  1. Cool, my clan, discord group and I have all been playing since the closed beta became open, and we're all really psyched about some of the upcoming changes.  All the really big machineguns getting huge buffs?  Certain primes and prisma weapons getting a chance to shine?  More gloriously cinematic boss battles on the plains?  Yes, yes, and yes!   They've given us 'veteran' players sitting at MR24/25 a bunch of stuff to play around with, and most of us are pretty darn happy about it.

Who even ruddy cares that they're taking raids down for a bit to rework them?  They're coming back.  Maybe after DE reworks them they'll actually be content we want to get into, rather'n the current status quo of 'once was enough thanks'.

  2. Honestly, there's absolutely no reason for Limbo's powers to negatively impact squadmate weapons.  His is literally the only set of abilities that can prevent other players from doing ranged damage, and it's absolutely without any benefit to the impacted players.  Banish is similarly a sore thumb, being the only thing that will reduce damage done by a player, and with all the rifts most careless limbo players leave lying around, it's a problem.

Limbo can be an incredibly incourteous frame to bring if not used properly, and only ever truly shines in extreme circumstances.  For everything else, a properly-assembled Frost has a heck of a lot more going for him without dragging the team down.  DE should seriously consider a rework of how Limbo functions.

  3. Please read what I wrote.  I'm talking about people who select one of Konzu's bounties, then go out of their way to spend the entire time being literal kilometers away from any of the objectives whatsoever.  Most of the random (if not impossible) tangents you've brought up have nothing to do with this issue.

Seriously though, if a player is never within 500m of an objective for a bounty, or within the area for the bounty itself for longer objectives, the rewards should not be given to them, as they clearly aren't involved.  The only exception to this might be the rescue objective, which is already in need of some fine-tuning.

It only hurts the gameplay experience to have a player join with what is clearly a complete lack of intention for assisting the squad they're on.

Mmm...  Warframe's PoE + PUBG...   running about a shrinking safe zone Plains map with a battle royale and a potential hostile Teralyst spawn towards the middle-end?  It would be awesome and get the salt flowing again.

This is possibly the only post of value to come out of this thread.  Definitely an idea I'd love to try, though I have a suspicion warframe's netcode isn't anywhere near ready to handle this kind of thing.

  5. So, having run a fair number of bounties on Cetus, I've noticed an annoying trend - moochers.  People who sign on for one of Konzu's bounties, join a party, and then spend the entire mission either fishing or mining very far away from any of the actual objectives.  It strikes me that, if someone's going to do that, they absolutely should not be rewarded for their lack of complete participation with that bounty's payout.  Since these players are actively doing something, they're not going to trigger the AFK timer, but it's still very frustrating to have two or three squad members doing the work while another squad member goes fishing in some distant part of the map.

Would it be possible to implement some form of distance-based exclusion from a bounty's rewards?

Apparently you need to aim your spear at the water to get fish to spawn.

I guess they did it that way so you can't just find ponds full of fish and have a fishing frenzy.

I been doing that, man.  It's been quiet, daytime, the water's deep enough, I'm looking at the water, I'm near the water... Does squadmate activity elsewhere cause issues?  Does it prioritise alerts over fish?

While I dont agree with the highlighted portion, I 100% agree with the rest of this.

I do see the parallels. I'm just not pissed about it. I'd be mad if they ridiculed it, but they didn't. Like I said, I think they actually did well with Rell's persona. They didn't use his autism as a gimp. They used it as a tool, and they built his story around it.

Now if DE had gone and mocked Rell for being that way. Then yeah, I'd be pissed too.

It's not the fact that he's a ham-fisted parallel that I'm mad about.  It's that he's a ham-fisted parallel that murdered a whole bunch of people and is ostensibly a horror movie villain who can only be dealt with via killing him.  This whole thing was basically another 'different kid becomes outcast, does horrible things and must be destroyed' plot, with a little bit of his perspective thrown in to keep it from being completely derivative.

And, for the record, yeah.  The operator fight was complete nonsense; switching between frame and operator would've worked perfectly fine for that and there was no reason to hamstring the player that hard.

Hay man. Speak for your self. I thought the quest was very, very good. Our difference is im not pissed off over a characterization who, at least I thought, was very well written and has potential for more expansion in the future.

I think you're a little too trigger happy on the subject of Rell being autistic. What at all was patronizing about this? DE made his character to be strong, but tired. "He suffers while you dream"

His entire character is a martyr. What's so bad about that?

They literally gave him a fidget spinner, emotional flip-cards, disassociation issues, and a savant-like understanding of void travel.  I don't know how you ain't seeing the parallel here, my guy.

That, and the 'solution' to this kid's problem is to kill him.  Because he's been corrupted by the void.  We jumped through twenty different hoops to un-infest Alad V from an advanced orokin bioweapon, what's wrong with trying to help Rell out with something other than a shot to the head?

  9. Here's the short version :

Please do not let whoever wrote the plot for Chains of Harrow do any more writing ever again.

    Here's the long version :

Wow, DE, did you ever drop the ball.  Nobody who has an inkling of decency when it comes to disorders and conditions is happy about this.  How, in 2017, did you decide that an agonisingly hamfisted and utterly unignorable parallel to autism was the right thing to do with your horror-based antagonist?  How did that ableist third-rate horror-movie plot become the thing you hyped us all up for?

Like, the emotion cards, the 'you're not broken' speech.  How enormously insensitive do you have to be to put this kind of patronising crap in, then have him chop up a bunch of his allies, then have Margulis abandon one of the kids she faced an execution sentence to protect?  How the hell does THAT fit into her character?

And then, you top it off with 'the only way to fix this broken child is to murder him, go get 'im tiger'.  Take the 'void touched' child who's been dumped, abandoned and left to rot that we're somehow supposed to feel sympathy for, and then we blast his face with hand-lasers.  Could've, y'know, come to a peaceful resolution, or CLEANSED HIM LIKE THE RED VEIL IS SUPPOSED TO.  There were so many other ways of ending that plot rather than 'euthanize the broken child', but nah, we got to go full eugenicist on that chump.  Fan-bloody-tastic.

Oh, and this plot turned Red Veil from a bunch of brutal, sleek zealots of wrath into a bunch of religious loons following a bunch of cultist hooey.  So that's just icing on this awful cake.

You guys really ought to be better than this kind of thing.  You've made so many good plotlines, like war within and second dream, and then you make us all cringe through this colossal disappointment.
