  1. I feel you overgrasp the scope of how little this changes from a resource perspective barring the obviously jarring outliers. Building most frames is effectively free, even primes. There is a fraction of parts that use something considered 'rare' or 'you have to grind for' that would be influenced by this. 99% of the resources in this game have no value, and I don't mean plat wise: even casual players have hundreds of thousands of say, Nano spores.

DE loves to throw wrenches into the Platconomy. Rivens are a disaster and invalidate most of your argument by themselves, considering they meet very similar qualifications as a whole, but are VERY pay to win for someone who wants to throw 500 plat to the guy who spends a literal month grinding the kuva to reroll his bramma riven to peak selling value. Scarlet Spear shattered the Arcane Market and it's still bouncing back from that. Compared to those, making crafted Neuroptics, Chassis, and Systems tradeable would be hardly a tsunami to disrupt the balance, barring the specific outliers that people generally don't want to touch anyway because they are said outliers.

I do remember key days, and I remember while you could get a ton of items from one Def/Surv key if you could survive the run, that also turned around to make those items relatively worthless as supply far exceeded demand from the sibling parts you had to get from capture/sabo/exterm, once trading was added. Relics opened up a great way for endless missions to not blow their end of the market, while also letting people play the missions they wanted for the rewards they wanted. IIRC, trading was only just budding back then, so there was no 'economy' really.

I'll admit, I don't even know what 'closed looped entropic' whatever (yes I could copy paste what you said but part of the point is that's some intense jargon-garble) really is or means, but it says entropy, and in my semi shallow understanding, entropy is bad. Entropy develops from stagnation and decay, which are things caused by people refusing to let resources move. I'll admit to exaggerating when I said there'd be 'no' affect to the market, what I was intending was 'nothing bad' as many of the 'bads' of the market are very self correcting. Someone says they want to sell an ignis wraith BP for plat and they get shunned and their reputation as a merchant discredited quite quickly, and this wouldn't be any different. People who tried to sell a Volt Prime Neuroptic Pre Built for 100 more than a 'standard' BP price would get roasted, as all the materials are super common and that's quadrupel the rush value. At most the stingiest people could uptick by 30 (25 rush fee with a 5 plat resource courtesy), when most would probably barely do it by 5 cause it was just, something to do while looking for a buyer.

Some of warframes greatest criticisms are it's time gating and raw resource farming, so why is there so much resistance to an idea that indirectly lowers both? They're still present in the process, they'd just be regulated to someone who has the time to take care of it, instead of trying to thrust it on someone who doesn't have that privilege for one reason or another. The only real argument you've presented has been 'it's always been this way', which, just because somethings old doesn't make it good.

I think I'm going to leave that there though, and just go pester a GM to fix my non-mistake

If you don't have the 20 Nitain necessary to build Vauban Prime, then you should not be able to pay plat to bypass that unless the Nitain is available in the Market. Which it isn't. You have to farm it from Nightwave or Spy vaults.

Except you totally should because the individual you're buying it from by that point dedicated the resources for you and it's being factored into the price from the seller.  If DE wanted to force people to grind resources for everything then you wouldn't be able to buy rolled rivens, or even unveiled ones.Buying prime frame parts isn't even pay 2 win because Prime Frames aren't much better than their normal counterparts. Better yes, but not a scale that completely changes what content the frame is good in, it's mostly just an interplayer tradeable MR boost that for some reason punishes people for courteous and that's all sorts of asinine.

Would it change the market? I don't even think so cause I don't think people even know the built parts aren't tradeable, they just don't see a need a lot of the time, but it'd add another dynamic for those with more than they know what to do with to help out others, and would actually sink a lot of bulk fodder mats that many are just drowning in so that they may actually get some value, instead of being utterly dead weight because we're punished for being nice.

That would also eliminate the need for people who have the plat to grind at all. For a frame like Vauban, that would pretty much equal being able to trade Nitain for platinum and what not. I think it's fairly done right now and built components becoming tradeable would mostly benefit people who don't want to grind at all.

It'd be no different than how people can drop plat on accelerating the build instantly, and would closer match that normal frames can just be bought at no resource/quest req from the main market as is, and most prime parts require minimal to no grind for any sort of semi dedicated player barring certain frames having exorbitant thematic costs (Tri's Cryo, Zephyr's Oxium) which, if someone wanted to grind that out, pre build it, and charge an extra 100 for it I'd say balances itself out nicely considering a big part of the reason for plat to exist is for people who spend more of their time making money, to have a way to keep up with people who spend more of their time playing.

