  1. I like the Health Restores and the Ammo packs there great and all but it really halts gameplay alot in some aspects such as boss fights and sometimes even in situations where you can't get away from enemies (I'm talkin to you rollers!!) so how about health that is automatic when you reach very low health. Much like in Mega Man and Super Metroid! Each Reserve Tank restores 100 each so having 4 in your inventory will restore 400 health instantly!

  2. I like everything BUT the shields/health amounts.

You don't tank with health in this game.

    You just don't.

I remember seeing on the forums here a chart showing how much damage Ash and Saryn can take vs Steel Fiber and Vitality and it was very surprising that they can take alot of damage because of how much health they have since they have a base 150 health pool. The thing about Health is the more you have the more damage you can take. Shields regenerate of course but more health means more hits! and with my Rhino Rework. MORE DAMAGE! :D

  3. As we all know Rhino is the "hot topic" right now or at least was..
Most people want his IS reverted, reworked, nerf, what have you. I see this as an opportunity to finaly make Rhino have Good utility but also be the TANK he's supposed to be.

I know that in the livestream they mentioned Rhino but adding more feedback and some changes that the community add helps the Devs get a clear idea on what people want.

Now most people need to know what TANKING means...
Tank: tanks redirect enemy attacks and/or attention toward themselves in order to protect other characters or units. Since this role often requires them to suffer large amounts of damage, they rely on large amounts of health or armor, evasiveness and misdirection, and/or self regeneration with AoE attacks for large groups.

This is mostly a broad statement about tanks in general but it fits Warframes case for Rhino, Frost, and Trinity(Yes she's a tank and I'll explain later)
Rhino at the moment is 3 stun attacks and an absorb for damage with Taunt. Many other warframes have attacks plus different crowd control abilities and some utility.

That's not really a tank more of an annoyance to enemies...

Here are my rework Ideas for Rhino to make him an OVERALL better Tanking Warframe. Perfect for Solo AND Team runs.

    Stats:
Seems overkill to change his stats but were going to change one. Health

    Health 150.0 (450.0 at rank 30)

    Power 100.0 (150.0 at rank 30)

    Armor 150.0

    Shield Capacity 100.0 (300.0 at rank 30)

    Shield Recharge 22.5

150 Base health. He is a tank so Health should be top priority! It will soon be apparent why later.

Shields will be lowered but not too much his stats are identical to Frost in terms of Defense so this makes him different and not just a victim of being copied.

    Skills:

    1st Ability: 25 Power
Stampede: Rhino Charges at an enemy and creates a massive shockwave in front of him knocking them down (causes a little amount of damage not increased by focus but by upgrading the skill itself).
Combines Radial Blast and Rhino Charge into one beautiful ability!
The Charge itself isn't as long as Excali's Charge. Its more  like a lock on to a specific enemy then the shockwave after damaging and knocking down enemies. Think of it as a Bowling Ball hitting pins down the lane.
Affected by Continuity and Stretch Continuity for stun duration and Stretch for Shockwave length.

    2nd Ability: 50 Power

Iron Skin: This...This ability has seen so much flak that it's hard to try and balance this. Tanks have to take damage and for Rhino just to be Invincible isn't much being a tank more of being "oh hey it's that guy..."
Here is my take for it
Rhino hardens his skin Absorbing damage and being immune to crowd control and sapping(disruptors) effects for a few seconds. The duration should be 8 seconds. Continuity increases Time, Focus increases Absorb.
Pretty much the same as live. I feel an absorb is very good medium. You arn't invincible for 20sec and you still are taking damage. This ability is supposed to be situational! This ability is great for Boss fights and Hordes of enemies.

(My personal opinion of this ability is that it makes Melee gameplay a viable way to kill enemies. Just like how Ember, Frost, and Trinity have ways to maximize melee play Iron Skin makes Melee more of an option the only difference is the "God-Mode" this was my opinion before the nerf. Now it seems this is more aimed towards situational play activate, take threat, have allies recover. That seems more of a tank now but I still like melee play

    3rd Ability: 75 Power
Juggernaut:  Increase Health and Armor by 5% for 40 sec. Affects ally's..Stacks with other similar effects. This ability will make Team play with Rhino very defensive and would add utility to Rhino he didn't have before. Frost has Snow Globe and teammates can use his ability to his advantage, Trinity has her Link ability to mitigate different types of damage and help teammates (that is if you choose to actually be a healer and not a tank....) This ability for Rhino would add more survivability to most Warframes and adds to Rhino's defenses for Solo play.

