  1. It is probably wrong forum, since feedback forum warframes refer more towards already existing frames. Maybe try in community fan fiction?

    Warframe has action in Space, so everything need to be more otherworldy.

    1. A frame with big ass shield. Captain Warframe and his mightly shield.
    2. It is in space. So it is Lunar Disc, Or Solar Disck. Ok some form of frame dedicated to sun.
    3. Spartans or Legionares has pillum or Dory Spear, so Sun Lance. Sun lance is fair enought.
    4. We have this Spartan legionare theme, so we need to inspire fellas at some point.
    5. Also we need to testudo or phalanx as one of abillities (your standrd protect the point abillity, this time with spikes).
    6. maybe we can lend our shield to the friend like old Nezha.

    It is not very bad idea. If we combine Sun with Spartan/Legion themes.

    There could be a problem that could end with similar setup that Gara has. Like mix of Nezha and Gara,.

    Not so original. But percepction may vary among players.

     

  2. Valkyr is warekitty is that good enought? She can turn into beast mode. Have some form of howl. Could do more pouncing and less get over here, but that is not big deal.

    Valkyr skin turning her into doggy. That is one idea.

  3. The accusation toward Ember was exacly "she is ruinning low starchart experience with an abillity to kill enemies with WOF over walls".

    This is a bit different from too powerful, since that would be an abillity to kill very high enemies in great numbers, which wasnt Ember abillity at least anywhere recently. More "not fun for me to play with Embers".

    Which leaves bad impression, since if you want you can use overextend Ember and still kill a lot of low levels minions. Or use Excalibur, or spam Mag with polarization. Or just use one of aoe weapons. But in addition Ember is now click intensive, recast WoF every 15s. Recast Accelerand for each room. You can run with Ignis yay, but you can also run with Ignis on Mirage, and that could be easier with similar effect. Or volt and run faster.

    So now there is a Saryn mode (ESO) almost as some frames ware more popular in spy or defense mission, and there are new topics about it each weak, with heavy bias towards "Nerf here to the ground, i want bloood!". It happend before it will happen in future to your favorite frame.

     

  4. Here is an idea:

    There is a Fireball abillity which could be charged, but what if we can keep charging it up, just keep charging as long as we want to. After 5 stacks we set ourself on fire, after 10 stacks we enter super sayan state.

    Would that help. Probably not. Will that be drunk idea, a bit yes.

  5. The Embers kit is more or less what would you expect. It is more that best abillities are just ok, but some are meh. It is also unclear if she is a dps frame, or random abillities with fire strap together.

    Passive: Is not reliable, and is blocked by WoF. Maybe elite mod will change it maybe not. Passives are generally gimmicks.

    Fireball: Is something when you reload and need short interupt. But damage is garbage, charge up minimal, charge does not affect firepacht. And it does not strip armour so it is useless at higher level.

    Accelerand: Is kinda ok, as long as enemy is vulnerable to fire, and you limit yourself to pure fire weapons. Need to constant recast is a bit annoying, but doeable with efficiency build.

    Fireblast: Highly problematic. Since cost a lot, blast is not important, firering not safe. And overall it does not help Ember. Maybe ring should move with Ember. Maybe it should have protect. Maybe cost could be lower.

    WoF: Why overheat when i can just Accelerand to spend energy for more energy? Community demanded blood, and wof nerf, and WoF was made annoying to use. Damage is garbage, cc is nice, but only 5 targets is not reliable cc.

    Why to play Ember when you can play Rhino, Nezha, Octavia, Banshee, Excalibur, Mesa, Equinox, Volt, Mirage, Nova, Nekros?

    I was going to question. Why exactly do people laser focus on armor when taking high level content? I abhor endless missions but my understanding of "high level" is that it comes from staying long on those, but aren't those of all four factions? Shouldn't a frame being bad at armor only make it unsuitable for 37% of the content? (25% being grineer plus 13% being half of corrupted). That actually sounds rather good to me.

    Maybe becouse high level Corpus has like 120k effective health split on shields and health. But Grineer has 4m effective health (health * DR). But who knows maybe they know nothing.

    DE need to decide what is Ember supposed to do well and just go with it. Mix of garbage dps, cc, and buffs bundled with low survival is rather bad, since there is always a better frame to pick.

