  1. The burning question on my mind is why does this need to be addressed at all? Quite frankly, It is the poor Tenno who is sadly unaware that platinum could even be 'bad' platinum to begin with that I feel for most.

Honestly, just place the account who made the bad payment on a temporary lock until they pay the amount for the platinum that was promised.

  2. This boils down to the same old ‘I play on public and don’t like playing on public because *insert reason* so instead of not playing on public, I’m going to demand that Public be changed’

I mean, I agree it’s a bit of an eyeroller when Billy Nomates rocks up with his unranked Lenz but I’m not going to expect anything more or less from public. Wouldn’t go to Glastonbury and start demanding they play my music. 🙂

  4. Hey Kylestien, Welcome to Warframe!

So long story short, take your time, have fun with it. Some things seem much more complicated than they are but here goes.

Mods- You put these on your warframe and weapons etc. You get them through playing missions on your navigation. At first you'll only have Earth to play on but there is still mods to get here. There's a lot and as you play through you'll get more of an idea of what to use for what purpose. There are sites with 'Builds' on for gear that you can check out and get more of an idea of what you may be after, but some of these builds may require mods that are found later in the game.

Missions- Different types of missions give different rewards, there's a Wiki you can check out if you're looking for something particular, but to start with, give them a playthrough and see what you get- You'll build up your collection of 'resources' needed to craft new weapons and frames for mastery (more later), Different planets have different resources, you can see which planet has which resource by hovering over the circle on the lower right of the navigation screen when zoomed into a planet. It'll provide a list of resources found there. As said, at first you will only have Earth to play on.You'll notice two 'nodes' at the top and bottom of this planet. The 'Mars Junction' and the 'Venus Junction'. If you move your selection to these you'll get a list with different tasks on them. Complete these and then go to the junction to unlock a new planet. You'll have a nasty to fight at each junction. Each junction also gives you rewards in weapon blueprints, mods, quests and so on.

Mastery- How you level up in warframe is kind've two fold. You have equipment levels and your overall mastery rank. When you level a weapon, warframe, sentinel/Kubrow/Kavat (pets) for the first time, You'll get 'Mastery' towards your overall level. In order to keep achieving Mastery you need to rank more and more -NEW- gear. (Gear you haven't previously levelled to max) E.g: If you level Volt to max rank (30) you'll have gotten all the Mastery from that warframe, to get more mastery from warframes you'll need to build a new one (E.g: Excalibur) and level that to 30. You can get blueprints for the components to each warframe from bosses on planets and through quests and even in a clan dojo!

Social- You get the occasional memekid who thinks the best way to articulate a point is to mindlessly bark a phrase at you buuuut, for the most part Warframe has an excellent community. You should have no problems finding help in-game or even a clan that leans more towards helping new players but if you have any specific queries, forums are full of info and you can always ask.

  5. Siiiiiiimmmmply put, I've been getting this bug for the last couple of weeks, which is more a nuisance than anything game-breaking.

Scenario: Papa Umbra is kicking it in the Kuva Fortress with his Twin Kohmaks, Betty White and Bob Ross. Betty's running a little low on the go-go juice and poor ol' Bob Ross is right behind her. Giggidy. When they're completely out they enter a 'Schrodinger's Reload' where, until observed they may or may not actually reload. On the instances that they don't get their fix, Captain Spanky the Prisma Skana appears in my hands at an awkward angle and seemingly through Bob Ross. Much to everyone's horror. They don't reload when prompted to with 'R' and the ONLY way to circumnavigate this disaster is to holster Betty White and Bob Ross and give them a pull back out. Now, it is not just the Kohmaks, it's seemingly every weapon with a proclivity to throw lead.

Any help would be much appreciated

    My Loadout is as follows;

Zephyr (Bug occurs regardless of fleshpuppet)

Argonak (Bug occurs regardless of Primary boomstick excl. Bows)

Twin Kohmak (Bug occurs regardless of Secondary Hand boomsticks)

Prisma Skana (I mean, It's kinda fun to use)

    Rosie O'Donnell the Carrier Prime.

Only occurs when clip is depleted and seems to be 50/50 as to whether they reload even then, If I reload before then- Seems fine.

Oh wow, finally a guy who knows what he is talking about, yes, thats the reason why warframe does not need so much auction house. And it is perfectly valid.

If a price of banshee prime set would reach 1p nobody would be picking it from loot table. Thats just how supply and demand curve works. If something is worthless, supply will start dropping out. Noone would bother selling prime set for so low if they could just pick some brown items or even forma blueprints since they would be worth more.

Read what i wrote above. As soon as the items becomes worthless people will stop supplying them -> price rises.

Wrong, market would still regulate prices as they are on current level. Add tax to it and median prices will rise. You actually got it the other way around. It is the supply and demand what drives prices. Not some illusionary barrier that doesn't even exist. The only inconvenience now is that you need to copy and paste from warframe.market, paste it to game and invite once he agrees.

