That the Spartans are, in fact, sitting some where else controlling the armor. And i think that is possible for Halo 1-3, correct? Cause during those games we are never shown the inside of the Mjolnir.

This thread needs to be closed. I honestly thought Mak you were just really stubborn, but now I know you're just a troll.

Mak if you actually believe that in all 3 Halo games we were power armors not actual human Spartans, then you're as delusional as they come.

The Halo equivalent is randomly saying that Mjolnir doesnt actually have Spartans inside.

I don't think you actually read my comment, otherwise you wouldn't have said this. Because this is what I was talking about. You are reinforcing my point.

Corpus were most likely lower class citizens in the Orokin empire but there is something that seperate them from the Orokins. The Corpus use sentient machines, something which was a grave sin in the eyes of the Orokin.

Judging from the codex fragments, Corpus try their best to prevent machines from being sentient.

In my opinion that's stretching it a bit... We don't know about the timetable of the war itself or how Tenno themselves fit into it. Parts of the lore that I see make me believe that Tenno as a sort of "culture" have been around for a very, very long time before the Great War ended, same for the Infested. Either it means that the entire war happened over the course of a century or more or that Tenno have been Orokin's pet attack dogs, dealing with the massive f-up that would become the infestation among other thing long before the war even begun. Both options are up for debate and refinement. But they make sense.

As for the infestation, What I think is that during the Orokin purge, most of the infestation had already been taken care of, with pockets lost in space on derelicts. A handful of Tenno didn't go into Stasis, some did stay behind to fight for one cause or another. The Ancient Synthesis simply states that "someone" stayed behind, very likely it was Inaros as Synthesis entry takes places on Mars, where Inaros was entombed, actually creates a sort of chronological sense if you think the Story of Inaros saving Baro's settlement (and dying) only after cleaning up the rest of the planet. Hell, it could even of been someone who later became the Stalker as his codex clearly states that he has been traveling the Origin system ever since the collapse, and he was an Orokin Low Guardian, he probably wore white and gold at that point. But that implies that the Codex entry can be trusted to be 100% true and not skewed by his questionable sanity.

For me, I don't think the "Tenno Culture" actually ever existed. I believe that in our dreamlike state, the Orokin manipulated our dreams to believe that we created a culture, to distract us from the fact that we were abused children killing for their sake. It's easier to get a child to do something if he thinks he's actually doing it, then to try force them (even more so when said child has uncontrollable powers). I think after Margulis was killed, we were put into the pods, forced into the Second Dream, and through the dream, we were lead to believe we had always been godlike warriors with a rich heritage.

This is all my own personal head canon though, so until we know more about the Old War, the timeline will always be up in the air.

Could we discuss, civilly, about how the lore is caving into itself constantly? How DE should think a bit about the codex and events past before updating the game in the future. And how there should be some in-game references for the gaps between events that are inaccessible for new players(or players that joined a couple of months even after an event).

The most resent gap in lore is that current fissures create corrupted yet, Orokin tower neural sentries are what create them in the first place. (Btw can we have a new enemy in the void on how the sentry even captured and transformed the first corrupted)

Then there is the over elongated Alad V story we have that has no clear-cut explanation for it unless you have the power of the wiki(the codex still has next to nothing on this).

Eh, I wouldn't say caving into itself because not enough lore has been established to actually say that. We still don't know a whole lot about the universe we live in, and what we do know, we know only in fragments.

Currently for the neural sentries, the fissures seem to connect the towers to planets through the Void, my personal thought is that this tricks the sentry into believing that the surrounding enemies are inside its tower, thus activating its defensive corruption ability. As for the corrupted enemies it spawns, we know grineer and corpus regularly invade and try take over Orokin towers, only to be corrupted. This implies that the tower we use to open our relics has been attacked by corpus/grineer, and already has a standing army of corrupted soldiers to deploy at its whim.

I agree Alad's story is strange unless you've been in the events. But it's not caving in on itself, it's just not properly explained. That's remedied by turning the events into quests for new players to play through.

