  1. This sounds good to me.

I have 15 interesting Rivens right now that I don't want to sell off/destroy, so now I am reluctant to even complete the third sortie... I like to save it for right after reset so that it rewards 200k credits (with booster).

Other than Kuva, credits are really the only resource that I have to farm for constantly, despite spending hard-earned platinum to have 100% uptime on credit boosters since I switched to pc from console. And yes, I am actually trading for this platinum, so selling a Nekros set for instance, costs about 100k credits just to make the exchange.

Not optimizing credit gains feels like a waste, thus my compulsion to save the sortie (completing it is roughly equal to spending 16 minutes doing Hieracon speedruns; a full quarter-hour *not* farming).

And so it follows that after reset, I end up having my character just standing in the ship because I don't want to waste the 4x credit multiplier, all  the while I cannot in my right mind do the sortie, because I don't want to sell off these mods or just discard a veiled one (one of the most coveted items right now).

Because leveling the mods to experience their effects requires a moderately large commitment of Endo, and more importantly credits, the process to actually experiment with what I have is slow, and the mods queue up. Why in the hell would I get rid of something that I haven't even gotten to test out yet?

Like many have suggested, this has lead to me only focusing on the mods for my favorite weapons, and not even necessarily to make the overpowered.

In many ways, chancing upon a "creative" stat combination is just as rare as rolling a godly one. I am not going to 'get creative' with a mod that doubles my fire rate and reload speed if it reduces my damage by 90% too.

I completed sortie 3 for the credits just yesterday, feeling a sense of dread the whole time, and guess what? I was forced to scrap a veiled mod, for which I received a 28 Endo recompense.

This limit is not forcing me to 'express my creativity', or whatever the token phrase is now, but is actually pushing me away from the game instead.

  2. It was pretty fun, though I felt that the critical chance without further improvement from a Riven leaves it a little low.

The base damage/elemental Riven it was compared to seemed to have a far more significant effect.

I will definitely jump at the opportunity to get a good mod with multishot though, if nothing else than for the chaos of spawning over a dozen bomblets per cannonball

Free markets all good in real life.

I have to disagree with this (to a degree). It is clear that regulation is required IRL; the attrition of those with less power or ability simply takes on a different, less noticeable form.

In the game, well, I don't know. The trading system is as it is, and rules cannot be bent or broken by the participants--unlike in the real world (lobbying, predatory lending, oligarchy, other bullsh*t). People can shortcut and buy mods that overcharge their best weapons, but they cannot technically use this ability to subjugate those who choose not to.

In the game, spending a lot of platinum on any given item does not put the player's life at risk, and they can walk away at any time. One could put in a hundred dollars or so to buy platinum, a thousand perhaps. But if this act is actually beyond their means, then they must seek treatment in the real world--as there are other places that will take advantage of such behavior with far more malice. If you know someone in this situation, you should reach out to them.

There have always been people posting outrageous prices in trade chat. We see these posts being repeated so much due to the fact that no one is buying from them. If I see someone trying to sell a list of junk for like 2 sigma over the average, I simply block them because even haggling will probably not produce a nearly-reasonable result. You will often sell sets in trade chat for 20-30p over the .market best price, and it is due perhaps to a matter of convenience or otherwise. Not really different from paying for a first-class seat on an airplane.

I had this one kid yelling at me in all caps over the price of Trinity Prime two weeks ago (he wanted to trade it for a Nekros that I farmed, even though I always list a price in the post; a price that is reasonable). I told him .market sellers were selling it for 40-50p and in response I get "NO ITS NOT!" I say "Seriously? Go look." I had to /Ignore him, I'm not making that price up, it's a cold, hard, checkable fact. There is no reasoning with this type, but they will continue to exist nonetheless, whether they are too self-important or simply lack the faculties to know otherwise.

This is more annoying than a chat price that is easily ignored in a market (Rivens specifically) that is in a state of unknown reasonable prices.

I am already pretty annoyed about the 15 mod limit, and I believe that imposing an arbitrary price cap would be way out of line, especially when people already make 20-30k platinum offers for Primed Chamber.

(To be clear, I am advocating no arbitrary price cap on trade values.)

I would personally love to see an auction house, at least just for Riven mods. The problem is that such a thing doesn't freely exist on the web at this time. I believe that it is only a matter of time before a fansite introduces such a feature, and DE probably know this. For example some benevolent scholar already wrote a script that allows you to add custom [riven] mods to warframe.builder.

It would be very nice to have their trading system act as the arbitrator, though. It would make matters so much easier.

  4. Just encountered this bug in sortie 2 (Spy). Upon entering operator mode, I was unable to void dash to destroy the Kuva clouds. Extremely frustrating. The only other time I encountered a Siphon on the sea lab tileset was the one where the clouds would spawn underneath the platform and then reach the siphon within 1-2 seconds by passing through the walls. Needless to say, it seems the sea lab still has some problems. 2/2

I'm not one of those people who is very outspoken about the operator mode farm; I do get it though. It is a different modality than everyone is used to; I am still not sure that I like the idea of playing Warframe outside of the Warframes, but I would be okay with it if it was reliable.

