  1. I'm hearing lots of reports of Mags powers doing miniscule damage and decided to try it out on my Rhino.

I can confirm that doing Rhino Stomp, with Focus around 25%?(I'm in a mission atm) and it did a CLEAN....83 damage......

This was on a Nalpam LVL 10 or so on Mimas

I then decided to go to phobos and an Arid Grineer Seeker was my next target. Rhino Stomp, BAM....143 damage

I now do Roar and Stomp and I get about 600 damage range on some enemies. (These are lvl 15 and up btw)

So something must of happened during the update but I thought I'd post it here to confirm some others suspicions

  2. Gas would be terrible for Grineer since it does 75% less damage against armor. I think the best combo for Grineer is still corrosive and heat. Rad and toxins for infested. Magnetic and heat(or freeze) for corpus.

This actually helped me a lot. Before the change though Viral was better at killing Grineer at least to me. But after playing around with this for a bit it's fantastic! just slicing up grineer with the greatest of ease and infested just melt. Corpus are still $&*^s though :\

    Thanks for the help :)

  3. So I had the weakness down to where my weapons ABC loadouts were for facing different factions on que but now with the changes it seems that Corpus/Grineer share a common weakness of Gas and Infested now take 3X damage to Radiation instead of Fire anymore.

I find these kind of weird but whatevs.

My question is with Grineer though

The Codex suggest Gas for their health...but on their armor it's resistent to gas by 3.

So how does that work? most of their weaknesses are resisted by their armor so does that mean grineer don't have a weakness? or does it negate certain elements to an extent or what!?

Because bottom line is. I want to kill my enemies with the fastest efficiency as possible and in order for me to do that I need to decode the codex on what it's trying to tell me.

Not just for the Grineer but for every faction.

  4. The grind for them is pretty much hellish. only do it if you REALLY want them. I farmed the Dakra Prime and that thing is fantastic! The only 1h sword in the game that can hit multiple enemies from what I can gather and it's damage is higher than the other 1h weapons. but the farming on that is awful (Exterminate missions btw)

I say go for something easy like Latron Prime/Mag Prime since there on Survival missions and you can easily get 2/3 parts for both Prime variants in Suvival Tier 1. then go on Tier 2/3 since the levels only go up by 5 levels or so.

other than that. It's up to what you want. Boar Prime is the highest capable DPS primary in the game right now so that's what I'm going to farm next.

Btw Soma is pretty much the greatest. Galatine too but I'm biased and love those weapons :P

  5. I guess I'm pretty lucky....I only used 1 (yes it's the Prime one) and got around 10 Orokin Cells during it's lifespan (which was only a few days) and a ton of spores, few detonites, and the rest plastids. then decided to take it to mars for Gallium farming when it died there >_>,

I saw there worth it. They slowly build up resources while...while you farm resources. Hey this is a farmy game so anyone complaining on FREE Resources regardless of worth is a bit silly.

  6. Why does everyone immediately start talking about personal preference when this is clearly a simple matter of math abd facts? In fact why are so maby people who appear to not have leveled all the weapons answering this? if you haven't tried them all then at least dont also commit the first problem as well since it confuses the issue.... If its not been tested by you then at least pass on relevant information.

For secondary weapons the brakk reigns supreme. Common knowledge and little i can say that hasnt already been said to back this up.

For primary weapons there's a lot of debate. The synapse, ignis, boar prime, braton prime, and ogris have all been mentioned many times on this thread and many other threads. Strangely iv seen a great many threads complaint that these weapons are now terrible as well. Ogris especially seems to be almost 50/50 for OP vs terribad and honestly I have no idea what to make of this. My advise is to be very specific inn your question such as not accounting for aoe style damage and pure dps as that will support certain weapons in a way that will be hard to test with math against other weapons. I recommend a damage to ammo efficiency. Then after that you can skew it with modifiers like 3x to ogris and ignis to account for aoe or just also doing dps so you can see how the two amounts compare (if both the dps and ammo efficiency are close together and really high then thats a sweet weapon compared to a weapon with awesome dps and terribad ammo ratios). This is not a arguement for the "its personnel preference/skill" way of thinking since given resonable fair math modifications we should all be arriving at a clear mathy answer. The only help on this I can and will give is some base synapse numbers. With full crit build and all damge mods nearly maxed not including heavy calibur at all synapse has over 1800 damage (including both the electric and toxic mods since one is just more damage and I just happen to be using corrosive builds) with a 5.6x at 100+ chance. It's not even close to done but that's just all the math i remember. Someone really should test this stuff....

Melee weapons ill let the "personnel preference/skill" people have since no one really talks about or tests the melee weapons. Best iv heard the dual ichors have it?

If it's numbers then check out

if you want statistics well...there it is have a read but for those who just want to know the TOP weapons.

Soma is running at 23K DPS with nothing but damage mods. Crit build from his post

CRIT BUILD=serration+split chamber+point strike+vital sense +speed trigger+3xelemental (From my own experience with this build I took out Speed Trigger with Shred for Punch Through and the elementals I used Corrosive and added Fire.)

    Soma crit build is Godly.

Boar Prime is also a powerhouse if you like shotguns

Brakk is #1 on his Secondaries and sadly is unobtainable same with Detron. Bronco Prime is your next bet.

His posts are fairly recent so it goes with the Damage 2.0 system.

  7. Ugh could not do this solo....BARLEY got him down when the console was getting DECIMATED by Corpus and had no energy left to do my Rhino Stomps...and even then I lost 4 revives and said "WELL EFF IT TIME TO SEE WHO CAN HELP ME!"....all in all that mission was intense! O.O Darvo's lines were also a highlight of the whole mission!

