  2. not burning because of it, but it's accounted for what is happening to the gameplay atm as well.

Almost every little change made to the melee and parkur system for the past 'years' is at fault for making the game feel less engaging, less responsive. There are less animation transitions, less obstacles, less feedback to the player, everything resumes to resgistered damage numbers on screen and a clusterf of buffs toggling on and off, not even the Warframe abilities stop player novement now. At this rate the difference between firing at a mob and meleeing it are gonna come down to animation alone, while the player character behaves like a wet ice cube sliding agross a flat polished granite surface.

  3. Not much relevant, but Paladino also addresses Lotus as Queen.

On one hand, chances of Paladino being Orokin are close to none (I think Veil's entire foundation comes from Rell?)... on the other... It enforces that everybody who addresses her as Queen is heavily aware of her origins.

  4. All I hear is... people using a cause to dismiss another...
Implying that large companies should never invest their time and money into humanitary causes (because it will allways be a form malicious dark magic self promotion regardless of how it's done)
Using the therm political to dismiss a humanitarian cause... like the word 'political' in itself is a form of pejorative. As if ideologies had no part in it.

Here is the thing. If a cause exists, and instead of identifying and relating to it, people start to use other groups to take its value away... no one is going anywhere. The world will never change.

  5. Dota... You're taking one of highest finnest top example of balance and stability in gaming and using it to advocate in favor of game breaking mechanics? what the hell man... Those devs are dedicated to tweaking every little manacost, cooldown, ability range... mitigating factors all for the sake of balance.

Don't make a cycle of excuses about it. NO, simply NO. Balance is a holy grail and it should be kept that way no matter the cost.

When people have 2k+ hours and ask for massive nerfs I often wonder if they just want to change the game so it's just keeps them interested or if they just want the game to change because it's what would have appealed to them from the beginning. And if they do make the changes they want, how long before they get bored of that version?

    Pretty much the absolute opposite.

When people with 2k+ hours ask for massive nerfs, they're asking for the game to be more like what it was when it got them to start playing.

Entertainment industry has the terrible habit of making people think they want something other than what invited them in the first place.
It should instead be wondering: If the current changes were present back then, when this kind of player got it, would this game have the profile to keep that player? When it was so different than what it is now. Or would them have passed?

  7. The part that really discourages me is that, a small number of people saw this whole Power Fantasy BS coming from miles away, 'the consequences of letting imbalance in your game' years ago... but we were the minority back then, naturaly, noone cared.

Worse is, the game has gone that path so far that I fear the necessary number of changes to get it back on track is just overwhelming. It literaly pushed away player who would rather enjoy a more tuned experience and invited a playerbase that's in only for the hype. And that's dangerous. It changes the rules of what can or can't be done with the game anymore.

Damage meta is really just a small part of it right now. I disagree with almost every time DE removed the need to stop moving to cast an ability, remove of melee/guns transition animation, removal of requiring to interact with the scenario, etc...

  8. Do you people not see the irony and paradox in your requests?

Players say they want better rewards then say meta is bad. - meta is direct consequence of using items and abilities that are objectively better than the average, that scale out of control.

Players say the game is too easy then say you don't want nerfs and you want less grind. - the game will remaiin broken umbalanced if your all mighty frames don't get nerfed and if the mobs keep on dying 2 seconds after they spawn. Which causes stages to end quickly. If stages last too little, DE needs to increase the number of times you play them so players remain playing, aka grind.

Players say they want stronger mobs then cry about power creeps. - I don't even know how to make this more obvious

Players say they want more challenge then request more mobs - How is increasing the mob count 10 fold doing anything for challenge when all it achieves is having more mobs die the same way?

If anyone'd ask me... game needs major leveling, all accross the board, mobs need to be bullet sponges more than they need armor. Bullet jumping and spazzing action gameplay needs to have its legs broken. One thing is to have a fast pace, another is to have instant animations without transitions, without stops, that is not fast paced, that's not having pace at all. Area damage needs to be inefficient. And btw Parkour is about iteracting with your scenario, with the obstacles themselves, not free bullet and double jumping any direction you want because that's even "better" than sprinting in a straight line.

  9. Last time I tried the revised update I took my Volt p to a sortie, it was a mobile defense mission, corpus, didn't really touch the build. It's basically an all balanced Volt who is also a though cookie to crack, has plenty health, armor, quick thinking, flow, rage and a few other things, does not have a single shield dedicated mod. It barely took any health damage, halfway through the mission I wasn't even rolling or trying to evade damage at all. Been a bit discouraged since.

  10. Wouldn't be surprised if the ~1% chance spawn is shared across the entire match, and it could possibly end up in a grineer cache on a Crew Ship, Derelict or on the missile launching station...

...however... there is also a possibility that the rare drop doesn't make a distinction between whether the cache is grineer or sentient and applies to the entirety of the match instead. Like how ground units on Uranus can also drop Tellurium... But this is all just stretch and speculation.

  11. *Cross arms*

    ...gosh...

