Ever since the Sands of Inaros update and before the DDOS attack, connection issues were poor for me such as host migrations 50% of the time now when I join a mission with players already I'm it, and random log outs. I had to play solo most of the time ever since and it's not fun because I can't help my friends farm resources or do quests. Not only that, but it makes trading impossible.

Maybe move this to PHP? Sorry man, that sucks

As mastery fodder, sure. Carrier Prime exists, why use anything else?

Because some people play casting heavy frames that don't want to waste a slot on natural talent and would rather just be invisible. (Huras ftw). Also because some people would rather not pause in combat and eat bullets trying to scan things, or want to do Simaris missions faster..(Helios ftw). Carriers are amazing early game, as they build up your resource pool a ton, but after you have enough items, you can pretty easily get by by grabbing what's in your path. As far as not missing a rare mod or something, playing with friendly well coordinated Tenno who know how to use waypoints solves most issues! (: It's personal preference at the end of the day though.

I am still using mk1 things and its really hard to kill enemies without having someone else helping me, i can't understand what is strong and what not in the crafting foundy and some times it gets tiring   are there any strong weapons where i can just buy them off with Platinum from the store? can you name me some of the strongest that it has so i buy them today and be done with this

If you HAVE to buy a gun, buy Sonicor. It will allow you to CC your way past everything and eventually get good gear without wasting plat in market.

That being said, I would highly advise against spending play in the market, besides for Ivara, as farming for her is a pain is the A$$.

Go ahead and buy weapon/frame slots, you'll appreciate it later on in the game.

  4. As the title says, what is the best weapon for an EB build, and how would you build it? I don't have access to Skana P/Prisma Skana/Prisma Cleavers etc due to being a poor lad in the way of plat, so if you could suggest something clantech or BP or currently farmable prime, that'd be great. (I have Bwar/War and Nikana p/Jat Kittag as my mains, and I'm currently debating to build either Dual Ichor or Mios.... which one is better btw?) Thanks Tenno! Sorry for the question spam

Tesla really needs a buff or complete change.

ATM id still rather drive the car than use the ability.

(And thats just a primed toyota prius, so get a grip!)

blizzard-white-with-18-rims-jpg.42611On a serious topic though, Vortex needs a damage buff, and Tesla grenades need some sort of elemental swap, kinda like Ivara's arrows. If you made the augment work with this idea, he's be pretty viable. (Creating a line of fire between through grenades, making a toxic cloud between them, etc, rather than just a weak electric arc)

As for right now, Vauban will only be brought out for Bounce Pad trolling and Infested CC.

  6. Gotta say Atlas, we share the same stony quiet personality, and always get into fights.

Benefits? Well, I wouldn't be able to be knocked down, and I could hit people into orbit with a single punch, not to mention summoning golems to do my bidding.

Flaw? Well, all the body mass from my neck got put into my shoulders.

Would I be happy? For sure man, for sure.

April fools is a "holiday" where you can take things less seriously, where you can pull fun pranks or stick something funny in a game just for the lulz.

So how about this year for April fools we get Noggle Helmets?

Yeah you heard me, for one day, I'd like to see everyone running around with comically large heads that bob around when moving.

It's low effort content, just a few meshes increased in size, and I think the whole thing would be fun.

So sign the non existent petition if you also want this

it's extremely obvious that you get more Damage from it, i just wanted to get a percentage of how much more in the worst case scenario.

that would be how i'd normally think about using Life Strike, yes. when low, slash one Enemy (perhaps Ground Finisher / Combat Finisher to ensure the percentage you steal is more than your Health Pool), and then be done with it for a while.
granted, if Enemies are high enough Level, you'll need to use it fairly often as you'll constantly take significant Damage. but Melee Combat is also ill advised normally at those Levels, since you're likely to be instantly Killed by various higher Damage Enemies.