Rhino = Warrior (Rhino feels like a Warrior in WoW. He deals good damage, good crowd control, and add some utiltiy for the team)
Frost = Death Knight (Frost feels very much like a Death Knight in WoW. Not just because of his Ice element but that his abilities have good slow crowd control but also deal heavy amounts of damage.)
Trinity = Paladin (Trinity IS a paladin like class. She can Heal she can Tank she can DPS. She can help out in so many ways for team play but can also tank with her abilities too! She is a hybrid!)

It makes sense if you see it in terms of WoW Tanks in some way. Each Warframe adds specific utility to teams making different group compositions much more enjoyable and diverse.

    4th Ability: 100 Power

Devastate: Rhino causes mass damage to all enemies in the area. The damage is increased with the amount of health missing. HERE THIS!! THIS IS IT! Tanks deal high amounts damage ONLY When they take damage themselves. This will add much more depth with playing as Rhino! This is the niche for Rhino players to use to see those hordes of enemies just explode in a glorious gory mess! Damage it deals is about the same as Excalibur's Radial Javelin but spread out among enemies. The damage is increased by Focus and range is increased by Stretch. It has a cast time but you are invincible during it. Same as Javelin. (I thought about adding when you cast the ability you still take damage to a point making it a gamble to deal MASS Amounts of damage during some tough spots but the reward is everyone will die indefinitely but who knows this could be a good idea. Could stop at 1HP and just decimate bosses but this ability could be affected by enemy resistances for that route.)

And there ya go. There is my take on how a Rhino rework could work.
This is just to show devs that there are interesting ideas going around the community and that we really want to help make all the Warframes balanced and have this game be very enjoyable.

I would like to get a take on how others see this and if it seems viable for Rhino. I can't really see anything wrong with it myself as I am the one making it.

And I will go to lie down on my bed since this took me literally all day to make @_@....while playing Warframe on the side :D

  4. I think we should all stop perpetuating the idea that the Rhino has ever been remotely useful.

It's true. Most of his attacks were dull and the only thing going for him was Iron Skin. He needs a rework to have better utility instead of having 3 attacks that stun.....

  5. It is due to the Focus mod buffing it. You are not immune to knockbacks/stagger. Krill has still sent me flying while overheat is active.

Yes Focus increases the damage reduction for Overheat (Full 30% Focus) to 91% or so. Shields don't recharge when this happens and I've still taken some Melee damage from those damn Flameblade Grineer..>.< but Stagger and Knockback still persist so its great for when damage gets too extreme...but being kicked around like a soccer ball by Shockwave Moa and Bosses and many other things still is a pain...

Also the Drain ability still takes in affect so don't think you can be a "Fire" Rhino with Overheat :P

  6. I tested this with 3 weapons, Scindo, Glaive, Dual Ethers. and all of them when I do my air attack I float down like a majestic feather. Then slam into the ground like normal. Seems very odd....taking the whole float like a butterfly sting like a bee to far...

Edit: This only happens when you use the attack from great distances above the ground.

  7. So I did the mission as normal and when I go to the Grineer System (which is weird to have Grineer tech at a Corpus base but I'm sure they'll turn it to Corpus Systems) I put the data mass in the System and Nothing happens. I lose the Data Mass and No Defense starts. Stayed for 10 min. killing enemies and no advancement in the objective so I left... >_> got nice exp for my weapons though....

  8. No no the OP is saying the stalker showed up AS HE IS FINISHING THE MISSION. And to all who think you can kill him You just get him down to low HP and he kneels and drops the BP. You can't Kill the stalker...
And my response to you OP is...T_T

  9. Do you have to kill him to get bp?

I had a post about this and an answer was no. He kneels down and the BP is left behind but like all boss type enemies it's rare.

  10. Right after update a friend and I met the Stalker during a void mission. We killed'im and both got the Dread blueprint. I don't think we killed'im for good, just got'im to the "kneel down and fade away" state. Not 100% sure on this though.

