  1. Those are still fairly high numbers I think, but then again I am not an expert.

I initially thought that Collider would be better off with simply tapping 3 resulting in two closest targets being pulled, without need for a second tap, however the way you described it allows for singling out high priority targets, so in the end it might be better the way it is :)

  2. I do like the idea of twin warframes a lot as well as the atom/fusion theme.

While I find Union's looks hard to imagine, the picture you provided for Fissure (Fission?) is informative enough.

I can see some problems with suggested abilities, for example time of Siphon and Reactor is way too long, while Union's Collider seems rather clunky to use.

You've clearly given it a lot of thought.

    Thumbs up from me :)

  3. Thank you, DE.

Throghout my husband's and my adventure with gaming and online gaming, we encountered only a handful of teams so dedicated to their game and so considerate when it comes to the community. Warframe has a large multinational community and yet you have not lost touch with the people that spend considerable portion of their lives enjoying your work.

Keept it up, you have my sincere respect.

  4. I do not know if it truly is a bug, but I have found no infromation that drover bursas should be able to turn tennos' powers against them.

Just did a sortie and last wave of defence left me with two drover bursas. Whenever I used Well of Life on one to keep it ccd, it would heal instead. Is it intended?

  5. The problem with Saryn is that her abilities encourage more of a tactical play, setting traps and such, which is fantastic, just not very compatibile with run-and-gun gameplay which is the majority of Warframe right now. It could work beautifully in defenses and such but before Molt + Spores (for instance) reach their potential, someome with tonkor will have already killed the mobs by then.

  6. Not quite sure what answer you expect.

It is only up to you how much you want that mod and since you don't wish to trade then this is the best chance you will get for a long time. The electric mods you have a chance to get at the end of each mission will eventually sell for decent platinum, so there is that to consider.

Also, there is no guarantee you will get one mod in 27h, you might as well spend 60 and get none or get one after 10 more minutes.

  7. As much as I love sybaris, I believe the OP was asking about melee.

I am in love with orthos since the moment I aquired it. It's a monster of a weapon but I simply love the asethetics and animations.

Silva and Aegis need love to be turned into something worthwhile, since the very concept of sword and shield is close to my heart. I am still waiting for it. As well as for release of spear/javelin kind of weapons :)

  8. It has been said and I share the oppinion that there should be certain steps a player has to go through and basic weapons like MK-1s should not cut it for high level missions. However, I do belive that some weapons need rework and/or prime (or equvalent of prime) version released to make more weapon types viable. There are few weapons that are being used constantly: tonkor, simulor, soma, etc but you don't often find people running around with sybaris, tiberon or karak. Partly it is the fact that aoe/rapid fire weapons simply deal better with horde situations, but equal if not bigger part is players' mentality: raid parties or high level survivals/defence parties constantly demand certain setup of frames and weapons not welcoming anyone with different playstyle.

Also, more missions where bringing a sniper rifle or a bow is more sensible than bringing an aoe weapon would be welcome.

TL:DR - Yes to making more weapon types viable while leaving certain levelling weapons as means to get to the top tier ones.

  9. Just did a run of excavation to level up a frame. Started at unranked, got it to rank 7 during the match, got a dozen excavation rewards. Time of extraction came and while three of us were there, the countdown ticking, the host suddenly left/lost connection. While host migration was still in progress the countdown ended resulting in mission sucessful announcement, the characteristic music theme and so on. Just that upon loading back on my liset I was back to unranked with my frame with nothing to show for several minutes of playing but mere 26 mission credits.

It is not the first time that host migration caused my friends or me to loose mission progress and it's surely something that players have experienced over and over. It's surely also not the first time players complained and posted about this so let me add that one more brick to the wall of endless host migration complaints.

And yet, after Nikana came out, I ran one T3 capture, one T3 exterminate, and ran a 20-minute T2 survival and got each of the corresponding pieces, so.

