  1. Endgame was never the issue with Warframe. There are different levels of challenge all across the board.

Problem is, devs can't help but keep popping out uber unecessary way to scale player damage, nukes, etc...
In the game's current state, introducing a challenge mod with +150 lvl mobs will only escalate the power abuse and further increasing the difference between the frames because some of them are so #*!%ing powerfull still. ANY FURTHER CHALLENGE regardless of what you can achieve, WILL NOT HAVE A DIFFERENT RESULT. It'd only make the difference between Meta and non-meta all the more expressive.

Wanna know the ONLY solution? it's NERF. All across the board. Player damage. player Nuke range, mob armor/helath. Dare I say even player mobility needs to be reconsidered.

    Break everyoby's legs

And to STOP introducing ways to multiply damage into immesurable numbers. It's actually silly to think that damage scaling into ridiculous unpredictable values is allowed to happen.

Scattered through the dojo are a few details, even entire rooms that are meant to be found on foot, as opposite to having an overpopulation of teleporters to different spots within the same room. The above picture is one of them, a house hidden atop a waterfall.

    An Artificial enviroment.

There are 3 rooms total designed like this one, meant to look like catacombs or medieval.

With the exception of Reactors, almost no room is left undecorated, You'll find spots like this often, a straight hallways decorated as a mine or even a whole garden decorated as a pathway to another room.

There is a total of 4 ships in the dojo. ALL can be entered, they all have distinct cockpits that can be accessed as long as you crouch (height limitation). From inside each cockpit, move forward till you can't anymoe and use the 'sit' animation, the cabins are designed to fit a player sitting on the enclosed space.

The following ship is based on an old Snes game called Axelay (ship of same name). It must be accessed from the back. The way may appear blocked, but the decoration blocking is clip through, you can walk right past it as long as you crouch.

Tenno Star Fighter: Entry is located right beneath the cockpit, slightly behind it.

Never gave this little guy a name, the challenge here was to make a complex enough mech that would still be as compact as a Mech can get. A proof of concept if you may.

F-10O Raptor: Like the Tenno Star Fighter, the entry spot is beneath the cockpit, but much more hidden from view.

Named simply the "Komodo", the ship's overall silhouete unintentionally turned out like a Komodo lizard.
Entry is at ship's far back, you'll need to approach it from behind upclose to see it. It actually takes you to a cargo bay and a small living corner with seats and a bed, before a hatch that leads straight to the cockpit. It's actually quite spacious inside.

This one is my best work yet. I never name her because as an art piece, if it needs to be explained instead of figured, then is doesn't translate on its own.
Important notice: Make sure there is a pitch black object (rings on platforms and the local plants) within the corners of the player's view screen. That'll cause eye adaptation to kick in and brighten the whole figure.

There are actually many more builds in this dojo, including a Dragon esque female, an actual dragon, some more garden oriented rooms, a night clube, etc...

But I am however unable to get ingame as of recently (basically a combination of moisture, dust and a power shortage killed my Mother board and Grafics Card, I got a new Mother board since but I'm still left with onboard grafics card... may not get ingame soon...)

Important Edit: Friend told me the images were showing as broken links. It seens that some people are still seeing them, so I decided to upload a different set of pictures from a different host.

  2. My Primary of choice depended on how long I was going to stay on that T4 defense/survival/interception. Soma / Boltor / braton etc if you didnt plan to stay for more than 20 waves/minutes. Because they had high dps but you'd need a whole magazine to take down a corrupt gunner at wave 20. Bows or snipers if you planned to go beyond that, they were much slower but would still take a gunner at wave 20 in few shots. With the exception of Mesa which has allways been a broken frame, powers were more situational and to be trully honest, I already thought they were over the top back then.

Back then random squad at pubs were never meta, and people would refrain to bring a Mesa to Nuke your game because if there were noone with some kind of shield ability, that Mesa would die non stop. Yet getting into pubs was allways worth it because an extra player was allways an extra push to whatever mission type you were doing. Nowadays it's the complete opposite, Pugs are guaranteed to have at least one person willing to stomp the map.

