  1. Now that we have Brood Mothers that can spawn maggots and Boilers which can spawn pods I was thinking we could use a little more "horror" additions.

     

    In the infestation tile sets there are dead corpus crewmen all over the place. Can they be turned into maggot breeders? Like...maggots could basically be the lowest form of infestation and therefore could be all over the organic matter they come in contact with. So these dead corpus could spawn maggots randomly or suddenly convert into a standard spawn pod indicating that they have successfully been completely converted.

     

    I was thinking that Infestation Extermination would be better if you had to destroy whatever number of spawn pods instead. Cleansing out the infestation would be a little more interesting.

     

    I also want to see a day when a Tenno can see a Corpus body on the ground and go to loot it only to have it explode into a dozen maggots and a spawn pod. Keep people on their toes, ya know? ;)

  2. Re: Excalibur changes, specifically Radial Javelin. Can we please have all enemies hit by this effected as per the kill effect of bows/bolts? This would be epic. That might make it a bit more powerful by sending enemies flying into each other but ragdolling the snot out of everybody while pinning everybody to walls would be awesome. Enemies that survive would be pinned for a few seconds before struggling free again similar to a stun. That would be so awesome that it is a crime against humanity not to impliment this. Don't make me call up the UN! Haha.

  3. Some ideas to add functionality to the new missions screens:

    Some indicator saying if there is an open slot on any squad in the navigation screens.

    Quick keys to leave squad, change mission without going back to planet selection, etc. Navigating by keyboard is a lot easier than by mouse in almost all cases. If these options exist already, make them a little more obvious. ;)
    Bookmarks for favorite missions.

    Perhaps a drop down for all "hot" missions? (Invasions, infestation, active rail conflicts, alerts)

    Expand the method of picking active missions run by clan members to your alliance or ya know...all the things. Heh.

    I like the new user interface, it just needs to be expanded.

  4. These ideas are not specific to any one frame so...

     

    I have had a beef with how few slots we have for our warframes and I may have come up with a decent solution.

     

    Would it be possible to have the warframe abilities equip similar to weapons? I am not saying creating a whole new polarity or anything of the sort but would it be possible to have each ability have mods attached to it specifically so that space would open up for the frame itself? This would also allow for customization of abilities where you could use Fleeting Expertise on your #4 while keeping your #1 at normal duration/cost etc.

     

    Of course...this would make you need extra mods and the over all mod points would need to be factored in. I dunno. Just a thought.

  5. Name: Neutralizer MOA

    Behavior: The Neutralizer MOA is the Corpus response to Tenno and Grineer firepower. The Neutralizer uses the Fusion MOA chassis but contains an extremely powerful energy capacitor with projection packages to create barriers to enemies and their weaponry. These proxies have extremely intelligent AI that makes them very difficult to kill.

    The Neutralizer projects a force field that has the appearance of an Electric Shield from the external side and only a light blue shimmer from the interior side. This force field absorbs damage as the Neutralizer's own shields. It is in essence manipulating the volume and shape of its own personal shielding to defend its fellow Corpus. If an enemy moves past a barrier it is projecting it will immediately drop its barriers and flee to a safe distance before extending its shields again. It will never knowingly extend its shields beyond an enemy.

     

    Attacks: Due to the power of the energy capacitor, a Neutralizer becomes extremely unstable when its shields fail. When its shields reach 10% capacity it will become unstable and begin emitting an audible alarm. This alarm continues to sound until it is destroyed and other Corpus will move away from it immediately. This is because within 5 seconds after the Neutralizer becomes inoperable its capacitors will detonate.

    For practical purposes this explosion would be the same damage and radius as a barrel explosion, effecting friend and foe alike.

    Environment Restrictions: None.

    Note: Loki/Ash may sneak past the barriers and attack the chassis without shields. If it survives the initial attack it will immediately drop its shields and flee.

    I really think this idea would be way awesome if I could draw it up somehow. Anyone want to help me out? ;)

  6. What if instead of a single attack upon teleporting during blade storm there was radial damage? That way enemies can get hit multiple times and it really IS a storm of blades. Maybe he could do some more spinning animations while attacking and such to show off that he is teleporting, hitting multiple enemies, then teleporting, hitting more multiplies etc etc.

  7. Ash has seemed to have fallen by the wayside next to everybody else getting buffed and I feel like the devs haven't touched him a long time and he needs some rework. What we have now:

    #1 - Shuriken. Yay, throws some heavy hitting darts. Compare this to say...Mag who can clear entire groups of enemies with her #1. Kinda weak.

     

    #2 - Smoke Screen. This isn't half bad. Shortened duration Invisibility with added stagger.

     

    #3 - Teleport. Jump to the enemy with a stagger. Kinda blah but cheap and makes him mobile.

     

    #4 - Blade Storm. Well...it works good solo at least. It makes him invulnerable so you can regain your shields. Ah...decent damage. Only hits enemies that are targeted and the targeting is excruciatingly limited.

