  1. So, I'm quite liking Railjack overall.

However, the cost to repair salvaged equipment is a bit obscene.

It's one thing to build a gun from scratch, it makes sense that it would require more resources. But why does repairing an existing weapon cost more than building a new one? It's a bit much.

I would absolutely cut the costs for repairing salvaged items in half.

  2. The coolant cells for sealing the thermal fractures in the event are outrageously glitchy. Sometimes my Warframe drops them for literally no reason. Sometimes the cannister empties itself for no reason, resetting progress on sealing four fractures. Sometimes the interior of the cannister vanishes altogether. A majority of the time when it bugs out like this, Vazarin void dashing is incapable of healing it to prevent its destruction.

I've also noticed that attempting to do more than one back to back in a single outing into the Orb Vallis seems to guarantee it will glitch out.

I've no problem with the event itself, but the fact that it's this buggy is making it incredibly frustrating to complete.

  3. Adding a bunch of true damage to things isn't going to make things better, all that will do is just make certain weapons/builds even more meta than they already are. The effects of each damage type isn't really the problem.

I don't think your adjustments to the elemental status effects are particularly good either. If I'm understanding your intention of your listed effects being in addition to their current effects, most of your ideas are both not that interesting and stupid overpowered. Why does Toxin need to deal a Toxin proc AND true damage? Why does Corrosive need to deal damage on top of it? Why are most of the added effects just "deal more damage"? There's all kinds of neat things that could be done with each of them, and just dealing more damage really isn't that interesting.

Nothing personal, but I really don't think any of your ideas are very good. Sorry.

Are you confused when a grineer bombard sees you closing in for the kill, and casually points off in the distance asking "Hey, what's that over there?"

No? Well maybe your enemies aren't quite giving you the challenge you're looking for. Look for my next post to discuss changes to enemy scaling, responsiveness, survivability, damage, spawn rate, variation, and more!

...Why are you advertising for your next forum post? Might just be me, but that's real weird.

No, you just need your whole squad to walk into Cetus, and walk back into the door.

The host does not need to select a bounty.

They fixed the problem where you would all be in a different instance, so now, it won't force you all into separate games of PoE as you're all qued in the same area.

Any time my group ever tried to do so without a bounty, we had this issue. Though that may have been resolved; I'll have to test it.

  5. It depends on how you want to use him. I don't personally focus as much on Power Strength; Parasitic Link and Ravenous benefit from it, and if you want Power Strength to buff those, then sure, go for it. But it really isn't necessary for Virulence, you'll one-shot anything outside of Sorties and Raids regardless if you have enough stacks.

I quite like Range myself, all his abilities benefit a lot from it moreso than Strength.

  6. Ivara by a landslide. She was made for stealth, Octavia really doesn't even have stealth abilities.

Ivara has two abilities to turn her invisible- Prowl, which can be made better for Corpus missions with the Infiltrate Augment, and Navigator + Cloak Arrow on yourself. Sleep Arrows with high range are ridiculously useful since it will shut down a huge area for a decent amount of time. Navigator can easily be used to take down cameras. She has a ridiculous amount of versatility to help her with most any situation for stealth missions.

    See above post.

Also no, the game industry has specific definitions for open environment instances as well as open worlds. You dont use one term for 2 different things when both things have terms to define them apart from one another.

Except I've no idea where your definition of "open world" is coming from, open world has always been used to describe exactly what you're arguing against.

Skyrim is an open environment, not an open world. It is an open environment that encases the whole exterior game world. Open world in this case is referring to people freely being able to join the area and be seen by other players. This is not the case with PoE as it is a 4 man instance system no different than existing missions or similarly dungeons in games that actually have open worlds. Skyrim has an open environment which people wrongly claim is an "open world" because there is no loading screens between map areas, only towns (unless you get the mod to fix that, that is), and caverns/dungeons. This is due to the amount of data required to load for all of those areas and all the AI packages running and all the script events triggering making it unfeasible to run in a 32 bit game. The 64 bit game probably has less problems with this and so likely runs such open city mods better.

You're literally just arguing semantics for basically no reason. You know exactly what people are talking about when they say "open world".

  9. I don't know why all the content from Lunaro to Recurring Dreams wasn't U19, and the real U19 wasn't U20.

Well anyway- I'm sure they're working on it, just staying mum on the details. Which I feel like they need to start being more quiet about the details, instead of overhyping like they always do.