You people actually know that we saw a Corpus capital ship assault on the very first time ever that Railjack was announced. We saw a Void storm approaching the battlefield. a Lich with his own Crew Ship. These are not plans, NEITHER CONCEPTS. These assets exist, There is actual f****** footage of it. DE is just being further careful with implementation.

  12. I personally think it's a very balanced system. The worse thing that could happen imo, is to see an ability that cheeses Veil Proxima. For as long as that's not a thing, I'm ok with the system.

While there are overwhelming avionics that straight forward outclass the weaker variants.. these op avionics are also VERY expensive capacity wise. You may find yourself having to sacrifice an OP one in favor of a smaller varient which is also less costly... Sure, I just got my hands recently on a Vidar MKIII reactors with whopping +89 capacity (119 total) which should cover all my needs... But I still want to give it a try at those +49 reactors with a chance to close breaches or put out fires (sounds worth a shot)

  13. Pretty much EVERYTHING you get to research or build is one time only. The grid to some of future weapons may sound overwhelming, but still, it's a ONE TIME ONLY. Once players are done with that, the only thing left to do with those resources will be the payload.

    Don't change a single thing.

  14. Stop watching streamers that call anything content draught. yet DE has never shipped as many updates as it did in 2019 this far. We've entirely new tilesets and map reworks along with frames and weapons, Mogamu at this point is just firing at any direction.

Warframe has one main problem. Balance. If there is a meta going on that makes every frame or build look underwhelming, that feeling will apply to every future content the devs try to introduce into the game. I literaly gave up trying to address this subject but it's this simple:

Balance keeps people entertained, trying out different things because they are all worth the time, a player ultimately enters a quest to find him/herself, to find a build he/she is confortable with, not to overpower one, this can be virtually a endless experience. People enjoy that a lot of times without being aware of it. Any new update is a possibility of expanding those options.

Meta does precisely the opposite. Meta is a hype of overkilling stuff, every new content only provides entertainment long enough untill proven underpowered or dismissable. And then they call it 'content draught'. The power fantasy addiction shoved so deep in that place that they don't want to admit it to be the problem.

On the flip side, looking at the general feedback area, it seems like my request is not alone.

There is also a S#&$ ton of people (raises hand) who simply got sick tired of stating how much new content will get washed off by the meta, and... we simply stopped doing it. Doesn't mean that we changed our oppinions at all, we just got sick of trying to voice it.

I used to say this long before PoE even droped: "People are just gonna run ahead of the team with the biggest aoe they can, like they do everywhere else" and it got so much worse since then...

Key problem imo is scaling. Buffing other weapons aint gonna solve anything, nor buffing mobs. It's literaly ONLY GOING TO MAKE IT WORSE. Because, well, scaling. I don't understand how can people look at frames that can do over 10x the damage of another and think that's ok. Meanwhile on other games a character with 30% dmg above the others is considered a dps or carry.
Also, buffing older mods/abilities/mobs has been done long enough to prove it's not helping.

or...they can just move on because art is entirely subjective and no design is going to fit every persons flavor? some people are going to love this deluxe, some won't, just like every other deluxe in the game excuse nezha empyrean which is without fault. the look is optional, and fortunately we know there will be more, and ivara has some lovely tennogen as well, options are out there.

It's a lot simpler really. Resumes to "don't change the formula". The public's reception is as simple as "I can relate to this". Change it and buckle up for some backlash. Contrary to what the industry and what devs like to say: nobody really has to accept change.

This skin would have been perfect for some other frames. I'd be all over it if it were Volt's deluxe skin. But my girl Ivara is supposed to be the most adorable frame with a big dangly head with large hips which that somehow look like a bunny (Hitsusan got it). And I'm not agreeing with big variations of that concept (that's why we have other frames to begin with). Just as I'm not agreeing with the full non balanced power fantasy direction the game has taken.

Changes are bad all around. It's not a matter of what is good or bad, it's a matter of relying on a concept that you already presented to the public, and why would you change it after the public has decided it likes it.

It failed as that. So they had to turn it into a fast paced game that's fun to play instead, which is an incarnation it has been wildly successful as.

If there are two lines of development, A and B. and A is succesful, it doesn't immediatly means that B couldn't have turned out even better.

When parkour got reworked the devs introduced the stamina bar, then removed it almost immediatly at player demand. We never tried it long enough to see how it'd fit in the game. Now, there is a pretty big number of adventure games out there from Minecraft to Monster Hunter that rely on a stamina gimmick to keep the abuse of a few mechanics checked. They seem to do it succesfully enough.

Here's the interesting thing about that.  Before Ember was nerfed, most of us who knew better had said in all the Nerf Ember topics that players would just move to Saryn if/when Ember got nerfed.

Post Nerf:  Look what happened just as we said it would.

That said, should Saryn get nerfed, the players would just move on to the next frame and this whole process would just get repeated again and again until all frames are nerfed.  Why, because there will always be some players that will be salty of another frame for whatever reason.

All frames nerfed/balanced across the board... is... the... ideal scenery tho...
