I mean...lorewise that would be difficult, no? Eidolons are old, they’re relics of the Sentient War, and Revenant took a long, looong time to be corrupted and wyrded by the remnants on Earth. Orbs are supposed to be a relatively new and expensive infrastructural development by a faction of the Corpus.

Of course, that could get handwaved in like two seconds flat if DE decide they want an Orbframe, so who knows.

I don't really like the idea of Orbframe. But we may get Corpus-theme frame in the future (robotic proxies ability?)... Since... you know... Corpus were already there when the Old war begins. But since the Orb were suppose to be constructed after the Old war end (or rather... after the Orokin Era end). There should be no new Warframe research at that point.

Not to mention Revenent weren't really Eidolons theme but Vampire (although, I think it would be Vlad but there are no 'Impaler' ability...). He just got contaminated by Eidolons power over a very long time (atleast from Old war to present). Basically, if he would have Prime varient it would be Vampire theme not Eidolons one (like how Valkry Prime works).

Great points. I didn't think of that. I forgot about the "can it be primed" rule lol.

Now that I think of it's probably more likely that the Orbtech will be used to create our own robot proxies like Noche mentioned.

I agree, it wouldn't be canon to have an Orbframe, not unless the frame is based off the ancient tech or something that the Orbs are created on...

My personal pet Orb. Battle machines. Deployable Hyeans. Count me in.

  2. Eidolons >>> Revenant.

    Orbs >>> Orbframe incoming?

TBH Revenant is one of my fav warframes rn and also happens to be devastatingly tanky and powerful. I wonder what an Orbframe would look like.

I hope it's something super crazy, with an oversized Orblike head that shoots a concentrated laser (as one of its powers maybe, like and exalted cannon). In fact, it's head should be the center of its power. Just like Revenant is built around his left arm of glory, so the Orbframe should be built around its head.

I'm trying to find a pic online of something similar that doesn't look stupid, but I hope you can get the idea. It should have really broad shoulders, a skinny waist, modular looking spider-like limbs, etc. Of course, for the sake of consistency and practicality, it should still be biped, able to work with all the usual frame stances and attachments, etc. But just like Revenant's body and texture is unlike any other frame, so should the Orbframe's appearance.

It should have a special shield power, similar to Revenant, maybe one that gets charged up with dmg over time instead of just being cast. And as for its ult, it should be an exalted beam cannon from is head, or some type of unholy orbital strike from above with rockets.

    Thoughts?

Maybe it'd look something like this, of course with a more Warframe/Tenno/Orb-consistent appearance.

  3. Hey so I know I should probably post this bugs but I was wondering if anyone else noticed that clients can't see the beams for Revenant. Like when other people play Revenant in my squad, I can seem them dancing ballerina but I don't see the beams, only just big swooshes of light and dying enemies. Is this a bug?

I was thinking it would better of DE just got rid of the light paintbrush swooshes all together (they look like Mesa's 2nd power and are rather cluttering) and just make the lasers the sole focus. Also if they could fix the bug if clients not seeing the lasers that'd be great, if it is a bug.

    Did anyone notice this too?

  4. I'm going to copy paste the theory I put forth on the Discord here. Excuse the formatting.

I'm just going to engage my intuition
It's pretty clear from the trailer that Umbra is mourning
Umbra lost someone, the him, its first owner
I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that its first owner was Ballas
but Ballas got mindfricked by Hunhow

    now Hunhow is free
    yes he did
Ballas created the juice that destroyed him
and this occurred during his Subject 9 test on Umbra
    a sentient powered warframe

    he became its operator
then got sucked out into Hunhow's mind
    THEN
    hang on
    let me finish
    NOW Ballas is FREE
    from hunhow
    and he has returned
LOTUS/MARGULIS is the key to getting UMBRA back
and HE, BALLAS, his true self, will sacrifice himself
    to save Umbra
    which we will inherit
this quest is all about Hunhow vs Ballas

    yes Ballas is good
    he was
but he was also crazy afand his subject 9 test, the UMBRA PROJECT, was his last bet
    his hail mary project
    and he was like
"I love Margulis and she told me she gonna make these kids warframe pilots"
"I'm going to beat her to the chase"
    touches the void
    gets corrupted
"I've never felt such power before!"
tries to use power to control sentient technology in Warframe Umbra
    fails
Umbra breaks free but Hunhow is sucked away
now Teshin, Umbra, and us must team up to the save Ballas
so we can in turn save us from Hunhow's plans
because HUNHOW got a hold of one of the Umbra variants early on
    guess what it was called?
    STALKER
    the rest is history

