    doesnt work 💀

    Support it is.

You could try the nuclear option which is doing a full reinstall, but that's a lot of data if you have a cap.

The biggest no-no with VPNs is when you use them to bypass regional things, like trying to get a discount by purchasing with other region's prices. Can you pick a VPN server from within your country? That'd be the safest.

  2. News to me as well. I often play as Khora with double Primed Animal Instinct so I can see forever, and it's always annoyed me that the vertical distance didn't keep up. If this is changed then great!

At minimum, it needs distance based color coding. Closest items should be bright and bold, furthest items - darker and more faded.

Maybe shade them more red/blue if they're below/above you too.

This is a total contradiction, if you're stripped of options how can you find your quirky synergies? Best thing is, if everyone was able to pick what they want you could still run your niche builds while other players can simply be efficient and get on with it.

It's a bit pithy but necessity is the mother of invention. If you get some weird weapons and a frame you aren't familiar with the best way forward is to try it out! The only option you've been stripped of is the option to not try anything different - which is an option that hasn't actually been stripped at all! Because best thing about DA is, everyone is able to pick what they want and can still run the missions and simply be efficient and get on with it. They just won't get as many rewards for taking the easier route, which let's be honest is the real issue at hand: a lot of you want the same rewards without putting in the same effort. That's all it is.

That would require a lot more then just nerfs. An entire overhaul of enemy armor, damage, and status effects would need to be done. We can both probably agree that won't happen any time soon. Anyways I'm getting completely off topic so I'll stop here.

Overhauls of that scale have happened many times before already :) What version of damage are we on? 3.0? Armor got tweaked with the S-curve years back. It's nothing new.

You completely forgot about the existence of Hijack and Assault. Both of which only have 2 and 1 tiles respectively dedicated to them.

More Assaults would be interesting and welcome.

I kind of tuck Hijack away as a variant of Defense. It's Defense, but the pod drives along a path. Maybe Hijack as a whole should be revisited, like hijacking a Grineer train or something and you fight along it to do whatever. We have parts of this in Railjack with the Corpus cargo ship POI and the Grineer crewship objective.

It doesn't need to though. I don't have the answers but there has to be a better way to create an end game then resorting to randomized gear, damage attenuation, and invulnerability windows.

The better way is tighter game balance. That's the answer. It's not some big mystery, if you want to make a challenge for your players you need to know what your players are capable of. When the players are random and undefined so is the challenge.

  7. Dunno about hate, but there are a lot of old ones that could use some TLC.

Capture. Am I crazy or did we used to have Capture missions with multiple targets? Like back in 2013. I know there was a time when they didn't just sit around the next room over fingering themselves while we catch up, they booked it. Bring that back. Capture them or lose.

Spy with a 4th vault, give that 4th guy something to do. And don't always spawn joining players on the host's position which is almost surely going to be inside an active vault.

Mobile Defense where the timer reduces by a small amount by completing literally any task that isn't sitting around waiting for the timer.

All non-endless missions should have small optional secondary objectives, like a single Spy Vault in an Exterminate or a Capture target found during a Rescue. Do the objective, get a second mission reward roll.

I'm not sure what should be done with Interception, but when you really break it down it's just a game of shoot-the-guy-on-the-console. You can ignore everything on the map and just kill the one guy pushing the button. Side objectives? Hacking puzzles? idk.

Defense could do with some more interesting objectives, whether that's things we're defending or characters like Chipper.

The reason is they have not been able to make a meaningful and compelling end game even after 11 years and are resorting to uninspired solutions.

And why haven't they been able to make meaningful and compelling endgame content without resorting to these solutions? What would need to change for them to be able to make this content? How can something be meaningful if it's instantly trivialized? The writing has been on the wall for a very long time. There's a reason we're proceeding in the direction we're going.

Adding more frame specific arcanes would be a huge pain in the butt of more balancing that only works one frame at a time plus the hassle of collecting 21 of each frame specific mod for 56 different warframes. And that's if there was only 1 per frame.

There doesn't need to be a Nyx Menticide and an Ash Menticide and a Rhino Menticide, the current Nyx Arcane helmet effects can stay with Nyx right where they are, and Ash with Ash and Rhino with Rhino, etc. It could be the same set of however many frame-specific Arcane Helmets there already that already take up an Arcane slot. The effects don't have to change, either, though it would make them a little more competitive with the Arcanes that are already far stronger.

or people that have some feeling like their "works has been invalidated".

Should those people get to keep a monopoly on these items? I have several, why am I one of the only ones allowed to have these? Doesn't it already feel bad for everyone already being left out? idk, I've never agreed with the idea that someone owning some rare thing entitles them to be the only one ever allowed to have it. Lato and Braton Vandal are good examples.

Surely DE can think of a better way to create an engaging end game

That requires good balance, and we've all seen how favorably certain voices in the community react to that. 🙄

Maybe instead of "surely DE can think of a better way", it's better to consider "surely there's a reason DE is thinking this way"?

If you keep your Christmas tree up all year, then your Christmas tree won't feel nearly as special once it's actually Christmas.

In Warframe, you can keep your Christmas tree up all year.

  12. Consider Kahl's garrison missions: weekly missions with optional weekly challenges that pay out a set number of Stock as they are completed. When you're done you visit Chipper and spend your Stock on whatever rewards you want.