     

    How I would fix him:

     

    #1 - Shuriken. I like that Ash can throw this and not disrupt stealth, the problem is that it costs a ridiculous amount of energy for its effectiveness and there is a delay in how fast you can throw them. I would make the energy cost to 5, make it only throw one dart, reduce the damage and then remove the delay between throws. He could have a rapid fire #1 which would make him unique. Making them auto-target and ricochet but not seek would add an additional element to it as well.

     

    #2 - Smoke Screen. This doesn't need too much of a change. I would like to see the stagger effected by range and duration mods. Some vision obscurement wouldn't hurt. He's dropping a smoke bomb. Shouldn't there be...ya know...smoke?

     

    #3 - Teleport. This has to be the weakest #3 next to Super Jump. For 25 energy this should do more. How about he does a short, 1-hit Blade Storm on his target? Also...this staggers your allies if you are fighting alongside Corpus or Grineer. Bug? I would also like to see this usable without a target. Perhaps he could teleport to the targeted wall and hold on for a few seconds (effected by duration mods) and allow you to snipe from above etc?

     

    #4 - Blade Storm. I love this ability but really...it is so slow that by the time you start it, half the targets are already dead. So why not make it faster? This is supposed to be a Blade Storm, not a Blade Parade! Here is how I would do it:

    You target your Blade Storm target and at this point Ash teleports not just to that target but to several other targets at once, appearing in multiple places at once and attacking as he currently does but in parallel with multiple versions of himself. Also, he continues until he the power wears off based on duration or until the area is clear. The viewpoint of the player would not change and instead would be watching from a distance until Ash reappeared.

     

    That is my idea on how to make Ash useful again. The end. LOL

  8. OK. I don't know about for the rest of you but this gun seems to be flat out broken. Mechanics-wise I mean. Sometimes it will do damage to my health while my shields are still full. I don't think it is my sentinel restoring them. Sometimes it deals damage from a far distance away, sometimes I can be 5m away and it won't hurt me. This seems to be affected by whether or not I detonate them in the air or not. If I detonate them in the air I tend to be able to avoid damage from a further distance.

     

    What I would suggest is an icon around them, only for the user of the gun. Maybe a target that even says "right-click to detonate" or something. Make their location obvious. I have a feeling that some bounce back and I don't notice in the heat of combat. Maybe if they were even on the mini-map or something. These grenades kill me far more than the Ogris ever did.

     

    Otherwise this is a gun I was wanting for a long long time. It is awesome except for the whole killing-myself-all-the-time thing ;)

  9. I think you guys are missing the point with Rage etc. With that she feels like a Rhino that can't shoot. I want Valkyr to be her own frame. Right now she is a FailRhino mixed with a FailBanshee. She is a cross but not as good as either individually. :P Without her #4 up she goes down faster than Banshee in a fire fight. She doesn't have as good of stun/knockdown and her mobility is about equal to excalibur if a little hard to control. I want something to set her apart. I am really starting to think that she just needs a way to heal herself. Maybe her #4 could also grant a regeneration. Make her #2/3 more effective and she'd be perfect. Then you could use #4 when you are about to die in a firefight instead of hiding in a corner until you find some health. Heh.

  10. OK I know people have been pushing for a new faction and that is kind of hard to just throw in there so I was thinking that instead of having a whole new species or other kind of faction we could have riots. Grineer seem more subjugators than genociders so they probably have non-grineer slaves etc. Why not have a little rebellion? Also the same could go for Corpus. They have indoctrination temples and all but not all indoctrination is accepted and people can become disillusioned.

     

    So here is an opportunity to have a new civilian map tileset as well as a new enemy/NPC type. I don't think the Tenno are going to aid anyone in squashing rebellions but they might help the rebels. The rebels could be weakly armed and the enemy could be hesitant to use force because it would spread the discontent.

     

    Either that or you could have a rebellion and the Grineer/Corpus DO use violence and we could try to protect the rebels. The rebels could come in a multitude of races and therefore have a whole new group of enemy types although they wouldn't necessarily be enemies.

     

    If we have invasions why not have rebellions from within? I like the idea. Any thoughts/input?

  11. Paralysis is horrible. I like the idea of the 10 second timing and adding 10 seconds per kill. It needs a maximum duration though. Otherwise the first 5 minutes of survival will be a cakewalk.

     

    Bubster gave me a pretty good idea here. She is hysterically angry people! Let her throw some chairs or whatever the Tenno equivalent is! She should be tossing bodies around and attacking everything like an out of control beast! So no charge attack. Instead make her attacks randomly fling dead bodies around the room. That would be epic. Maybe her attack method needs to be completely new. Instead of swinging around a weapon she could just grab the enemies and deal damage and throw them where ever. So here is some ideas:

     

    Charge Attack: grabs nearest foe and swings them in a circle, striking all other opponents with its body. Probably shouldn't be able to use that with Phorid.

    Slide Attack/Wall attack: Swan dive tackle Wrestlemania style

    Downed Attack: The current one is good. I like the current one. It is brutal.

     

    I really want to see her sending bodies flying now. This needs to happen.

