been just fishing, I have done plenty of things too. I have also used masses of these to make archwing charges.

It is simple, people should fish rather than invest their time in complaining about fishing.

Or people can play the game, grind playing the game, you know shooting things, using the warframe, all the mods, using some degree of skill and coordination, which is the point of thread. Not removing fishing and handing them the reward, but remove fishing and replace it with a proper game mode that is actually entertaining to grind to obtain amps and whatever else has 0 relevancy with fishing, and not use a braindead snoozefest made for mmorpg nooblets. Even with the crap rewards, bounties are a far better option than fishing.

  16. Define the extent of "not helping", because you sound like the typical hyperefficiency-deploy-archwing on every stage of the bounty type of dude, so recruit chat is right there for you. I do the objectives, but I don't hyper-rush them. If I see a land resource along the way, I grab it, even if it means steering just a bit outside the hyperefficient vector line towards the objective. If I see a mining spot a long the way, or even at the objective and there's slack time, I mine it. Once the bounty is over, I return by land as fast as I can but scraping resources on the way back, unless I feel I've gotten enough variety then deploy archwing. Although I never fish during the bounty. By the time the bounty is over, I come out with a good variety of resources, instead of just 20 grohkul and 6 iradite. Rarely do I get hard carried even doing the in-betweens, unless there's a mesa or ember, and when I get a crap team, I can carry with no problems because bounties are not that hard and always have a prepared loadout. Even with the in-betweens sometimes I'm always first to the objective, other times not.

Steering completely off the map to fish and mine and 100% ignore the bounty, yes bad. Getting resources along the way? that's normal gameplay. Let's get something straight, if you have special needs, you use special services. So if the player is a raging cancer kid on excess caffeine actually chain-grinding for the joke of reward tables on the bounties, intolerant to any degradation of their efficient streak, recruit chat/solo/invite only/leave squad is there for their use.

  17. Not sure if reported, but since 22.0.8 hovering over the zaw in the arsenal or trying to mod it causes stuttering. It only happens with the zaw, all the other melee weapons are fine.

Edit 1: Selecting a zaw also craps out selecting a primary/secondary (using equip) and primary/secondary modding screen stutters when adding/removing mods, which I noticed after I recorded the video.

Edit 2: The problem stops happening if, (1) you load into a mission with the zaw equipped, then come back to the orbiter and (2) if the zaw is already equipped when you launch warframe and log in. However, if you select another melee then go into a mission, come back, then select a zaw in arsenal, the problem reappears.
