As for me, I got my email but everything is N/A and the mastery rank is way off.

My pure guess is that it fetched my previous Nintendo Switch Stat (that I haven't touched since the initial sync account @switch launch). Could be a mixed up with the connect account or something.

I'm looking forward to the year review and hope things get fixed :)

Same for me. It took my Playstation stats even if I've merged my accounts so that my PC is the main and everything in the email is N/A and it claimed my MR is 16 which is where I left my Playstation account several years ago.

I would enjoy being able to get my PC/main account stats.

  2. I tend to play this game with voices mostly muted because the same voice lines playing over and over again gets really boring. Even if they're different kinds of voices saying those lines.

Also, for me, I find it hard to follow dialogue that is happening during a mission in Warframe. It's like that Ropalolyst fight, it was a lot of "blah blah blah" while I was running towards the boss. This new quest was kinda the same. It's okay if nothing is going on but trying to tell me something when there's a lot of stuff going on just means I miss those parts of the story.

Honestly, I'd love to partake in a Relay rebuild event. I'm on Switch, so Kronia and Orcus haven't been a thing. And frankly, people ace the Fomorian/Razorback events before they're even done now, so there isn't any real consequence to those, since someone like myself figures they'll be beaten before the timer is up.

Besides, such rebuild events would be a great stop-gap to do once Nightwave is over and they need some filler content until the next New War lore drop hits.

Most recurring events are scripted to automatically finish even if no one were to play. There's no real risk involved since DE doesn't have time to do anything like that. It would be nice to sometimes have to face consequences.

If DE do another rebuild event I sure hope it won't be like the last one. That was such a missed opportunity and an awful "community event". Even the weapon reward was super lazy.

  4. I eagerly wait for a side quest one day where we find out that all the animals we hunt get sold into furcoats. So we mass murder the factory and stop hunting wild animals for sport. It will be a happy day.

Just watch Tiger King if you think keeping wild animals locked up "saves" them. (PepeHands)

Anyway, it's one of the challenges I decided to skip a few seasons ago because I just don't want to bother getting frustrated with it. I feel amazing about that and am thankful that DE made sure we can skip a lot and still finish NW.

  5. My guess would be that the login system on it's own as it is keeps a portion of the players engaged enough to sometimes prioritize logging in and logging out even during periods of being inactive. At least it's common enough to see people saying that they are just doing that.

If you tie it behind doing boring dailies, you'd probably cut that number. Not sure what the benefit would be for DE.

  6. I like the increased credit rewards. I reached a new record of 0 credits on completion a few missions ago. /s

That aside, as someone who has avoided RJ until now, my first impressions are pretty positive now that I'm trying it for the first time. I'm still building my own boat so I'm just hopping on missions with randos.
Without a boat of your own, the missions rewards don't really make any sense though. I think something could be done to fix that. At this point my biggest gain is a new way to level up AW stuff without playing "AW missions".

Lastly, I get why this single mission repeated becomes tedious and boring to play. I hope that is just a matter of time with the Corpus stuff on the way.

Because you are paying for a warframe slot (20p), a reactor (20p) the skipping cost of each part and the warframe itself (correct if i'm wrong, but each part cost to rush 25 p and the warframe itself costs 50p to rush, so, it would be 125p (25*3 + 50)), also you aren't farming resources or using what you have. Also, the prices of the in game market has nothing to do with the user market. I still believe it's a bad deal buying a warframe tho, but I don't think the price is too high for everything they give you for that.

In reality the prices aren't high when new warframes are released since it means you can skip the grind. That's why in recent years it's often been horrendous because it works to push players to buy (I'm guilty).

It's just that after the primes are released the market prices don't make sense anymore.

  8. I've always felt that the "primes are older than vanilla" thing is actually something that holds Warframe's lore and logic back. I just think it's stupid with the way they come after. Why would we never accidentally find an unknown warframe in the void if that truly was the case? Not to mention that since they keep making more it gets a bit harder and harder to believe it.

Also there's the fact that now that we are a few years in most of the warframes are easier to come by as prime than vanilla. Yet there's quests and mastery hidden behind some warframes that you would otherwise never touch and never touch after mastering it since you have the prime. Logically it would always have been better to improve our existing frames through old technology or some stuff like that.