'Don't want to grind at all' is a big portion of what plat is meant to be used for, 'skipping grind' and 'oooh pretty', so why would we be denying it from a function that serves both? It's not like prime frames can be vaunted as a sign of prestige (like say, the John Prodman Poster) cause anyone can get them as is with minimal effort or 5 bucks. So why should someone who wanted to take as much effort out as possible for the person with said 5 bucks get punished for it?

  4. Subject says it all, but people with the courtesy to build the component BPs they're sitting on cause they're drowning in resources should be able to trade said component parts instead of being punished for being nice guys.

Also syndicates changing what items they demand means something someone could of sold but built for syndicate that they didn't quite max out in time is now dead weight barring letting themselves get ripped off for inferior amounts of ducats.

  5. You can have 'big and open' without it being an overly precise mess. Murex Tileset is a GOOD use of size and effective usage of movement being rewarded, there's some pits but you can relatively easily go around most of them, or bullet jump up to the clearly marked 'bullet jump here' shields, or shoot the rocks to make navigable platforms. Kuva Fort is a mostly super compact network of tunnels and has very few abysses, unless it's open edge tile that's then moslty a cliff side that you navigate on, not over. Jupiter? Wide open pits with little to no means of crossing them besides Lights that, you can apparently stand on like they're ziplines? That's never been indicated before, isn't obvious when you do try to think of it, and are super tiny and far apart that you have to get some decently specific angles on.

I, respect the Jupiter Tile for what it is, but the new stuff needs content gated by Ropalyst or something, because it is not scaled appropriately for it's position on the starchart. Heaven forbid we think about new players, but Jupiter 2.0 is 5 tiers of spoilers and difficulty that has no business being Pre-Eris, let alone Pre-Saturn. It has the most asinine Spy vaults (and yes I'm including Lua), and the absolutely hardest required parkour, let alone any parkour, in the game. Heck, it has required parkour that's harder than any other parkour in existence otherwise.

That doesn't mean it's bad, outright, but it's completely inappropriate for where it is on the map, and that's why I don't like Jup 2.0. That and the gas pads are invisible even when active.

  6. Good answer, I'm glad you actually answered the question.

That being said, Cephalite is super plentiful even from casual play, it only takes 10 per attempt and just doing sorties and my Ventkids daily standing I'm sitting on 30+ spare already while working an 8 hour shift job still, and while it does suck to have to pick yourself up and dust off, sometimes that's just what you gotta do. I was honestly amazed I had as much movement control as we did because we had jsut gone from FPS investigator mode to mostly normal warframe mode. I think the controls the platforming segment uses is the Fortuna/Cetus/Relay controls? That would line up with the environment and speeds.

DE does have a bad rep with grind stretching, but this grind is super short. (for now. I'm sure the 5th quiz is gonna require 1k traces or something stupid, but at that point you're going to know more or less what to expect going in even factoring in 'increased difficulty', and playing along the way is gonna give you plenty of spares to find out). The Time gating seems mostly implemented to remove RNG: Cephalites spawn at set times, so instead of praying for 20% a mission spawn chances, you're just guaranteed some every once in awhile provided you're playing the game.

So, yeah, so sad you failed the easy jump once because you weren't ready. Atleast you can have an instant-hour long turn around phase compared to the days when we had to do Mastery tests with no practice option. Man I hope you never have to grind Ambulas or Kela and have bad pubs lose your Nav Beacons, cause THAT'S actually a grind when you fail.

have you tried farming the resource cache ones in Eris? Good lord I'd rather wait for Baro. And that's not really particularly as prohibitive as you are making it out to be.

At the very least they should be put somewhere harder to obtain than your suggestion, considering getting the rest of them. (Yes I know Corrupted Vor is easy to fight so I guess the toxin ones can't be counted in that.)

It's how I got my SHotgun/Rifle elecs, it was a few runs but nothing, too bad. It was like, a week of using them as my 'filler' mission?

A I realize is too, I thought one was on B and one was on C for Shotgun and Rifle but they're both B. So they could be in B, or theres enough 'filler' in C that could be rotated out to just have all for in Hive C.

I want them in Spy missions!

Only because I've decided I like Spy missions and want them to have more purpose.

Spy already has the suite of Ice and Fire, and Ivara, and the Parazon Hack mods, so there's definitely plenty there. (though sometihng reusable like an Ayatan treasure drop or something could be neat.) That's why I suggested keeping it somewhere 'close to home' with their same element siblings.

  8. Hey Team!

I was talking builds with some newer buddies and the 60/60 mods came up, and while reviewing where to get them and what, it turns out Jolt and Voltaic strike still don't exist on the starchart! all 14 of the other standard 60/60 mods are floating around out there, between Spies, Hive Caches, or HE, VOR, WHO WILL LEAD THE TENNO, but these 2 seem to have just missed the mark? Can we get these added to Hive A rotation or something so people can actually, grab these mods?