    Also Ember needs some form of armour stripping on her fire. SInce it is hard to find mission type without armour. No Orokin. No fissures. No ESO. No plains. And going with something else than fire on ember... why not Rhino instead? (Or Nezha, Banshee, Volt, Octavia, Mirage, Mesa... )

    If ember remains as fire frame, she needs a way to melt armour. Or armour mechanic rework in general but that is ETA never.

  7. Not a bad idea.

    Generally i dislike channels (but charge mechanic feels better) since it mess with regeneration, roots, and mess with weapons (which sometimes are more deadly). So i would always pick duration over channel for base version.

    However, if someone likes channel, sure, make an augment for that, could even strap something extra like bonus damage or something to make augment worthy.

    Channel-Duration is nice augment idea, since it really changes how abillity works. There are some augments which could be part of base abillity, since it is always better but not by much. Augment tax is less fun.

  8. Picking up firering is nice idea. Interesting.

    I do not think that Ember needs a lot of defenses. It is ok if some frames are squishy providing they have enought dps instead or their abillities are powerful.

    Fireball damage will always be a bit garbage comparing to weapons. SO having it channel all the time is not that great.

  9. Keep your starting 50plat. Run two Lith fissures. Sell junk. Buy 2 frame slot and 2 weapon slots. That is some start. Do Sacrifize quest for extra reward.

    Nevertheless, for me it was weird that there is no single Orokin Reactor as reward. Running lith fissures 20 times is one way.

    However having reward from "clearing starchart" or quests is more rewarding.

    The idea is to give new players 1 free reactor so they can waste it on basic Excalibur, but learn what it does.

     

  10. Some nice mod could make Megathreads for Saryn, Ember, Chroma, Titania... seriously we do not need 101 threads with my glorious 1min rework which is totally different and more balanced than all others.

    If you made a thread with rework, yay, you may start with declaring what you want to achieve. I will be so kind and do it for you, main problems with Saryn:

    • ESOESOESO... she is queen of ESO, and together with Volt, Equinox and Mesa are for Hresomen of ESOcalypse. Also ESO!
    • She is DPS frame, which could often result in higher damage than Rhino. Unspeakable.
    • Max damage on spore 100k is alot (even if she do not reach it normally). Especially if it is independ from abillity power.
    • Miasma range is on generous side comparing to other nukes, especially since Saryn can go deep and run away. (not so squishy)
    • Toxic Lash is self only buff with specific element (not so universal) could be stronger.

    The core problem with Saryn is that she has aura which deals 3*3k damage around her. Which is alot. More than can achieve Ember, Oberon, Banshee. Mirage, Hydroid or any other frame. And you do not even need crazy investment into abillity power or gimmick build, party setup. Nerf max spores damage, and Saryn will go back to buff her bucket.

    OP glorious rework have  issues:

    • Ramping from 10 to 50 takes like 1s, so it is change for nothing
    • After 10s with 200AP it will be 50+10*10*.0.5*200%=100 corrosive/s. It is rather low even comparing to Oberon Hallowed Ground (which is 100*AP instantly, and this one could be buffed)
    • There is no problem that Spores ramp to omg fast.
    • 50% status corrosive is nice bonus against Grineer, which is nice but limited. Stripping armour for others is nice party tuility.
    • There is already problem of Saryn being useless in normal modes, since Spores ramp so slow and decay fast
    • You can lower natural spores decay with duration mods.
    • Removing initial 20% decay is actually good idea.
    • Not targeting max spores damage 100k is not hitting the key problem of spores.
    • Molt is already as strong as Ult could be. Stun is nice bonus. Also discount cost helps if mission is no sporeable.

    Some other 1min Saryn rework:

    • Max spore damage equal 200 corossive * abillity power (x3 spores) just as similar auras
    • Remove initial 20% decay
    • Buff Toxic Lash to 50%/100%
    • Reduce range os Miasma to 15m

    SMall changes nerfing Saryn a little in exacly Eso, but buffing in normal missions.

  11. It could be good idea to let Eclipse cach the light during cast. It is enought gimmick to have some fun. On plains it is possible to have steadysupply of light (or dark during nigh time) but in normal missions it is less fun to play. Since Mirage payer would probably want to move (especially if melee) so it is random buff which swich on and off constantly. Not fun. Caching light would be more interactive and reliable.

    Prism could be charged up abillity in similar manner as Hydroid Hentai. Charging up increase damage/duration and range with cost.