However, I do hate the idea of locking progression behind challenges because I find most challenges created in this game to be dumb af. Riven unlocks are a prime example of tedious nonsense.

  9. It is way too expensive for what you get but while plenty of people buy it it won't change.

There was a Prime Vault last fall that seems to have sold badly enough for it to get shut down very quick and replaced. So it's just a matter of whether their financial goals are being met or not.

And as this thread clearly shows, plenty of people are happy enough with this quality/price point to actively defend it. I once didn't mind but I am spending my money elsewhere now where I feel I get more value (product quality is also one reason). Even buying other stuff in Warframe is usually a lot better value for money imo.

  10. Only recently I started noticing that an old issue has been happening a lot more.

The Kavat seems to be standing still and getting killed in the process. At that point it is often several tiles back, forcing me to backtrack a long way to revive it, or leave it to die.

This used to happen a lot when they were newer and I felt it had stopped happening for the most part but now it's back to being real bad. It's really annoying when this happens because you don't have time to be running back several tiles with the speed of the game.

I think that if a companion dies it should teleport to the player's tile if it's in a different one. You could make it happen only once (on death) and if you leave it at that point at least then it's on the player.
I also think it should be coded so that while it's alive it is never allowed to be in a different tile than the one I'm in. That if it lags behind it is automatically sent to the player's current tile within a few seconds.

I only use Kavats so I don't know if this also happens to Kubrows/MOAs but I feel like the same logic should apply to all companions.

  11. I would love to believe they could say anything, but like my alcoholic ex, if there's no action that follows the endless promises to improve there's no need to waste any time waiting/hoping.

Last year's "white board" stream was the last time I was willing to give them a little benefit of the doubt. And here we are, a year+ after and everything is in flames. The grind has gotten a lot worse, the updates have been awful, yet cosmetics keep being rolled out for revenue.

I hope the stream goes well. What I would like to hear is that Tennocon will not be a scripted fake demo this year and that precious dev time will be spent elsewhere but... it's their biggest marketing platform so I fear not a lot will happen in our favor for the next few months.

  12. Bullet Jumping was the offspring of coptering. Because people were already coming up with ways to speedrun through the maps and it limited the equipment variety. The update actually helped a lot with both melee and warframe selections because you didn't need to copter or use Nova portals or Loki switch teleports to go faster.

So I actually disagree that this update was the start of a problem as you propose. I however agree that tilesets should be designed with this movement speed in mind since it is one of the identities of this game. It would be a huge risk for DE to remove something that has been at the core of how players play the game for years.

That's why I put it in quotes lol, I don't like how people complain that there's "nothing to do" and the latest event is "so broken it's unplayable" because that undermines the massive amount of work that's going into every little aspect of this incredibly complex game. Of course S#&$'s going to be broken! There are maybe a few dozen people working on a machine with literally tens of thousands of moving parts (maybe even more, I'm not experienced with code and this game has been around for such a long time and grown so much). The quickest way for them to fix something is to put it out there and get their millions of players to put it through the wringer and find every possible crack in the framework for them.

If every game dev had this kind of attitude I wouldn't play games at all.

I have played fresh Early Access games with more polish than some of the updates Warframe is unashamed to put out. Yet I buy the EA games expecting game breaking bugs and very rarely do those games crash or need the amount of bugfixes on release that Warframe offers. Yet Warframe also sells $50-$140 Prime packs 4 times a year plus all the other stuff they offer.

My opinion is that DE needs to start having some standards.

  14. They nerfed the quest and are trying to make it look like it's better this way.

I don't call some bad cutscenes released sporadically a quest. I could have accepted them turning this into a longer story spread out but at the moment it's nothing but soap opera style dialogue between some boring characters. This has been so long in the making and I am so over them drawing out this Lotus drama that's staler than a month old bread.

  15. I don't think I ever got one of those when breeding but to be honest if I had I would not want to keep it because I strongly disagree with breeding flat nosed animals in real life so I don't support it in any form online either.

But I'll usually accept other kinds of "ugly". I always wish I had gotten an abomination of my own back when Kavats were introduced.