It's bad luck. Trust me, I know... way back when Rhino Prime came out, I got the chassis on day one. I figured it was easy enough to get and sold it, then proceeded to not get another until I finally bought one 8 months later after countless T3 survivals.

I did the same with Saryn chassis the day it got out. Went in, got the chassis after 60mins and sold it straight away when hype was so very high.

Haven't gotten a single one since, after several hours total of survivals. It's really bad luck, mate. I sincerely doubt the RNG is rigged, especially not towards certain players, that theory is simply absurd.

  11. You're forgetting that there are other players as well, you know, the casual ones or ones simply not as good at shooters as others, be it due to lesser reflexes or lack of interest in min-maxing and players using weapons and frames that are fun for them, rather than op weapons.

Making enemies more of a bullet sponges will only result in inferior weapons becoming more inferior and won't solve anything. Thankfully the devs recognised that and are already asking about oppinions on upgrading the gameplay.

I believe the solution you're looking for is more endgame content: raids and such. Lephantis used to be a challenge back in the day, now it can be easily solo's or two-manned. As the game progresses, new challenges should be available, but not in form of tougher enemies, but fights being challenging due to tactics or coordination required, maybe new kind of enemies, requiring more marksmanship rather than a Mirage running into the room with a simulor.

The true problem is, in my oppinion, players always demanding bringing X frame to Y mission type so you end up with certain setups and Void forbid anyone daring to bring a different frame. Who needs Oberon, right? Or Nezha? Oh no, someone plays a non-desacrate Nekros! Oh and you brought a Rhino to spy mission, you idiot! :o

  12. Although I believe that at the end of Second Dream, when a warframe pulls the sword out it is still some remains of operator's control, there are proofs within the lore that warframes are somehow, hmm, "alive". One such proof is Rhino's backstory.

Argument about advanced technology is interesting. Would it be some kind of AI?

There is a line Jordas Golem says that drew my husband's and my attention: "It senses you are of like flesh, it is confused." It can only be a taunt like "Useless, hollow shells" which he also uses or there might be more to it. It is not impossible for Orokin to experiment with infestation and warframes. I mean Rhino was feeding on the flesh in the backstory, which indicates both it having a mouth and need to do such a thing ot at least some instinct. It is only when it comes in proximity to room where children of Zarimann are held that it calms down.

Which leads to another theory: were children of Zarimann somehow used in creaton of warframes and that's what allows for the link betwen the remaining kids and frames?

Also, Excalibur Prime's background text states:

The Sentients had won. They had turned our weapons, our technology, against us. The more advanced we became, the greater our losses. The war was over unless we found a new way. In our desperation we turned to the Void. The blinding night, the hellspace where our science and reason failed.

We took the twisted few that had returned from that place. We built a frame around them, a conduit of their affliction. Gave them the weapons of the old ways. Gun and blade. A new warrior, a new code was born. These rejects, these Tenno, became our saviors. Warrior-Gods cast in steel and fury striking our enemies in a way they could never comprehend. Excalibur was the first.

    - Orokin 'Warframe' Archives

Excalibur is one of the frames that could indeed hold a body inside. Perhaps first frames were indeed such experiments?

There is also the fact that the operator keeps talking to the warframe, like "Watch it!" or "Need to keep a lookout for supplies" and such. My personal belief is that it's only DE's way of incorporating the operator into the missions and it's for our benefit, not the frame's, but I might be mistaken.

And of course, warframes need life support, although again, I think it was simply a way to create a type of mission, because survival without the worry of life support would simply be: hide in an inaccesible place and go afk.

    Edit: I like felixsylvaris's version :) \/

  13. I apologise if it was posted before, I couldn't find it.

I would like to know wether rewards for the sorties are generated personally or per team.

For example: I have completed the Sheev set this season, so if I go to the next sortie with a friend who is still hunting for its parts will it prevent him or lower his chances of getting parts for that weapon?

    Thanks :)
