  1. Okay I switched to my offhand and got 28 head shots. Even though when I got a head shot it was doing 100 dmg, which I lost count at over 50. They weren't yellow either, just blue floating text saying 100. Scoreboard says like 58 kills, 28 head shots. Yet I was getting like 5 headshots per kill on the sniper guys.

  2. I really can't get over how horrible head shot detection is. Even when Corpus are shock stunned, and I'm 10 feet away shooting them 20 times in the head. I finished that round with 81 kills.......1 head shot..................ONE HEAD SHOT.

Every shot I make is a head shot. Is it because they have shields and the shot that kills them just happens to not be a head shot?

Using the standard MK1 rifle with 66% accuracy btw.

Is the head shot detection bounding box like 1 cubic inch? Do I have to shoot them in the face? Do Corpus not have heads?

If that's the case then what has a "head"?

  3. I absolutely agree on all of it. Especially the broken jumping, pressing the jump key should cancel the current animation and jump, that would go a long way to making the game feel good, right now it feels as if I'm queuing up commands for my guy to execute, which is kinda horrible.

Also press and hold the sprint key, do a crouch slide and don't release the sprint key the whole time; you'll notice that your character stops sprinting even if you are still holding down the sprint key. Annoying.

Same with the reloading I think, if you just hold down the fire key while reloading, once you are done reloading you aren't shooting, you have to let go of fire then press it again.

  4. That topic may sound confusing but it's really not. I like this game a lot so far, it has tons of potential. I have some issues with the parkour elements, but those have already been addressed in another thread. What I would like to bring up is persistent keys.

For example, press and hold Shift while running. The jump and press Crouch so you do a flying kick. Don't let go of Shift the whole time. Now in normal games what happens is that once your are done your animation the character should transition back into a normal run animation because I'm still holding shift.

However that doesn't happen, I walk at normal speed. It's not until I let go of Shift, then press it again that the game recognizes that Shift is being pressed.

That's really bad. Especially in hectic fire/melee fights, when you need to run in, kick someone down and run away. Same thing with the Crouch key. If I run, + jump then crouch, I do the flying kick. If I continue to hold Crouch, I should be crouching, but I have to let up on Crouch then press it again.

Same with the transition from shooting to melee to back to zoom+shooting.

Shoot at something, then melee attack. The whole time, hold down Shoot button and Zoom button. Once the melee attack is done, you will transition back to the zoomed view but you won't be shooting. Again you have to let go of Shoot and press it again.

Please fix this ASAP, it's a huge barrier to enjoyment of this game and makes it needlessly frustrating. For a good idea of decent games with these mechanics, go play Mirror's Edge and maybe Oni.

Also some key frame interpolation would be nice to smoothly transition from say a crouch roll into a vertical jump. As it is the animation needs to completely finish before you can jump.

Freedom of movement and movement decisions is amazing when done well. I should be able to transition into a jump while rolling at any point during the roll. The same goes for other transitions as well. You will get much more varied fight sequences.

As it is it's more like issuing instructions to a computer and waiting for it to complete each one in sequence before doing another.

If you could do these things well, and I have no doubt you can do it, then I would pay for this game. Hell I'll even donate 60$. I still play games like Mirror's Edge because the movement is so fluid and nice. That game had it's flaws but I loved it regardless and have purchased it 3 times now (stupid EA restrictions).

    Thank you.