  5. Also, I watched all the Ballas cutscenes and trailers (back to the prime ones) and I don't think the dude talking in the Umbra trailer is Ballas in his right mind. Yes, it's Ballas for sure (even the CC for the trailer supports that), but something got in him. It just sounds too much like Hunhow, and I don't think the DE sound team just did that by accident. The tone is the same.

  6. I think that Teshin will sacrifice himself for us. Why?

After what he did during the War Within, it was pretty clear that he knew he f**ked up.

All actions have consequences. Leading the Tenno straight to the Grineer Queen's trap isn't something we can forgive.

Even Teshin himself kinda hinted by his tone that he's gonna have to pay the price for what he did and how he betrayed the Tenno, even though he "saved" us at the end.

I know the theories point otherwise but I do think that Teshin and Umbra have a very close relationship. And whoever once owned the Umbraframe...that person will sacrifice himself so that we can acquire Umbra.

Reading all of the posts as of late along with the Sacrifice bingo card has me quite anxious and worried. A while ago I said that this quest has the potential to top the second dream and change warframe for years to come. I still feel this way, but something tells me an event will occur that will change something - maybe a very shocking or revealing truth?

Anything could happen as far as we know, but I’ve got a gut feeling that this quest could definitely do some real “re-optimization” of our thoughts or of what we’ve “known” for years.

I agree. I actually have a pretty good feeling about the quest. I think DE will deliver. However, I do think that the quest will leave more questions than answers. And then there's also the issue of what players like me, who've lived for Umbra, will do afterwards. Just like there was pre-SD and post-SD Warframe, there will be the pre-Umbra era and the post-Umbra era.

  8. Yeah I think The Sacrifice will come before Tennocon. Steve seems pretty serious about it. It's kinda of like with Specters of the Rail if I remember - it's probably gonna be jammed through no matter what and then the Tennocon will be like, half-praise, half-apology for all the bugs but just how great the whole damn thing was. But it won't live up the hype for sure.

But who cares? I want them damn scarves and gold trims. Finally I can be a true, authentic edgelord without relying on black, red, and edgy Tennogen skins.

we all know that Lotus is th daughter of Hanhow who is a sentient. and sentients were bunch of robot drones which were send to the Tau system to help the Orokins colonize new planets. so, how could Hanhow who is a robot, had children?

All will be revealed in The Sacrifice.

Hi, I'm Wawus and this is solo build Dojo, for everyone crying out loud about "It takes too much time to build something nice" 🙂

I'd like to introduce you to the effects of my 4 months effort.

YOU ARE AMAZING. GENIUS. Teach me your ways senpai. Show us duh wae to be great like you. I think it's so creative how you basically recreated whole levels just using decorations...I'm building my own dojo right now and I hope I can do something similar.

  11. So as you know TotalBiscuit just passed away. I just thinking - you know we don't have an actual memorial system in the game. I mean, people go the relay, kneel in front of some statue or something...but it would be good if we just had some little "in memoriam" thingy in each relay. People could buy flowers from the market for credits or something and leave them there. Sadly, this won't be the last tragedy that the Tenno community will have to deal with and it would be good for community to have an official outlet for their thoughts and prayers. What do you guys think?

Ah I see. Is there like an actual memorial set up? I feel like we should have some kind of "press F to pay respects" system or hall of honor in the Relays. I want to be able to like lay flowers or something lol. I'm sure this isn't the last tragedy the Tenno community will have to face, so I feel like adding in some kind of memorial system would be a good idea.

    OP UPDATE:

doing a review and overhaul of the main page

added the twitter and quest requirements for sacrifice

Right after DE posted that first list of all the quests that had be done, they took it down from all platforms. They replaced it with this. https://www.warframe.com/news/warframe-quest-guide

This is the list that doesn't contain syndicate quests. So I guess what we believed before was true? We don't have to do Glast Gambit and all that stuff in order to the Sacrifice. We just have to do the mainline quests.
