  1. There was an idea on the gameplay forum area for a new mode against the infested that are timed. I thought of some dialogue for Lotus and thought it might be well received here. I may also do a short story write-up as well when I have time and I'm able to concentrate. Without further adieu...

    On Entry:

Tenno, an opportunity has presented itself to us. We have a chance at destroying a piece of the backbone of the infested. We are deep in infested territory and there is no way of knowing what can happen here. The infested have complete control over this ship. I will be monitoring suit/frame telemetry just in case. Be aware.

On first damage taken by a mob, resulting in the infection/corrosion beginning:

Lotus's voice reveals a touch concern, her breath shortened slightly

"Tenno, something is taking hold in your armor. Finish the job quickly and escape. I think they somehow infected you with the virus. Don't take anymore hits."

10% of time depleted through hits or passage

Lotus' voice is a touch worried as she monitors your telemetry.

"The plague is spreading, it may start to affect your systems. Please be careful. You need to complete this mission swiftly. Let the way of the Tenno guide your blade. (Or some other way of saying something like "may the force be with you" or other catch phrase.)"

    50% of time depleted

Lotus' voice is obviously worried. She sounds as if she is on the edge of her seat as she describes what is happening in your suit.

"The infection is continuing to take hold. Your energy is being compromised and it is starting to eat away the inner workings. If you stay there much longer, it will consume you entirely. You NEED to finish the job and get out of there or you will be lost... forever."

75% of time depleted. Your energy is being sapped slowly (Energy Siphon may no long work at this point either) and the range, duration and strength of your abilities is reduced. Shields intermittently go out entirely and flash back on as though the shield generator is hiccuping due to the infection.

Lotus' voice starts to break, as if she is holding back tears, containing her fear for her team of warriors.

The plague is sabotaging your systems from the inside. It's eating your energy to power itself and it has started eating both your attack and defense grid. Make it out of this, Tenno, I believe in you.

100% of time depleted. Your energy is now being sapped faster (double the rate of before). Shields now flicker off and on more than before as the generators fail. Powers take a hit, halving their total effectiveness. (Iron Skin for example will only block 50 percent of damage instead of all.) Your health slowly starts to fall at the previous rate of your shielding. The only way to renew it is with Well of Life, health items and health orbs..

Lotus' voice is urgent, a sob breaks through her voice and the fear in her voice is obvious.

"The virus has now started attacking you directly. I don't know how much more of this you can take. Get out of there, (Warframe Name, Rhino, Trinity, etc) now. If you don't, I'm afraid you will become one of them. You cannot allow this to happen. If you get out, we can help you. Go... now."

    Upon Death

Lotus lets out another sob, speaking her final words to you as your vision fades to black and you collapse to the ground.

"I should have never sent you on this mission. I'm sorry..."
  2. Don't worry, you get unlimited attempts. Experience is saved and you lose nothing in the process. PM if u need more tips

Hah, thanks. This really alleviates some stress on my end because I really wanted to play around with my Grakata last night, but then I failed the test and I was like "Aww... now I have to use my 30's until I can do this... Leh Bummmmz. But now with this new news, I can rip some faces with my underleveled things. Woo!

  3. Quite personally, when it comes to snow globe, especially for defense purposes, I really prefer to keep it less than max level so that although it has the length of time, it doesn't have the range. I prefer to keep it closer to the pod, rather than farther out so the effects don't reach out too much and people can't defend as easily against approaching enemies when they're farther out.

  4. Yes, it does rollover.

Source: I failed the first mastery test.

Thank you. I switched all my weapons to 30's when I failed my test. I was disappoint. I wouldn't have minded as much probably if I could have had my Scindo going still.

  5. I have a question about Mastery. I have my mastery bar filled and managed to fail the test (Rank 6-7 and I didn't do the best on the round.) If your mastery bar is filled and you level something up, does it roll over on rank up? For example, I'm at 1900/2000 mastery, still at rank A. On game finish, my weapons add in 400 mastery because of low weapons or just luck or what have you. Will the 300 extra Mastery roll over to the next rank or is it lost? If I gain more mastery at my current rank, does it roll over, or is it lost?