The advantage here is that if you want to attempt to complete all of the challenges in one run, you can. If you want to split it up and make two runs, you can do that too. And you can pick whichever rewards you want to receive for your time and efforts. It's very flexible.

Now consider Deep Archimedea: weekly missions with optional weekly challenges that award Research Points as they are completed. When you're done your Research Points are "spent" on different rewards.

But there are two disadvantages. The first is that you have to do all of the challenges in one run to get the full payout, and there are many who do not like this whether it's due to the RNG or the difficulty. While the mode is intended to be difficult, there is already nothing stopping players who are having trouble from pairing up with a friend that can take no challenges and carry them through the mission. It just takes multiple runs for these players to trade off who carries and who gets carried. The second is that there is no agency over the rewards. Already done with Crescendo and Duplicate? Well too bad, here are some more! More Shards than you know what to do with? Well too bad, here are some more! It's very inflexible, and risks players spending effort on rewards they don't have a use for.

So what if instead of earning Research Points for completing weekly challenges, we just earn Research? You'd only be paid out once per week per challenge like you are for Kahl's garrison. You could then talk to Necraloid to spend that Research on whatever rewards or reward caches you want, with the same kind of weekly purchase limits for large purchases like Tau Shards or Legendary Arcanes like we've seen in other token shops.

This works better for people who are already enjoying the mode, because now they have more agency over their rewards. It also works better for people who aren't enjoying the mode, because it allows them to split up the RNG and challenges over multiple runs. For these players it will take longer, but it will also be more accessible. When the current alternative is these players being passively carried, I think giving them the option to participate at a lower level of challenge spread out over more time would be fair.

  13. We're making progress on that front, bunny brother! One pair of ears are now permanent. Hopefully this paves the way for the remaining few temporary seasonal cosmetics to be made permanent as well.

  14. tbf this is only a temporary problem: once you've maxed out the two Legendary Arcanes they'll be the worthless rewards clogging the drop table. Anyone that already grinded out those two Arcanes before EDA should still get something, yeah? So it's probably better that DE didn't follow through with this and included an evergreen like Taus, which should be useful drops for longer than the Arcanes.

  15. In the meantime, you can do a quick melee and it will skip the popups. Just know that if you're trying to do a Nightwave task to mine rare ores/gems you still need to wait for the item to pop up for it to credit that task because DE has tied that functionality to the UI.

The concept of difficulty in Warframe has now been warped to owning everything in the game, understanding how it all works, and having functional build for every single item in the game.

I think you have it backwards: more and more players nowadays own everything, understand how it all works, and can put together a functional build for every single item in the game. This is regardless of difficulty, it's just what many players look like these days. So the newest difficult mode accounting for the strong players who play at that level should be obvious, no? Or should the new challenge mode be made for players who don't understand how the game works and have trouble making builds for things?

    11 hours ago, ChaoticOrderly said:

2: Modifiers: This is the only real difficulty part but its has been exacerbated by RNG because not everything works in the game effectively and even then, have people seen all the modifiers??? There are some REAL bad ones but since we no longer have flexibility (except for people who have EA unlocked and earned the 37 RP reward to allow a singular flex slot), it's just even more artificial difficulty.

Will the "real bad ones" make the missions harder or easier? Remember - it's supposed to be difficult, not easy.

    11 hours ago, ChaoticOrderly said:

1: RNG. This is not difficulty. This is an artificial limitation that only serves to pretend that it is. It's possible to roll things you do not own or even have builds for (reminder, endgame should not be owning everything). Duviri, while being RNG, has decrees to back up lackluster frames/weapons and weapons even have loaner builds (still no arcanes tho) and you can even reset choices by doing experience solo, do a fishing minigame (for bile mats), collect the decree and leave.

    ---

3: Gear: News Flash, not every frame or weapon is serviceable. Certain frames are better at certain mission types. Certain Weapons deal with certain mechanics more effectively. If you managed to build it that way congrats??? But not everyone has the same playstyle, so forcing people to mod and play more defensively, slowly, or play a frame they do not enjoy is never a good idea. The hugest saving grace is the you can use the Gear Wheel in this content so you can summon on call and Archgun (how is this the most consistent option) and you can also summon Necramech in the tileset itself (again, why is this the most consistent option) but as soon as that Gear Wheel Ban modifier comes up...

If you could use whatever gear you wanted, would that make the mission harder or easier? Remember - it's supposed to be difficult, not easy.

And you don't have to use RNG gear. You can do everything with your preferred builds. Just ignore the RNG. It's going to make the missions easier - but that's what you're asking for. And you're going to get paid less compared to people who choose to make things harder - but why should you be paid the same as someone who puts in more effort? And since everything that drops in this mode also drops in Netracells, if you don't like it you can always keep doing those instead. You might not get the same amount of rewards per week, but you're also doing less to get them.

Endgame should be defined by having the player push its arsenal to it's limit (see #3 for why that isn't the case sometimes)

But it also shouldn't ask you to explore that arsenal? How can you push your arsenal to its limits when you only play with a handful of things? What about the rest of your arsenal?

As for the rest, well, this mode does that. You will do better if you coordinate roles with your squad and if you don't pay attention you can lose. If everyone was running the mode without the optional RNG equipment they'd just steamroll it like they do everything else, no one would pay attention, and no one would coordinate. The gear RNG is all that's encouraging people to not play like the mindless one man armies you see everywhere else in the game.

    Embrace the chaos. It's fun!