    Light or Darkness could affect nature of prism. Like Light=damage, Dark=mirage CC (charming, or attacking at random).

     

  12. There is a PlagueStar event. I run it with Mirage, some crit amprex, and 500% eclipse. Could be better, but not a bad setup, yet still there are damm Titanians reaching 70% damage . Totally op. And unlike ESO which have only relics, Plague Star have some useful rewards. It is almost unplayable with all the Titanians flying around. Should we nerf Titania? I am paying customer and demand justice!

    not every frame needs armor strip. if you think they do, why not ask for revision of armor scale. there are mods like corrosive projection and with using a high status weapon with corrosive you can bring down armor. no frame should have their powers change to make them strong against something broken. DE really needs to come face to face with that armor scale.

    Corrosive damage is not affect by accelerand, the more corrosive you use the less you benefit from fire damage.

    So ember is exacly the frame which need armour strip, which is result of her premise of fire frame.

  14. If there is some random alert at low levels i would pick Ember, the only limit is number and pricce of loadout slots. You can even slot overextend for extra fun. But it doesnt matter, since low levels versus 100 mod capacity with any frame are easy.

    You can go efficiency full fire against infested. This is nice. But there is no important content with just infested. Maybe that will change in future.

    You can go melee, yay, but you can also melee with rhino, oberon, excalibur, nezha. Or any frame which is good and useful.

    Main problems:

    • It is hard to tell what is the purpose or role of Ember other than being operator dummy with power creeping weapons.
    • She is a bit unfun, since u need to constant reapply accelerand and WoF, but neither of this abillities is interactive or very powerful. Too muich clicking for little effect.
    • Passive doesnt happen often, and is blocked by WoF. You need greater gimmick to trigger passive (and nerf yourself)
    • Fireball damage is unimportant and utility is minimal. Charging up fireball does no benefit.
    • Fire status CC could be delivered with any weapon with fire or radiation.
    • Fireball firepach is too dark
    • Dlash Accelerand changes elements to complex
    • Fireblast is overcosted, and ember is too squishy to stay inside the circle on her own
    • Fireblast cost a lot for what it does. You need flash accelerand each mob group. WoF is drain. Ember is energy intensive.But she does not deliver anything special for that.
    • WoF is garbage. Low damage, high cost, and only 5 targets. It is also sustain so it blocks energy regen.

    Fix:

    • Fireball Firepach is player energy colour
    • Fireball could be charged 4x times and it affect firepach.
    • Fireball melts enemy armour
    • Flash Accelerand only adds fire damage, but does not create complex elements
    • Fireblast Firering protects from bullets and projectiles
    • WoF has only 1 version, low damage, low cost, high range, 10 targets.
    • WoF is duration based, we can tap it again to create second heathwave and finish it early.
    • Add augment which cuts range, increase cost, and turns it into sustain. Or other derp ideas you like.
    • Passive1: Fireball firepach drops fire spark which Ember can pick up to set herself on fire for small life price
    • Passive2: Each time Ember applies fire status she gains heat increasing her Abillity Power, if she does not her heat is cooling down transferint into energy.

    That would make her fun.

    But pretending everything is ok is also fine.

  15. Potencially the augments could change the way abillities work.

    To some degree stuff like changing abillity duration<-> channel makes more sense than adding effect which could be there from the beginning (so many cases).

    However the request for new augment need to be numerous.

    It is possible you are one and only who liked old Nezha.

  16. Thanks, some good stuff here. Some nice rewards:

    You need 3*10 radiant setireum for Magus Elevate if you aim for that. You may need 2 sets of that.

    You need 3*10 Heart Nynth for Exodia Epidemic (also 10 Exodia Epidemic)

    You need 3*10 Heart Nynth for Magus Nourish if you aim for that.

    Looking for rare minerals... for me it is one of worse activities, close to flower picking for Titania.

     

  17. There are people who like Saryns kit and general idea, one reason could be that she does not suck, and she could melee, but do not have to, and she is dps frame. And sometimes you need dps frame. It is suprsingly hard to find pure dps frame. Generally nerfing someones favorite frame in stupid way (to the ground) could shrink community.