  10. Well first off, Warframe really isn't an MMO. All MMOs are online multiplayers, but not all online multiplayers are MMOs.

Second, levels are randomly generated, so it'd be utterly pointless to add messages on glyphs. You can't exactly warn players of enemies, notify about resources, etc. because most of that spawns in different spots.

Third, Warframe isn't exactly a game that requires much thought. It's a pretty mindless game in comparison to Dark Souls, so not only would there be no point for a message system to even exist, nobody would even pay attention to them in the first place.

Lastly, I don't want to see a million glyphs littering the walls and floors when I'm playing.

  11. It's a polearm.

A polearm is, in essence, a staff with a blade, point, and/or hammer on the end. But that doesn't mean they're used the same way.

Which makes Tipedo a somewhat confusing weapon since design-wise it's more of a polearm than a staff, but regardless, they are two separate classifications of weapon, and it was always intended to be a polearm.

There's not much about him to get hyped up about. Unless you're in the mindset that he's going to change how you play Excal, then really the only thing hype worthy is his design, which most of the people who like him, myself included, will say is the ONLY reason to want him.

Exactly, which is why I find it odd that people are trying to hype Umbra again.

I hate operators. I wish they never were a thing. Second Dream at least gave me an option to disable operator transmissions and only see him for a second when I activate focus.

    ...Okay? Any reason?

I don't like Lua challenges. Before TWW, I had an option to get plat via multiple ways and buy drift mods. Now, I MUST do these rooms to even start TWW.

Uhh, there's several of those that are stupid easy. Power Test? Stand in front of some balls, give them some Energy. Bam. You're done. Stealth Test? You'll probably complete it by accident, this is basically handing out mods to players for free. Speed Test? It's basically the Orokin parkour courses. The other three are pretty annoying, sure, but it's not that big of a deal to get three of those when half of them are stupid easy.

I don't really like Chroma and I hate arenas and Kela. Guess what I MUST do to even start TWW?

Have you even checked the requirements for War Within? Because neither of those are. You don't need Chroma, you don't need to do arenas, you don't have to fight Kela De Thaym.

    1 hour ago, Nyaa314 said:

Did I mention that I hate operators? Well, to farm a brand new resource, I MUST use him to fight enemies IMMUNE TO CONVENTIONAL DAMAGE. While being shot at by bombards &co. In a game about space ninjas going fast.

Yes, you did already. We get it already.
And why is it even that big of a deal? Switch to Operator, dash through the guy, blow his weapon out of his hand. It takes five seconds or less. You aren't being forced to run Survivals with the Operator, so chill out.

    1 hour ago, Nyaa314 said:

And even if I ignored half of TWW content and don't farm kuva, you, DE, rebind my focus key for me. So on top of not functioning auto sprint I now get 'summon potato' when I try to use focus school the way I've been using it since Second Dream.

It's the difference between holding and pressing the button. This isn't exactly a new thing they started doing.

    1 hour ago, Nyaa314 said:

So, UX. Do you guys even run new content and gameplay past focus groups or something? Or just throw it at players that still play Warframe for some reason, and hope that more players will come after new content promises than will left because how badly designed it is?

Do you just assume that everyone hates everything as much as you do? Honestly, you sound like you're complaining just for the sake of complaining (like much of the forums do anyway), as you really haven't brought up much reasoning as to why everything "is so awful."

Not to mention that from your comment, you apparently already met all the requirements to do War Within anyway. Which makes your complaining even more confusing.

The new Kuva resource is incredibly RNG dependent, as it depends on getting a random mission objective added to your mission.  This is completely intuitive, as the encounter should be what is difficult and not actually being lucky enough for a mission to decide to spawn it.

This kind of grind is exactly what the game does not need and only acts as a detriment.  What you must do after it spawns is fine, its fun.  But getting it to spawn needs to be addressed.

    I think you mean counter-intuitive.

But yeah, DE hasn't quite learned that ridiculous grinds aren't good, seeing as Booben Prime still costs 7000 Oxium.

How can it be that you play for 2 years and still not completed the quests and the starchart?

Devil's advocate, I technically haven't completed the star chart either and I've played since it was released to open beta. All those nodes off to the side that nobody cares about.