  9. I like dropping decoy turrets and health towers on defense/survival type missions, they're not great, but imo they're MORE useful than Liset, cause they give me more ability to BE good instead of negating me being bad. (Really, if I mess up a spy or rescue, I've got other problems, IE bruteforcing with the wrong kit as is, bad pubs, etc.) The carpet bomb is pretty garbage though and it sounds like the Nightwave has a pretty similar support, it just CC's what survives for a bit.

Now it'd be nice if the Health tower was a little more passive (like a universal Wisp Vitality mote), and if the Sentry and Carpet Bomb scaled with enemy level like Specters/Vauban do. Liset I think is fine, even if it's role is niche, that niche does serve a purpose, particularly to those still developing their tool kits and skills. Liset Air Support is super nice to have as a backup while your building your Ivara, or for Spy Sorties.

  10. ... Well, ignoring the power creep discussion, I do think a number of the mods could be MADE INTO Exilus just fine, not all of them though.

EX: Harrow's Tribunal is really freaking strong, and while harrow is by far the most ability modifying dependant frame in the game (Natural Talent and 200% Duration minimum if you don't want to fall into a negative feedback loop of casting abilities without shooting things when you need to shoot things for your abilities to actually do anything) I would say Tribunal is way too potent to be made an exilus. (why it isn't inheret to his kit so Harrow doesn't need to be super greedy to be super generous I'll never understand.)

Octavia's 'tell Resonator to go here' though, is very much a utility tool that could be strong in very niche situations but also doesn't very directly add power to the ability. (So why isn't it inheret to Resonator?) So it could very easily fit into Exilus, kinda like how Waltz doesn't really add any power unless you use it very effectively. (Peacemaker is already so powerful though I'd say Waltz is fine to have as an exilus mod.)

  11. I think Titania's side 'dodge' is bugged, cause it doesn't have the same speed as other dodges, like remotely. I don't mind the shorter dodge for Wisp overall cause they dodge -faster-, less time moving and more time shooting, even if they cover less distance. I don't usually dodge for distance, I dodge to... well, dodge. Or shake off Infested spores. MOstly spores. 95% of none bullet based dodging is spores or just panic spamming to lower enemy accuracy while waiting for shields.

Damn, how'd you get that many NW spawns? I played for a few hours yesterday and I only had the corrupted glass enemies spawn three times, and I only got 4 cephalite from all of them combined.

This. I, TOO, am curious how you got so many to spawn.

?????? I just did, normal stuff. They spawn in like, sets of 5 once a mission. I had 2 sets spawn during Sortie, 2 spawn during Syndicate missions, and a set spawn while I was K-drive leveling on the Valis at the Pearl. They seem to have a minimum timer to spawn, kinda like Assassins do, but every Mobidef I ran had them.

  13. After seeing people call this a gear check I decided to go full try hard and see just how feasible this was with the worst possible circumstances:

    20200512205930_1.jpg

    20200512205934_1.jpg

Unmodded Atlas (the slowest frame in the game)

Unmodded Mk1 Braton. (I'm not sure if it's the 'worst' gun but it's probably the worst unmodded gun.)

    Results: 20200512210155_1.jpg

4 seconds to spare and I didn't even throw a punch (0 Abilities used). This was on the first capture node on the star chart. Can't really say this is gear gated when it's very possible with gear that's actively detrimental to the objective. (though I didn't consider hobbled, hobbled mostly affects your sprint speed when most of your movement is bullet jumping.)

  14. I was curious how bad the 'platforming' was and it's like, a basic jump/doublejump. It's not really platforming. If you've gotten past jupiter then you have nothing to worry about besides over complicating it yourself. The platforms are just how you make your 'choices' in a multiple choice quiz regarding the victim's history.

That being said, sucks to lose an oppurtunity due to hardware fidangliness. :/ at least the traces are numerous at 5 per nearly every mission (or so)

  15. This is a nice mod for sustained fire on beefier targets, but the thing with Warframe is, like, the Latron is not going to be outdpsing anything or out ammo economying anything even with consistent stack management. x.x

That being said, this Viper mod is hilarious to just shove in somethings face and letter rip. A little trigger discipline and a dakka gun has infinite ammo? yes plz.

  16. Title says it all, wasn't sure which 'sub' forum this would belong in so putting at the surface, but uh, as my Rank 28 mastery test just taught me: You don't throw thermia if your melee weapon is out currently.

Now to wait 24 hours cause bugframe. :) Not the worst thing but I'm slightly on tilt.