  5. I'd imagine damage 3.0 should change the power creep, or at least curb it, that's the hope anyway.

As for nullies, I wouldn't mind if combas and scrambas were upgraded to have the nullies big obvious field (but you can shoot through it) so we could both hear and see them coming, and if these newly updated comba/scrambas replaced nullies completely.

So does the Lotus. We're mere puppets. See how our Warframes move on their own at the end of the Second Dream? How our power systems get reactivated by the Lotus? That's a primary source information that we do not have a choice but to serve this "mother". And remember how the Lotus can activate, hack and process large amounts of data from vast distances and sources at once?  Alad, on the other hand, can only control a single Warframe at a time. Should Alad go rogue again for the third time, the Lotus definitely has enough determination and power to shut him down, given that his status can directly threaten her position. Controlling Warframes is hardly a big deal considering how weak they are when met by the likes of Zanuka and Stalker. Without abilities, Warframes are no threat to the regular crewman. Sentients are the real threat towards the entire solar system here.

Warframes aren't weak, the reason Zanuka and Stalker are so strong is because they possess Warframe components. Without using abilities we are still capable of slicing and dicing through hundreds of enemies simply because of our sheer shield strength and speed. We're also incredibly strong physically as we can wield weapons easily that only augmented grineer can use. We're organic iron man suits for all intents and purposes. Furthermore, unlike iron man suits, we can be reproduced en masse enough to repel an invasion of Sentients.

Considering how easily Alad seemed to have been able to control infested Mesa with his own research, giving him access to our research and BPs of Warframes would only make him more powerful, to the point of making him as powerful as the Lotus. He could easily become a threat to us and the Lotus with his own private army of Warframes. Why take such a gamble with such a dangerous person? Alad has shown repeatedly that he cares only for himself. He won't stay loyal to us out of the goodness of his heart, I doubt he has one to give anyway. He's a poster boy of all the bad things that represent the Corpus, so much so that the Corpus themselves ousted him because he became so power hungry.

Making a deal with the Grineer would be better than making a deal with Alad, if only that some of the grineer actually have honor and follow it (Sargus and Lech Kril are good examples). Alad wouldn't hesitate to backstab us if it meant giving him more power.

I'm pretty sure most veterans have billions of credits. Moreover, what he values is technology. Warframe tech would be enough of a selling point for him to join our side.

Implying that we'd be dumb enough to give Alad the secrets of the Warframe.

Do you really think that giving him what he wants will end well for us? He's already proven that he can control Warframes with the infested mutalist strain. Giving him access to even more Warframe tech would be disastrous for us as well as the majority of the solar system. He's not a nice person, he's motivated by greed and lust for power.

He's also not stupid, so we can't really "tempt" him with promises of tech unless he knows he can actually get it.

  8. Well that raises the question, did the Orokin actually die during the end of the Old War? Or did they simply go into hiding? On second thought, if the Tenno couldn't kill them the first time, then I don't see why they would go into hiding, because they clearly all don't care about being stabbed publicly. So I do think there is a good chance that Ballas bit the bullet. He was most definitely one of the big men in the Orokin leader structure, so I'd imagine the Tenno made a beeline for him. Probably blamed him for not even trying to save Margulis.

Interesting thought about Ballas and Margulis' relationship, in the Vauban Prime trailer, Ballas supposedly talks how "lust" was his sin, does that mean he never really loved Margulis? Or at least not enough to use everything in his power to save Margulis from the executioner platform? If so, then I hope we hung Ballas by his balls when we ended him.

    uh.. hello? hayden tenno?

    http://oi58.tinypic.com/2z4l74n.jpg <-- this magnificent badass?

and no, i dont care, hes canon to the lore of warframe

Yes and no. Tenno are named after Zimerman Ten-Zero. Hence Ten Oh, Tenno. I would compare Dark Sectors relationship with Warframe akin to Demon Souls and Dark Souls. A spiritual successor that will often call back to it's predecessor, but does not have any real affect on it.