Back then it made sense to design platforms with stairs and ramps to get to them, because otherwise, we couldn't reach them. Nowadays adding stairs on a new tileset is 101% an aesthetical detail.

I don't want to use strong words but... the further Warframe moves away from balance, the more radical grows my oppinion against melee/parkour changes and power fantasy.

  3. Eager for that possibility, very much so. Specially since "Scorn" seens to be going nowhere.

However there are already 3 big players on the line of new map subject. There is a Sentient Tileset, which is the inside of Sentient megaships. Planes (not plains) of Divisumthing (which is speculated to be connected to whereever Man in the Wall comes from) and a somewhat tileset-ish update for Maps you explore through the Empyrian (Railjack) update. I'm afraid (and happy) that DE already has their hands full, tho I think it's a guaranteed subject for next years.

  4. That would be an interesting addition and work plenty well enough for a good portion of the game. (the content not relying on Nukes or meta)

Thing is... Meta would still stomp those levels.

It would force the few players who do not rely on meta to have to do so.

With everybody relying on those bonus, upcoming features would have to escalate the ammount of resources, event drops and costs to achieve goals to 'balance' things out.

And once again I'd be back at square one feeling like I'm the only one who sees the truth... scaling difficulty aint gonna fix anything. Meta needs to have its legs broken. For good.

  5. :/

It's the most retro fight in Warframe, good old fashioned phase/stage battle. Like a Mega Man Boss battle, or something out of Soul Reaver for instance.

The red beams are shot form his palms. He/she fires at you subsequent shots whenever it recovers from each phase. If you want to speed run, that's on you, but if you give a few seconds, Roppy will stop firing the pint point beams after a sequence of ~6, wait too long before moving on and it will start firing them again. It's simply put, meant to be like that. it also makes a unique sound when Roppy is lockin on you.

The final beam that needs to hit the boss when it's stunned. Quite literaly needs to be triggered when he is performing the the stunned animation, it won't last long, in around 3 seconds he/she is ready to dodge again. It's not a bug, Roppy recovers fast, that's it.

If stop trying to speed run for a momment and just pay attention to what the boss is doing, you'll see the patterns clear enough.

Based on a ship from an old Snes Game, Axelay, ship has same name. It was afavorite of mine, both as sidescroller and ship designs, some of the pixel enemy ships are amazing. I still want to give a try at them, some day.

Axelay's back. This is actually not the first time I built a ship with interiors, notice that the part used for door/hatch is clip through, and can be walked by as long as you crouch.

    Axelay's cockpit.

This is achieved by a combination of pieces with collision boxes, that restrain the player to a small spot within the ship, and a set of clip-through decorations, which allows the player to get in some real proximity to them.

A figure simply dubbed as Dragon Lady. Quite literaly I couldn't decide whether to do a Dragon or a another female bot. However long ago I had removed a gigantic female figure I had sitting at another Observatory (currently turned into the Artificial Habitat one), it had a very similar pose too. I thought I was somewhat in debt with that figure, it wasn't my best build but it's shear size amazed some people. I like to think I brought it back in an updated visual.

  6. First time trying Exploiter after the latest patch.

Ran into a Progression stopper kind of bad.

During the second phase (open grounds) after the first cinematic the heat wheel vanished. I assumed it was just a visual bug and kept on taking the cans into the remaining fissures and then throwing them at the Exploiter, after clearing the last fissure, took some height with ITzal and started to take down the Coolant Raknoids.

Eventually I ran out of ammo and popped a ammo restore (never had to do this before in this fight), not longer after that I was sure of it, the Exploiter wasn't overheating at all. There was nothing left I could do. Aborted.