My guess is that drops aren't guaranteed (and we got lucky).

all right I'll take that answer. Now just have to wait till he comes back >.>

  11. So when you kill the stalker does EVERYONE get something or the person the stalker contacted....cause I'm not going to lie the dude with me on a Defensive mission did absolutley NOTHING to save himself form the stalker other than run like a coward. I destroyed that dude. But is he supposed to crouch and dissapear or do you completley anhilate him for loot?

  12. Heres an idea of a Corpus Boss:
    Dragoon
Essentially it's a large flying boss
    You disable the wings
Blast the crap out of it
He gets up and attacks you
    He has 3 attacks
Death Ray: Like the fusion moas but slower and target random players be careful cause...well it's deadly..He'll stay in place in the air and the beam will follow you. Becarefull not to hit others!

Missle Barage:spreads it's wings and fires missles that home in on random players pillars and cover are there to divert the missles if hit you are stunned.(Which will set his next attack up if your not carefull)

When he's low on health he'll switch to ground phase and use a new attack

Sky Claw: His wings are badly damaged so now he'll charge at random players Pause and charge a melee attack. it's pretty fast but agile tenno can get out of there.
He'll still use his other attacks only he is limited to the ground and he has Machine Gun turrets for base attacking like the jackel

And one I think people will like just for the sheer epic feel to it

    Stalker PRIME
Now the mythical Stalker is now a boss and has very team killing moves (He'll change them if your solo)

Mind Tear: Controls a Tenno player to attack others You can't controll your character and you deal damage(If this CAN be implimented than cool but here is another alternitve if it can)

Doppleganger: The Stalker now splits into 4 one of them is the real one the other share his abilities and gain a new one based off the existing Tenno(Random not oriented to team makeup) The copies are weaker than the orignal.

Flurry: The stalker sets up his blade and unleashes a fury of slashes. He charges at a random Tenno and starts hacking away. Can easily get out of his range stay in there and your chopped meat.

Corruption: The stalker throws down poisiones redidue where the Tenno is standing it slows and poisions the tenno. You can roll out of it but your movement reduction will persist for a short time.

When low on health the Stalker shifts into a meditative state to recover some shields and goes into his final form!

Omega Cannon: The stalkers ultimate weapon! He charges his cannon and fires at will! A slow ball of destruction heads tword where the Tenno previosly was. Upon contact with Anything it explodes causing massive coruption to lay on the field. It's perminent. So this is where burn phase comes in to play.
He only does this at final Phase

I've played a few MMO's but these boss mechanics are form a fav game of mine. Metroid. Stalker analgous to Dark Samus. Dragoon to Ridley. Would really make the game super awesome with these kinds of bosses!

  13. I like this! We do have one It's Mags Bullet Atractor + Excalibur Radial Javilen = DEAD ;) I would love to see stuff like this where Co-Op play gives more options to take down enemies. Would make encounters pretty different. Especially Bosses.

  14. Thank you very much :) I have Streamline on my Frost but Nyx seems to benifit it alot more like you said. I'll have to make a Wrym Sentinal then for that Absorb so my shade doesn't do that to me. I like to dish out as much damage as possible.
    Thanks again :D

  15. NO, why not do a training mission instead, like an actual mission like raid that will be slow paced and with plenty of tips.

Well most people want to be immersed in a game but others do like to be informed to. Why not have Mercury a whole training planet? It's low level anyway it makes sense to do that.

  16. I don't know if anyone has said this but I actually would love if Light was a big part of how to stealth in this game. Much like Splinter Cell how they did that. Seeing as when you do Sabatoge missions and destroy the reactor you cut the power off everything. Also Some abilities like Volt's Ultimate actually destroy lights! I would love to see that implimented to make Stealth much more of an obtainable option rather than luck in most cases seeing as most rooms are really big and don't provide much cover.

  17. In a sense. Okay so we all know we get a "this is how you controll your warframe" tutorial when you start it up. But there isn't really a Tutorial in how you interact with things or how missions pan out. So why not have Mercury be the whole Tutorial. Each Mission gives an aspect of the Warframes. First World for example Terminus. Have Terminus explain most of the Parkour elements about the game and introduce moer and more with each mission leading to Captain Vor.