    There is a lot of focus on ESO, which i do not think is as important mode, and is very gimmick. Should be nerf Loki in Spy, or Frost in defense? A lot of discussion is eso eso eso, which could be no longer important once fortuna hits live. It is possible that ESO needs relax on efficiency drop, maybe more efficiency pickups till turn 8. To icrease roaster of frames, but players will probably stilll pick dps frames. Or find something else to beach about. They could invisible focus farm, but they do not. It is not about focus farm, but complaining.

    i Have a bit different experience with Saryn, if there is a Volt he could do more or less same dps (and better kill count if that matters, whatever).. Tanky frames kill in 7:3 ratio, but they are tanky. Maybe my build is lacking some mods/arcanes. In other modes it is hard to grow big fat spores* 20m to even think about it) , and spamming miasma is as good as spamming spears or reckoning. More feedback from Saryn players needed.

    As soon as Saryn got nerfed, there will be moaning about next frame. Frotuna may favour Volt and Mag (and she is not even that good) so postponing nerf is only sane option. It leaves warm feeling of spoiling someones game, while limiting damage.

    Buffing: Nyx, Wukong, Atlas, Vauban, Titania, Chroma, Ember would definetly shake the usage chart.

    If DE needs good ideas how to nerf Saryn without nerfing her:

    Itroduce max spore damage equal to 200 corrosive * abillity power per spore. Which is similar to what other auras can do. Note that you can have 3 spores. But you need to babysit, and there is wind up timer. But remove initial 20% decay (it is pointless, and cuts Saryn off normal missions). Anything less than 100k we have now, and somehow scaling with abillity power. That is the point of abillity power to increase damage.

    Reduce Miasma Range to 15m, now 20m is very generous. Even more since Saryn can take the beating (armour, molt) and it already stuns so can go deep. It is not Mag or Banshee where you need operate at range.

    To offset that increase damage bonus on Toxic lash to like 50%/100%. Since it is self only buff, so might be good.

    It is possible that would be a buff in effectivness, since lower spore damage gives more time to kill them and spread the spore, and more ticks of corrosive status. However tha end screen Damage Done value will be lower. And damage done is most important part of the warframe!

  18. There is a thing that at mr20 you can run whatever, could be eso, and then sell syndicate mods. And everyday buy reactor, or mod, or whatever.

    You can level up in Hyperion, or you can level up doing various fissures, and sell junk relics. It is not fast but to some degree fun, you do various mission types.

    You can also run eidelon bounties for lenses.

    You can also sacrifize 12$ and be done with your plat needs for long.

  19. Things i bought with plat:

    • slots, a lot of them
    • orokin catalysty, reactor, exilus adapter
    • delux skins
    • colour palletes, syndanas.
    • some frames i have no heart to farm (Ivara, Nidius)
    • some prime parts which are vaulted (this from trade)

    it is really up to you. Slots is something you need, which is hard to get the other way.

    Community knows what they want? Doubt it. Some folks just want Call of Duty in Spaaace. Others just want to have top kills for some reason. There are a lot of expectacions.

    I think the problem with Ember is that it is now hard to tell what she is good for. She has some CC (short duration) some damage buff (only fire, and need reapply for each mobs), some damage abillities but they fall off damage very soon, on top of that energy issues and a bit of squish.

    It would be nice if Ember was great DPS frame (we dont have as many of them) with either weapon multiplier or small aoe abillities, community dislikes big aoe nukes (officially, but we all know the truth).

    Quality of Life:

    • Flash Accelerand does not change elements into complex
    • Fireball firepatch has more player energy colour.

    BIgger buffs:

    • Fireball melts enemy armour, and could be charged 4x times
    • Fireblast firering creates safe space protecting from bullets and projectiles
    • WoF has only one mode, with big aoe, small damage, small cost, but affect up to 10 targets. And is also duration based (like 30sec);

    Bold Buff:

    • Fireball firepatches have sparks which Ember could collect to set herself on fire, but pays iron price for it.

    That would be still be not op, and there could be better options like Octavia or Nidius, but ease of use will skyrocket.

    You can still play Flash Accelerand efficiency build with fire weapon against infested. That setup is good enought.

  21. Ember is not exacly RNG. If you can find a nice tileset with napalm paches you can set yourself  on fire quite often. However even then fire status last around 4 sec, so that is 40 energy back per patch.

    There is a proud tradicion of bad passives, like Rhino is not really important one, but Rhino in general is a good frame. With Ember it hurts more since a lot of things in Ember could be done hot, but she ends as avarage flame with no good reason to play it.

    With Gara you may make a point that if it happens it is good. With Frost the chance is low, and the requirments very specific, so the chance could be higher.