  6. I've personally played both Rhino and Frost. My Rhino is Reactor'd however.

Rhino is good versus pretty much everything. Iron Skin is invaluable wherever you go, particularly for reviving. He is also best at the fore-front of a firefight to be taking damage while dishing it out. And personally, I think he's better in this regard. Iron Skin + Scindo = Dead Everything. Pretty much that in all of its glory. I find myself using his CC's and even his first level skill very little due to their utilities and my own play style, however, I have no doubt that they're immensely useful when they're available and needed.

Frost is really only decent versus ranged enemies and especially on defense missions of any kind. Frost popping a snowglobe on Kappa is great and keeps you from failing, provided you have a decent damaging/distracting frame as support/backup. His first skill is next to useless due to the freeze dropping when you shoot the target, which kind of sucks. Would probably be great while running away, however.

Also, Rhino DOES have a horn, but it's really hard to see on the forum picture. If you look at him from the side, it's more noticeable. And his Thrakk helmet has a very pronounced horn.

  7. Quite honestly, I wouldn't even mind if it was just Resources that got their own line. I don't really care about credits, energy, health or ammo. If it gets picked up, coolio, if not, I'm full. Whoopdeedoo. But Resources should at least have a separate line in case they need to be marked for farming purposes.

Also, an area for seeing what resources you have gained at the end of a match would be nice.

  8. I didn't, but now I do.

EDIT: Also, I see no reason not to allow a scope on inaccurate guns, just don't expect the bullets to hit where you aimed.

I'll call your batman signal light and raise you one Spider-Man Light.

  9. How about they just make it so you have the option to unlock trading with 75 platinum after reaching mastery rank one?

An interesting idea, and possibly a good moneymaker for them, but I don't necessarily see it being implemented unless there was a credit option available that was rank required at a higher rank.

  10. There's a rather large elevator on one of the Corpus Missions that you can climb up because it's broken or whatnot. Corpus sometimes drop down through it for a spawn. Me and a few friends managed to climb up it. More areas where this is available would be pretty nifty, even if it was only an alternative instead of a requirement to get someplace. Some people don't have the know-how or key coordination to do it.

  11. Simply put, I think that the pick-up loot should all have different lines that they display across. Too many times have I picked up a bunch of things at once and been able to see what all it was. This is especially important for resources/materials because while I probably won't tag Ferrite or Nano Spores unless somebody is actively looking for them, I WILL tag a control module I find randomly, or some other rare loot. An example would be

    Resource Item

    Credits

    Ammo/Energy/Health

    As an example.

    Alloy Plates

    +105 Credits

    +25 Energy

  12. I would really like to see some additional directions in some of these. The one I got today was very... vague. Something about showing how powerful my warframe was, then a timer and enemies. I thought I just had to kill them and be done with it... Apparently not because I failed.

  13. The "meat moss" needs  a mesh fix, because bullets and bolts will actually hit it - and not do any damage, rather than the legs of the ancient infested you're aiming at. Maybe if that was fixed, then making it taller would be an option.

But there is a community of players who already have a revulsion to the current meat-moss, I can't see them being happier with more of it.

Well it's not like it's supposed to be cotton candy. It's supposed to look nasty and icky and scary. That's why I like it. Also, the fact that the bolts and bullets hits it kind of sucks, but that can be taken out. That, or you'll have to use melee while in the waist/shoulder high Meat-Moss.

  14. I was thinking of some dialogue and screenplay of how Lotus would be talking and such during these types of missions. I'll put some examples down below. There could also be the listed effects on your system as you go further into the game, giving you a further sense of urgency to get in and get out.

  15. I think some of what you guys are suggesting is also in this thread in Gameplay Feedback (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/41946-new-mission-type-virulent-infestation/ )

Some things I would like to see as far as maps go, is higher meat moss (the stuff that grows from floor/walls in Infested missions) with infested that hide inside of it. Think Jurassic Park with the tall grass and the raptors. You know there's something in there. You know it wants to kill you. But you don't know where it is. You don't know where it's coming from. You don't know when it will attack, how, where... But you know it will. I think that would be a great addition to infested levels. Maybe have it up to waist high on the warframes consistently or even chest/shoulder high.

Also, does anyone else hear cicada sounds in some of the infested sound bites?

  16. Also, remove him wanting to avenge infested...what sense does it make for him to defend those monsters?

Infested are living creatures, too! Save the Infested! *hugs a tree* XD