  7. While I did enjoy my time on the event I'd like to bring up that Vallis is by far the most RAM intensive landscape/activity in the game, due to that some players objectively avoid going over there at all. I've met people who said they can't load Vallis since it crashes their game. Now consider that to do the Data hashe hunt you HAVE to keep a browser loaded along with the game, possibly watching a video.

  8. Dark Split Sword

Combine it with Volt's Arrester helmet. Sharp Fins everywhere, it just looks so damn cool.

Scourge because I just like the idea of creating synergies between the guns even tho it's not even all that powerfull. (On top of hitting all mobs with the increased headshot chance you can slip neat procs like ice and corrosive, ice and radiation, Recently I've been using a lot of Pyranna Prime with it, so cool.

  9. It's not possible to make chalenging content without nerfing (BREAKING the legs) of players first.

Otherwise the devs will just come up with another Trial like set of missions that resume to meta.

Problems is, players will weep their body fluids dry the momment the devs take anything away from them.

It's PAST THE POINT where making thougher, more agile, more damage immune mobs can play any difference. Mobs with outstanding health/armor will be dealt with meta damage builds. Mobs with outstanding mechanics will be dealt with CC meta builds.

It's not possible to design chalenge that wont be broken by the meta without breaking the meta itself first.

equinox has sleep builds which is one of the strongest cc frames in the game. i don't play ember. frost with max efficiency. range, and duration can freeze and entire map forever. mesa is a tank that can damage boost an entire team. miasma, i have a build dedicated to wiping a map with it.

her two is a rag doll which makes enemies harder to hit... worst kind of cc in the game. her four is inconsistent with cc and garbo for damage. when i think of an ult that ccs a guaranteed. radius around me is better then what ever that is.

    1. could use a speed increase but maybe only apply it in open worlds? or give us an option to spend more energy to increase our speed. just so she isn't made redundant with arch wing or operators being in the game.

    2. let this ability suspend a target in air and have that effected by duration. (look at what rhinos ult does)

    3. this is fine.

    4. changing it maybe towards a defensive dome ability could work or, increasing speed, adding slash procs, have it search out targets.

And you missed the point entirely.

Those very same frames would still be manageable, but they would no longer be meta game breaking content, like their 'main spammed abilities' do, and some would eve under perform. But they would definitly leave permanently the 'meta tier' if you remove the abilities everybody picks them for.

It actually shows to prove how hardbent players are towards breaking the game. a CC that ragdolls lvl 80 mobs from firing at you isn't considered crowd control because it doesn't lock them in place untill something kills them.

I want to put some emphasis on this right here.

You don't think Zephyr is good, you think turbulence is good. Which it is.

    • The combination of all Zephyrs abilities make her mediocre at best and the scenarios in which you depicted identifies that she excels in staying alive...which is just turbulence.
    • You dealing a decent amount of damage has nothing to do with Zephyr.
    • Flying to revive your teammates is also disingenuous considering that tailwind is not granting you any benefit to reaching your teammates nor is giving you protection in reviving your teammates that your operator (spoiler) wouldnt provide.

But I'm glad we all keep coming to the forums to praise Zephyr. That way, she'll never get any changes.

Same can be said ebout every other frame in the game. What is Equinox without Mend & Maim, Ember without World on Fire, Frost without his shield, Mesa without Ult, Saryn without spores?

Zephyr would still be able to put up decent CC with her 2nd and 4th, more so than most frames if you remove their 'main abilities'. I know I've been using Volt proudly with only speed, shock and electric shields, then Pablo decided to remove discharge's damage cap. Now Volt is a Nuker, even tho his other abilities were untouched, and I feel shame for using the same frame of half the spammers.

Zephyr is on a nice spot. It's the spam frames who need to be put back into their places.

  12. Zephyr is not just a great frame, she can single handed deal with every mission type even the defenses ones. Her shields are special, they also defend you against enemy fire within the area of the shields.

However, like most frames of the game, she will do absolutely nothing if there is a Discharge Volt, a Mesa, Saryn, Equinox or Ember in the Squad.
