  1. They can indeed be usefull in just about any mission where you need a little backup, though in some extra high level areas mine tend to die quite fast.

A few nice tips about Tenno specters:

Specters can receive most buffs just like any other ally, which means you can heal/protect them if they get hurt.

If they dont take too much damage when they go down, you can revive them if you act quickly.

They do not account for travel time when aiming, so projectile weapons have decreased effectiveness in *some* situations, (it's often fine.)

They like to reload often, so you might not want to give them a high reload time weapon.

They use their powers, (usually 1or2) but do not use them reliably, Dont count on it.

They scale with mission level, better specters get a level boost.

They dont use mods, so never give them a crit weapon. it's sad to see a specter running around with a soma.

They will melee if in range, and can preform finishers, and they do good damage.

They are more reliable then syndicate specters, especially when moving, which, you usually are in warframe. (they have better AI)

They only use their 2ndary when downed.

They are not acquired by RNG, it's based on how you complete the rescue mission.

Personally I tend to just make a large amount of vapor/phase specters then use them occasionally, since they cost less then the better ones.

  2. So far the tenno response to most obstacles is "Kill Everything."

Want to learn a stance? Kill everything.

Want to steal resources? Kill everything.

I heard Maroo might be friendly towards us, we'd better kill her allies, stab, and abduct her.

    Want mods? Kill everything.

    Need to Heal? Kill everything.

    Need Energy? Kill everything.

Darvo wants his stolen ship back? Kill his crew.

Want to distract enemies? Kill everything.

The corpus and grinner fighting eachother? Kill them both.

Need some fancy ice to keep exotic jellyfish cold? Kill everything. (actual thing that happened.)

Want a puppy? Burn their homes.

I was once in a bugged defense mission where the countdown wouldn't finish, So I tried Killing Everything.

     It Worked.

I would be in favor of more peaceful gameplay options, even if it didn't actually make a difference.

  3. Keep in mind the infested controls it's host, which means the chance of him actually wanting to be cured is slim.

The chance that you're actually giving the infested hivemind something to make them *more powerfull* is high.

  4. You say that but it's not like Tenno dont attack them either.

On that note, maybe it's just me but it seems like they dont prioritize friendly tenno, I'v ran through groups of Hexis without them even looking at me funny, as long as I didnt shoot them.

  5. I also very much like Nyx and agree she could use a bit of work, Two easy small buffs that would help a lot would be to allow:

Mind Control to work on multiple targets (~3, maybe affected by mods.)

Chaos to be recastable, would help and not really any reason for it not to be.

  6. I used the old parkour system a lot, and have become quite competent with the new one as well, and it's pretty good for the most part, could use some tweaking and polish, but doesn't have many massive problems.

However, this is one of them.

When you're moving at high speeds, jumping around, over, past, and latching angled to enemies, having to "aim" in order to glide or latch makes preforming quick shots uncomfortable, annoying, and harder then it should be, because you're forced to tunnel vision and have your aim speed itself slowed.

This is not what you want when you're trying to quickly shoot enemies.

(also aiming while latched seems to screw up the camera a lot and make crap block your view.)

For any devs reading this, the best way is to see for yourself, try out parkour without the forced zoom in your devbuild, I'm sure you'll feel how much more fast and comfortable it is.

For any players, you can get a small taste of this with melee weapons, since you can parkour without the zoom, even if you cant shoot.

I'm sure there are dozens of different ways or possible binds to solve this; But Personally:

I would bind latching to the lack of shift when at walls, i.e., you just at a wall holding space, holding shift lets you run around the wall, while not will latch you, as long as you're still holding space.

on a slightly different note we were also told we would be able to jump or latch to nearly every surface, however I cant seem to latch to the ceiling, or jump on it for that matter. it would be pretty cool if we could.

also ya'll should check out cloudbuilt if you like  snazzy wall running.

  7. If you guys dont stay on topic this thread will get locked and you'll look like a bunch of brats;

The frame is both, if you want to get highly technical and specific about it they're female because their main, merged form is more feminine.

But in reality they are both, They have a Male form, a Female form, and can cross between the two effortlessly at will, taking advantage of both,

They're gender-fluid, they are whatever they want to be, and therefor whatever YOU want them to be. crossdressing, androgynous, trans, both, neither, feminine masculine,

    Yin and Yang.

      Yea, especially that last one.

  8. Nothing can prevent them from nullifying your powers, that`s why they are called "nullifiers". Plus, this should be in players helping players section :/

He's making a suggestion, not asking about mods.

Also having mods specifically for mobs like that would not be a good thing to handle it, it would make people feel like they are losing a mod slot if they happen to be fighting those enemys, or that it's unfair if they dont have it.

    It sets a bad precedent.

  9. No, he's entierly correct.

There is a simple solution. Active Caching. Basically, if you crash, your computer saves the data that you've acquired so far in the mission, and checks it with whats in the server, then makes sure you have what you're missing.

Also, the server needs to actively take snapshots mid-mission so we can keep all our items if we get a host migration.

That's not the point, the point is that everything he's said is not of his own tongue. Even his very wording is just pulled off of other things.

    For example,

The logic is real.  Almost two years in and this isn't a priority.

His account's only existed for less then 2 months and he's made no posts asking people about any of this.

    "The logic is real."

    little

    too

    much

    internet.