  8. SO on to story time! as you can tell by my name were probably going to be heading in METROID Territory. It's also one of the reasons why I like this game so much is that it reminds me of Metroid.

And now with the Codex it just cements the idea even further!

While fighting Lephantis in the Derelicts with my new Valkyr I made the most beautiful connection whilst I scanned Lephantis with the Codex.

I'm reliving my glory days of Playing Metroid Prime on the GameCube.

With that in mind it brought a single tear down my cheek and made me love this game even more.
The way I Grappled to saftey and continued to destroy Lephantis with my Strun whilst laughing maniacally was very worth every penny I spent on this game. ALL OF IT. I don't know how much I spent.

Yes I'm a master founder and I WOULD Have upgraded but was too late to do so but I spent A LOT more before and after I bought the pack.

And finally killing Lephantis and receiving a new Mod that I haven't acquired was just the icing on the cake! for those curious Rebound or something like that. Glaive mode :3

    Just...so...beautiful! T_T

All I really want to share. Any nostalgic feelings of other games?

  9. So first of...Most of the complaints people have are that "oh this boss is too easy" (Alad V) or "Oh this boss is too hard" (not sure which one. all the bosses I've faced were fun and challenging in their own extent Lephantis was amazing and hard at the same time)

I actually don't know if this is feedback or something else entirely as it's more of a suggestion/idea but here it goes!

I see that now Alad V is a new target for the boss being "easy"

I can't really agree with that as a person leveling up my Valkyr he was a pain. Until I used my FULLY MODED RHINO to beat the ever loving hell out of him.

AND THEN KNOWING FOR A FACT That he is on a mid level planet. He's met to be challenging for lower level people. end of story. if you want hard bosses here is my suggestion.

    Boss Survival Mode.

Simply put. You fight all the bosses in quick succesion all higher level than usual (Vor/Alad V+Zanuka/Jackal) and others staying the same but with more mechanics (Ruk with a fire field arena/Vor with less cover arena/Lech Krill with a Icy terrain level and etc.)

These could be Void Missions Void Tower Boss I/II/III

but wont follow the conventional Leveling of the others they'll all be the same and rewards will be different as well (may be a great way to introduce a new Prime warframe and weapons and possibly an event? ;D )

These could take place in a Void arena that bend to the will of the bosses you are fighting (wheather it be a replica or a new stage that compliments the bosses ability like Vor with his beam of death or Ruk with his flames of doom)

No real need to make it SUPER in-depth as it's just a mode where you fight various bosses in one go and get to extraction.
A scenario would play out like this.

Void Tower Boss I key which consists of 5 out of the 15 bosses of Warframe.

    Vor/Jackal/Hek/Anyo/Alad V

It goes in order of difficulty on star map.(Best to my knowledge btw)

Lotus tells you the bosses you have faced have made it in the void and to eliminate them.

You go thru a few rooms like normal and then head to the Boss room #1

Vor Cutscene plays (Maybe with new dialogue?)

you fight Vor in his new arena he's a higher level than you previously fought him and he drops a single mod and a bundle of rare resources.

You continue thru a few rooms (maybe 2-3 which have lockers and canisters to refil on ammo, energy, and health)

You enter the Jackals room (could add lore reasons why he's there. Maybe to clear some Corrupted, fight some Grineer, etc.)

Fight Jackal, Win, Go to next room, theres Hek, etc.

    you get the picture?

I think that would solve a lot of complaints, add a new game mode and Tower Void mission (or make it some weird planet thing I don't know. I don't like it as an option cause that just doesn't make it fun)

and it can be very rewarding to players who want to test out their builds with others and fight these vicious enemies in their new playground and maybe even challenge solo players like myself.

    SImply put (or TL;DR....)
Boss mode would alleviate the unneccesary talk of "This boss is too easy/toohard" Add a new game type and add new content that could be revealed with a big event. My idea for an event would be like Phobos' Assassinate mission to fight 2 bosses at the same time. (Jackal/Alad V, Nef Anyo/Ambulas, Vay Hek/Ruk, etc.)

Could introduce new weapons, Primes, all sorts of fun stuff.

If you've made it this far congratulations! Post a comment on why you like/don't like this idea. and remember thoughtful insightful answers please!

  10. Thanks George. Give Rebecca Lotus a cookie for all the hard work!

Not a cookie! Ice Cream or something soothing like a smoothie because over 300 lines of pure talking (and assuming they make her repeat the lines over and over to find a good one) is hard on a persons vocals O.o Good job guys! Loving everything so far!

  11. Was soloing Capture mission on Phobos. Got first capture then the markers were gone and that's it. Explored for nearly 5 mins and got a lot of good mods until I had to face facts :(

Did it again to test if it was bugged and yup same exact thing happened. Capture the guy and doesn't let you progress.

  12. He murdered the hell out of me and I was ready. Rhino with Iron skin didn't help... I died horribly lol

I think he now has the power to make it your powers actually useless O.o I used Iron Skin then he used some Smoke Screen and my Iron Skin just *poof* I now have built a VERY Tanky build for my Rhino incase I see him again. Let my weapons do the talking. Not my frame. You know cause he has no mouth.

  13. Likely your clients pod health bar bugged, and something was ripping it to bits without you realising.

I was staring at the pod while killing said infested. And I was playing as Rhino so IS gets most infested to me like a piglets to a moms teet. The only exception is a few and I had a good melee weapon to one shot them.

  14. This bug occurred(sp?) just recently. On Io, Jupiter.

I was on wave 8 everything was fine Killed an Ancient (Healer) on the stairs in front of the pod and BOOM Mission Failed. I'm a little miffed by this considering that I just got a mod I wanted for my Rifle. But yeah it was weird.