I'll just throw this out there in reply to what you're saying- I whole-heartedly agree with you. Prices generally shift with supply and demand in a standard economy, However as I have tried to articulate in my earlier post, Warframe's economy isn't standard. As you know, Warframe's Mastery System is tied to how many warframes/weapons/sentinels etc you rank up to 30. Currently there are 44 tradeable Primes (not including Excalibur/Skana/Lato for obv reasons). Aside from vaulted primes, that immediately become more accessible under an auction house motif and whose supply is NOT immediately renewable until the next unvaulting, that would make demand extraordinarily high for those particular Primes and with no way to replenish supply until an unvaulting would make them scarce and ridiculously pricey. As for regular unvaulted Primes, as you say- IF there's a large enough amount of people trying to sell Banshee Prime, there will cease to be a demand for it, which isn't entirely true. Every player (by default all who haven't already owned and levelled Banshee Prime) Will at some-point want Banshee Prime and due to the nature of how Mastery works in the game, there will be a steady influx of people looking to buy it. Now people can stop wanting to sell it, sure, but what about the other 6 unvaulted frames? 6. Six. If you want to get technical and throw the weaponry and the one Sentinel in there too 27 (incl. Banshee) Primes. 27 UNVAULTED Primes that get a demand from hundreds and thousands of players a day, and the idea presented is to bundle them into a convenient auction house where anyone can instantaneously buy and sell them instead of the currently artificially inflated prices led by unregulated inconsistency. The only reason Warframe.Market works is that comparitively it's a small amount of the trading players that use it to sell, and even then, you get more plat in trade-chat most of the time selling there than you do on the Market because of the competitiveness of having a publicly available price leads to lower available prices.. Countless times I've been able to sell various random mods at 10-15plat a piece in Trade-chat, whereas they are currently 3-4plat on warframe.market. Auction House just would not work on a stable of so little items that are openly and equally acquirable, and for the ones that aren't, the vaulted gear the disparity between the prices of unvaulted gear and vaulted gear would be laughably huge.

  7. Warframe's economy really doesn't allow for a stable 'auction house' in game that wouldn't make trading worthless.

How a traditional MMO's economy handles player auctions is simple:

-In a standard MMORPG lets say the level cap is 100. Gear or items are generally given a 'minimum level' and this gear is typically found at the appropriate point in the game for the minimum level on the item. The higher the minimum level, the more of the playerbase is locked out from the item this adds a little (if any) intrinsic value to it.

-Then there's rarity, again there's rarer items available at each of the levels, the rarer items are generally (but not necessarily) better than common items and this makes some more valuable than others. In most MMORPGs there is some form of 'legendary' or 'elite' items which are typically highly sought after but equally rare or hard to acquire.

-Then of course there's the usefulness of the gear itself. Just because a high level rare item is harder to find, does not make it inherently better than another item. Generally stats have a random aspect to it or there is enough differing rare items at differing stages of the game to cater for different classes/playstyles

The above overlap to make a simple 'loot' system that allows for thousands and thousands of items of different rarity and levels, each of these items have a different value and players can post their gear in an auction house to sell. This generally works as there is a multitude of different options with different levels, rarities and stats that fit different players and whilst there is some competing for the best prices, there isn't an overabundance of one item allowing for prices to be still worth the time to post the gear.

Cut to warframe. Currently the prices of weapons and warframes, Arcanes, mods etc are all over the place. This is both a good and a bad thing. Yes. You have the dunce trying to get 200pl for a Valkyr Prime set but you also have Good Guy Greg trying to get a smooth 80 for his. This would not be the case if an in-game auction house was a thing. Warframe does not have (outside of Rivens) a roster of thousands of randomly generated gear that you can get lucky on or get worthless junk. In comparison its roster of tradeable goods is rather small.

It currently happens on Warframe.market The lowest price for Item A is 100plat. Well Timmy wants his platinum soon, he'll put his up for sale for 90 platinum. Now Warframe Market remains somewhat competitive as not everyone knows of it, and not everyone uses it to sell but what if everyone you see flying by in trade chat with a Ember Prime set for sale or a Maiming strike started putting theirs up on Auction Houses, each one trying to beat the others price. There is a set price clear as day that is the current 'best' price and it's naive to think that everyone would just hold on to their item until the lowest price on AH goes up to something atleast remotely worth it or just put theirs up for a higher price than the current lowest and wait until someone pays more than they have to for an item or that you could just match the lowest price and expect everyone else selling the same item to and wait for your lottery winnings. Best case scenario- Rivens become much easier to sell. Worst case scenario- There isn't nearly enough 'unique' items in the game, it'd be a hundred thousand people trying to sell a prime set, each trying to beat the other's price. Hello 1pl Banshee set.

  8. Disclaimer; As is, Oberon isn't a -BAD- frame. Just underwhelming in all of its given proclivities. What I suggest here ISN'T a complete overhaul, but exactly what the title says "Rework"

"Oberon was first constructed under the name Paladin" - Okay, let's do that.

    Health: 125
    Shield: 150
    Armor: 150
    Power: 150

    Ability 1: Smite
Works similarly to its current iteration, However- Instead of projectiles, I think, It should be an AOE blast that erupts from the affected target. (Think Energy Vampire, but one pulse that radiates enemies in a radius/damages) Make it all shiny and sparkly.

    Ability 2: Hallowed Ground

Works similarly to its current iteration, However- Instead of a naff Armor buff that makes no feasible gameplay. Change the shape and feel of it. (Maybe give it a circle of fairy-like growth, mushrooms/flowers etc) Make it circle and give it a range- Keep its radiation damage- With perhaps a bit of a buff, immune to status effects and removal of such. Finish it up with a life-steal for enemies that enter the Hallowed Ground. A percentage of damage done to enemies is split between allies in Hallowed Ground.

    Ability 3: Reckoning

Keep as is- This is similar to Excalibur's Javelin becoming its 3rd to make way for a new ability. Perhaps give it a damage buff if deemed necessary

    Ability 4: Nature's Bulwark

Oberon Summons a shield with which the player can (by holding down block) use the shield to draw enemy fire/attention (Think Guardian Derision) negating all damage
and draining energy with each hit the shield takes. Or bash a target with the shield for a set amount of energy- which does a small amount of impact damage and knocks the affected enemies down.