That's mostly understandable yeah, but I think I'll be making a second build as well, I have a melee firequake ember build that fairs really well with lifestrike in high levels, tons of finishers and crits, but obviously a few hits kill you, so constant channeling is a thing. I'm thinking make it at least lvl2 in case I'm playing on navchart or lower level nodes that way the life steal % isn't entirely useless

  9. @taiiat Appreciate the advice, thank you for doing the math (I was pretty sure the extra crit helped more, but didn't want to be edgy and ignorant :P ). I might max out Life Strike to lvl 3 and then definitely swap focus for a 90%, because you're right about not using it much, so eff doesn't matter much in the end

  10. I'm considering building it purely because I feel it's one of the coolest looking melees in the game, but looking through stats/trivia on the weapon, it seems very impractical. Only thing I've seen that is can do well is a 100% status chance upon finishers, so perhaps a gas/radiation build is viable? What do you guys think? Any build ideas I could try, or is it just not worth the effort?

asking for advice then countering because it conflicts with your playstyle kind of makes this thread void and null. sorry but i have nothing else to give you advise on. you want damage but you wont be willing to add more damage.....not sure what to say at this point

organ shatter is doing you no good cause the bonus is so slow vs. actual damage

Not really, I was just explaining why I'd prefer not to remove a certain mod which you stated could be kept if it was used, I was more-so looking for critique on the other mods, or rather than saying "dis bad" say what you'd replace it with~

  12. 12 minutes ago, sekushiiandee said:

cause all your mods are focused on crits and speed instead of actually increasing damage

ditch organ shatter like he said above...and probably replace life strike as well unless youre constantly channeling

Life Strike/Focus Energy is for my own playstyle, and isn't worth replacing for an elemental in my eyes, I play a lot of solo, so that's my method of healing. Is it worth putting True steel in place of organ shatter O_o

  13. So currently, my Nikana Prime uses the following mods, but I'm not entirely sure if I should be building it differently. Any advice is helpful, thanks!

    -Blood Rush Lvl 9

    -Body Count Max

    -Organ Shatter Max

    -Pressure Point Max

    -Fever Strike Max

    -Focus Energy Max

    -Life Strike Lvl 1

    -Berserker Max

I can't seem to crit past 8k even after killing roughly after 200 hits/kills. Help! What am I doing wrong T_T

  14. Depends on your Archwing honestly, I find different weapons pair better with different wings.

    Ex-

Odanta/Odanta Prime- Imperator Vandal (Well rounded weapon that works with the wing's speed/powers)

Itzal- Grattler (Amazing gun, it's only downside is range, which is negated by teleporting) <--- My favorite

Elyton- Velocitus (Being able to tank more leaves more time for fully charged shots)

Curious. Freeze ray is pretty fun to use, but doesn't strike me as viable. Haven't tried the Lanka yet, but I'm going to be brewing one pretty soon, as the charging nature of the rifle reminds me of TF.

      Reveal hidden contents

Also because it's a railgun and that's pretty sweet.

Glaxion is viable for high level captures if you don't play solo. Example: Player 1 freezes target, Player 2 slaughters them. More viable early on, before your tonkor/dread/vectisP can one hit targets regardless. Lanka is horrible IN COMPARISON to other weapons, and I find it to be totally un-viable, if you want to use a sniper rifle, run Vectis P. Between charge time and projectile travel time, Lanka just isn't worth it. (Nb4 salty players "u r not skilled enough to lead shots n00b")

  16. In your opinions Tenno, is the glaive prime worth getting/potato'ing? In addition to that, what frames does it work well with? It seems that I can't find a set to save my life, and I'm wondering if the search for a set would be worth it. Also, this part of the question might be better is PHP/trading, but does anyone know who much a set costs? Not my main concern though.

    So much hate those days...

    F

That was really just me pointing out that frames like Atlas are still viable, because so many players seem incredibly biased to the generic powerhouse frame builds (EV's and RJ's, Snowglobe Frost's, Roar Rhino's etc.) Not trying to hate! (:

  18. The golems are NOT worth building to be offensive, due to terrible AI and the issues you stated regarding them being unable to hit low/high enemies. I main Atlas and I HIGHLY advise using the two rumblers to soak damage and decoy for you during defenses and survivals. Very little can kill them, I've taken mine up to 90 minute T4 survivals, and they sponge damage for me amazingly. Run "Tectonic Fracture" in place of titanic rumblers. I recommend building for duration/power strength and sacrificing range. This allows for a powerful landslide with an almost 2 second combo timer, as well as very sturdy bulwarks of which you can place three to make amazing choke points and provide quick cover for revives, etc. His petrify is pretty meh for reasons I can explain if you like, so ignore your 3 button, it's not worth building for, even playing with the Petrify augment, trust me.

    So to recap.

Build Health/Armor/Strength/Duration (Power drift is an amazing Exilus mod for Atlas builds) and you'll have a one hit wonder, heavily defensive frame that can provide quick cover, as well as put out two amazing decoys to help draw fire away from you and your allied Tenno.