In doing so have Terminus be Static Tile set. Meaning it doesn't change at all. But after that everything does! That way for teaching Parkour and Wall runing and all sorts of stuff you can still learn the ropes. Introduce enemy types Via Lotus saying a Heavy Grineer and have the little "intro" cutscene too like the first level have it all regular and light armored grunts and then introduce the heavy grineer with the Strun Shotgun and continue on from there.

Now I know it seems very wonky but if I don't post this It's lost in my mind forever. >.<
It's a nice idea and can help players get accustomed to how Warframe has many different Options for style and flair but also make players aware of how to do things.

Any thoughts? Gripes? Words of wisdom? I'm mainly looking for some criticisim on how to make this a better idea rather than shooting this idea to the ground.

  18. Pretty much what the title says. I potatoed her and everything. What mods are great for Nyx. I like her abilities so I want to focus around that.
And what Weapons compliment her as well so far I have Glaive and Paris and those have been great!
Any help would be appriciated :)

  19. I'll put in my 2 Cents here for a moment here and say...you didn't ruin Rhino. You just kinda bruised him a bit (I play a VERY Defensive Rhino with all Mods that increase his Survivability. I also have Tanking Background from other games so I know how tanks should be) And ,Now here me out pls, IS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. The thing about tanks is:
    We take Damage
    We Mitigate said Damage
We make it so our Frail Teammates don't die from said things we are tanking (Lets say Jackal/Phorid or even Ancients with there evil abilities)
We dish out damage via Vengence mechanic(now this isn't the case for Warframe as Our Weapons with Mods make up for it. If you can't DPS down a Jackal with your load out Solo it's time to invest in some mods or farm Xini.)

The only problem right now is that I see is that the damage doesn't seem to be mitigating and of course the Disruptors and Knockbacks But there is Also the Poison element in there.

If we can get that fixed then Iron Skin will do just fine.
There is also the talk about his abilities being really weak compared to other Warframes. I do agree but that there lies the problem. There similar to some warframes abilities.

Charge Is basically a poor rendition of Slash Dash.
Radial Blast has little damage and in order to make it better you'll need to put the mods in for the effort but why do that when you can go full Defense Mods and keep it for stuns? (I don't think the stuns work on infested though from what I see and most of the enemies shrug it off)
Rhino Stomp is effectivly a CC this I find useful it STOPS Damage and that's what people are missing.

Tanking isn't about Dishing out Damage it's about TAKING Damage and doing everything in your power to make sure nobody dies. That's the thrill of a tanking class!!! NOT DOING THE MOST DAMAGE!!!

I want a Rhino that can Take on loads of enemies and still live!! Teammates supporting him while he Cleaves, Stomps, Blasts everything so the team kills the stragglers and he emerges victorious!

I'm for a nerf but help his other abilities so he is a niche for team. Make him credit to team! It's amazing to be that heavy guy with a gorgon slowly walking in a room bullets flying everywhere and my shields only take a few hits. It's Great! But I LOVE MELEE!! I love getting in the fray and that's why I love playing Rhino.
The only thing that sucks is the bugged state of Iron Skin right now. I'm sure I can still take on Infested and come out particularly fine but I probably wont be able to get to round 15 in Xini Solo and that's fine. If I can still farm Warframe BP's Solo with a good Load Out and some Health Packs then Great!!

I have no good idea's on how to make the other abilities better. Other talented people can though so I leave it to them. I just wanted to post here and say thanks for this game! It's SUPER FUN!! LIEK OMG!!! If I was rich I would throw ALL the moneyz at it. But I support the best I can with a few purchases here and there and post on here what I find and what I think about playing.

Sorry for this long post though. There's a lot of tension right now in the community and I hope this post gives light in how I think the Rhino should be.
    Thanks  :D

  20. Anti-Toxin.

Reduced poison damage or poison resistence?

Theres AntiToxin Cold Blooded and Diamond Skin.

Anti-Toxin is obvious and I guess that's what were going to be using then for Poisons

Cold Blooded probably to negate the Terrible Shield Reduction we get on the Freeze Hazards

Diamond Skin I have no clue.