  12. It is my opinion, now that I am almost level 30 with her, that Valkyr is not as bad as everybody makes her out to be. There is just a couple small problems.

     

    1) She has no innate way to heal.

     

    2) #4 has abysmal range issues. I often find myself attacking enemies shooting but backing up at the same time and I have to repeatedly run up to them and try to land a blow only for them to be out of range before I attack again. Either double her range or make it affect the nearest opponent in a 360 degree radius so I don't miss 90% of the time.

     

    3) She needs even more armor or vitality. I know you don't want to boost shields because she is not supposed to be that kind of frame but she should be able to survive more than a few seconds in a fist fight without her #4.

     

    Suggested Fixes:

     

    1) Make Warcry (#2) cause regeneration or healing in some way. What would work best IMO is to make it so every melee attack landed gives the player/ally 3 points of health returned.

     

    2) Make Paralysis(#3) actually paralyze. I don't care if you make it take 75% of shields and cost 50 energy instead. Just add a SHORT paralysis to the effect. Something similar to Excal's Radial Blind but only a couple seconds. Nothing too big. She is losing her shields here and is squishy enough. She needs to be able to run away without being shot to pieces after this if necessary. ;)

     

    3) Make her claws about double the range, make her #4 zoom out slightly and tone down the color effects. Also make her flash when it is about to drop so she can run for cover.

  13. OK. I for one welcome the new direction this is going. Invasions are great and all but could there be a better way of doing it?

    Many people have expressed the lack of survival and defense missions against infested now and it seems that they are still possible...at least when you are fighting alongside the Grineer. Corpus, not so much that I've seen. Corpus invasions seem to be all the same. So what I am thinking is that with invasions there could be the original mission goals with an invasion twist.

     

    Assassination - Perhaps the normal boss could fight along side the Tenno in this battle. He could show up with the normal NPC spawns and respawn as they do. He could even die in the process and offer a chance at two boss drops in one mission. I think this would be awesome.

     

    Capture/Deception/Rescue/Sabotage/Spy - These missions are awful specific. Would it be possible to have it where the Tenno are fighting both factions at once while they fight each other as well?

     

    Defense - The Grineer/Corpus could declare a particular site important enough to warrant defending specifically. This would open up the opportunity for new defense maps such as an important reactor site or the Grineer drill (why do Tenno defend a giant drilling apparatus exactly? This map never quite sat right with me anyway) Alternatively ANY map room could be declared the defense room with one of the Spy mission consoles being the defended target. The possibilities!

     

    Exterminate - This would be identical to the normal invasion missions except have normal tile sets.

     

    Mobile Defense - A boss could be trapped somewhere with infested attacking him/her and their personal guard. We could hop in to escort them to the evacuation zone. Er...wait this sounds like the rumored Escort missions. Maybe.

     

    Survival - Not sure how this would be spun. I love Infested survival but they don't have control of the ship/area during an invasion so I have no clue.

     

    Now also when an invasion is Grineer vs. Corpus I suppose this kind of formula would work too but it would need to be tweaked. One thing is for sure though: Defense and Survival would need to allow combat pay per 5 minutes/5 waves. I don't know if that is how it is currently but seeing as people were bailing every 5 waves on defense I would assume so.

     

    I like the new binary divide with Grineer vs. Corpus but I think it should be more dynamic even than this. Why not have every map node have a % and give players the opportunity to try to change the node in either direction with the % determining various random events such as a sudden push from one side. The figures could all be added up with certain nodes worth more etc and then have a live slider in the main warframe lobby showing the divide between factions. We are supposed to maintain the balance. Here is an opportunity for it to mean something. If it gets too off center one side could get ballsy and start more invasions etc. The devs could mess with us etc. ;)

  14. I cannot wait! Expect an insane amount of feedback from me Devs. I am a 20 year vet of tabletop RPGs and have used pretty much every combat system out there. I love that this is starting to look Cyberpunk 2020-ish! I am so excited I could burst! This is the type of thing I enjoy most out of games in beta. This overhaul...I don't think many lay-players are going to fully realize how radically changed things will be until it actually hits.

  15. I am an avid Banshee lover. She was my first love and will always have a sweet spot in my heart. That being said, she has fallen due to power creep. Particular the buff/debuff abilities like Roar and M.Prime tend to outshine Sonar. I don't believe Sonar is useless however. It has a much better multiplier etc. It may need a buff. Maybe tie the multiplier to power strength boosts?

    Silence needs to be done away with however. What I would suggest is that Silence be replaced with a cone effect similar to Pull but that ragdolls away like an extra powerful Sonic Boom. I am not saying we should make it 25 power. I am saying we should make it do more damage, maybe twice that of Sonic Boom and then a minor ragdoll. I don't ask for much, no enemies flying off into the abyss or anything.

  16. I have seen her drop off drastically in the past couple weeks actually. Nova is effective but I am not seeing multiple novas anymore. That was getting ridiculous. Her molecular prime is OP though, why does it not have a timer? I mean really.
