Well, notice where it was posted? On REDDIT (even saying that it had so much great feedback THERE, on reddit). They don't listen much to the official forums anymore, apparently.

What if someone was to create a Reddit post that just linked to this mega thread?

The thing that irks me most about Volt if the fact that he doesn't have one of the highest base sprint speeds.

What is the logic behind this?

I guess that DE assumed that Speed would make up for his slow sprint speed, but they forgot that it makes everyone faster, not just Volt.

  3. Not that this really matters, but I ended up getting Volt's deluxe skin pack (I traded for the plat to buy it if that makes a difference) and I can't say I hate it. It can be a tad bit hard to color, but stick on Nidus' noble animation and you're pretty much good to go. I honestly really expected to hate it, and I did before I got it, but I kinda like it now. The hammer skin is pretty trash though.

I do understand what you're saying, but looking at how things work in a general manner, those 4 Frames are broken... They do so much with so little effort that toning them down is more of a fix then a nerf...

Since we already crossed the power creep ladder by leaps and bounds, I'd rather have them fixed first, then proceed to re-reworking Frames such as Volt.

So, when those 4 are "fixed", what happens to the frames that become more powerful than them as a result? Are they then "fixed"? At what point does power-creep reversal stop? When is it safe to say that a frame is balanced? And if the frame is balanced, what is it balanced in reference too? Is it balanced in reference to Zephyr? Is it balanced in reference to Loki? Reversing power-creep is just as slippery a slope as power-creep itself, let's just focus on making Volt better.

Telling DE that something you imagine would be easy to do for them, in their game, with a budget and deadlines is a quick way to make any suggestion invisible.

Any 1 mod on a weapon or frame going into a game is now an X rank mod currently at Y rank. Not a whole lot of info added, but more checks are then needed. More potential holes to look for. It's that much more data to deal with multiplied by every existing player and every potential new player.

Again, dial back the sense of superiority you seem to have over the people making the game you play. Your feelings don't really mean much.

Dude, all he said was that he personally didn't know what issues could arrive from making that change and that it'd be a nice addition. Chill bro.

  6. I don't have much to say beyond what the commenters before me have said (removing the damage cap), but, in my own opinion, making range a more necessary stat on Volt ala his one, isn't that good of an idea. Power range and Volt go together like oil and water. The only only other thing I disagree with is the shooting projectiles (or I think it's only projectiles) through Electric Shield costs additional energy. If it only costed energy when shooting through all 6 shields, that'd be understandable, but even then 300 is a very large amount of energy to lose at base. Also, because Discharge moves out in a wave much like Nova's 4, you'd think it'd scale off of duration, but that's more so a QoL change than anything. Everything else though, I agree with.

I must praise the ugliness of this skin, really it fully missess all the elements that make Volt recognizable to the point of being a completely different unit/frame... the way it was made asymmetrical reminds me more of artwork from chtulutech than anything warframe related.

Maibe after texturing it won't be that bad.

So far most frames have been always subtly asymmetrical but this concept really overdoes it

If it makes it seem any better, I've heard from people that it's supposed to be inspired by Frankenstein's monster, what with the monster-like appearance and metal conductors sticking out of the neck. If this is the case, at least DE got the electricity part right. Unfortunately, it didn't get much else right though.

yeah, volt totally needs glass textures because... um... glass is famous for conducting electricity? hm.

i think that deluxe skin looks ok, certainly quite an unorthodox take on the theme.

It's not so much that the skin is bad, it just doesn't look like Volt. If it was a deluxe skin for Nidus or maybe Nekros, it wouldn't be so bad. Also, about me saying that the skin makes Nova's deluxe look good, that was just me being dramatic. I actually really like Nova's, it's just that the helmet is pretty ugly.

@GeometricBisonmy issue is the lack of balance here. i dont have any slightest issue with not getting kills or whatever.

Balance, in Warframe's terms, is more or less dependent on how many things you can kill within a very short amount of time. That's why the Tonkor was nerfed, that's why the Synoid Simulor was nerfed, that's why the Telos Boltace was nerfed, that's why Ash's Bladestorm was nerfed, and that's why Excal's Exalted Blade was nerfed. Are you saying that C.O. kills a mass amount of things at once or in a very short period of time? Because if it does, you should tell me how.

@GeometricBisonit wont stop from others using it wouldnt it?

Dude, if people are killing enemies with melee weapons faster than you can with guns, C.O. might not be the issue. If people are killing enemies with melee weapons faster than you can with melee weapons, either get to the enemies faster or spread out from your squad a bit more. Also, please correct me if I'm wrong because I'd love to be wrong about this, but is your argument that you want people to kill enemies slower? Because if it is, just play solo or something.

  11. Why do you guys think that when a frame gets a rework, DE just decides that the frame is good where it is? Like, they don't listen to the community feedback and tweak some stuff accordingly, they just sort of hit it and quit it. The only time I can think of when they didn't do that was with Oberon, and he turned out much much better, so you'd think they'd have done it from the very beginning.