I recently wrote down my results after a 2 hour session of running capture to find siphons, and even though I found a siphon about 42% of the time, ~40% of the ones that showed up were outright broken and impossible to complete. Considering the booster that I bought just to acquire more Kuva, this is thousands and thousands (literally) of Kuva lost, and that is not okay.

As an added bonus, I took too long looking for a solution and writing this post, so I failed the sortie in the room containing the final vault.

I had a thought when looking at the mission again, the condition is energy restriction, so I would bet that an oversight has caused the energy reduction to affect the void energy... or whatever it's called

  5. I heard a rumour today that Charm's effect no longer applies to kuva rewards, can someone confirm or deny this? I have only gotten charm at the right time once in about 20 runs that had siphons so it's hard to test.

  7. There are reports of Mastery tests being broken all over the place, at many of the mid-high levels. Sometimes, the OP will come back to say that the test worked for them for whatever reason on the next attempt. If anyone knows of some way trick the game into running the mission correctly, I would be extremely grateful for your input. Optimizing the cache from the launcher, as one poster suggested, did not work for me yesterday.

    Thanks!

  8. Adapted from my support ticket (no news so far).

When I enter the test (to rank up from MR14 to MR15), no enemies spawn, and no progress can be made despite [apparently; see below] controlling all three interception nodes.

Everything looks normal until I move forward to capture the first point--no text or HUD indicator appears to show that the point is being captured. The only indicators are the "Capture +###" affinity popup text, and the hexagonal minimap markers turning blue. Each of the letters (in the (A) (B) (C) list that sits directly adjacent to the minimap) stays white though, and the progress stays at "Tenno 0% Opponent 0%", apparently forever.

This is my second attempt to complete this test; it failed in the exact same way yesterday. Before, after I noticed no progress was being made, I jumped off in an attempt to have the level reset, but my character was stuck falling forever under the map, and /unstuck did not work. After this, I was forced to disconnect, and I was locked out of the test for 24 hours.

Yesterday, I thought the problem may have been due to the fact that I launched the (official) test from the booth in Simaris' area in the relay, but I launched the test from the orbiter today and faced the same result. Interestingly, I successfully completed the 'practice' version of the test from the relay immediately before my 'official' attempt (yesterday).

Please advise. I am anxious to move to the next mastery rank, as several Rivens I have collected for experimentation require MR15 to equip.

I saw no mention of mastery test fixes in the hotfix 19.0.5 notes. I am reluctant to simply try again, because I don't want to be locked out for another 24 hours (third time).

  9. MR14 --> MR15 test (3-zone interception mission) is also bugged and impossible to complete for me. Strangely the practice test in Simaris' hallway was fully functional. Looking in the bugs forum, there is a post for just about every mastery test being broken in some way. Progress stays at 0, no HUD capturing display. Jumping off results in perma-death with no reset and no /unstuck support. When you quit you get locked out for 24 hours. Have been locked out two times so far because of this bug (I really kind of need this test so that I can use some particular Rivens). Unfortunately looks like the patch notes say nothing about fixes to bugged mastery tests.

  10. I am having trouble with this one too--a LOT. It is definitely a bug, because I had it happen to me when I ran one solo... At first I thought it was tied to a player joining as the Kuva 'event' started, but it now appears to be completely random. One even hung after we destroyed the first braid.

Of the 15 Siphon spawns in 39 runs, 6 of them (40%) were impossible to complete.

Are you sure the value for iteration number 9 is correct? All of the other figures match up for the function =MROUND(100*(iteration-1)^1.5+900,50) except for number 9, which gets rounded to 3150 when rounding to the nearest multiple of 50 as in that function.

Maybe I did something wrong, though

  13.  have had the exact same problem, and just opened a ticket because of this issue. This is my second attempt on the 'real' test that has broken, yet the practice test worked without issue yesterday.

Your post has described my own experience pretty much point-by-point.

When I jumped off yesterday, hoping to reset the level, my character was stuck falling/below the map/glitched, and /unstuck was not able to fix it.

I am still sitting in the mission (about 36 minutes now) because I don't want to force a disconnect and be locked out for 24 more hours...

    ---

Jumped off of the edge after letting it sit for quite some time. My character ended up permanently splattered at the bottom, red around the edges of the screen as I had died from the fall or was constantly taking critical damage. I was forced to abort the test.

Some parts clearly originate from a real, related word (Toxi, Tox, Igni, Crita, Pura), others are from real words that aren't necessarily directly related (Magna, Arma) and for the others' origins, I have only vague ideas or none at all.

I just assumed that were the Grineer lisped-pronunciations of the various effects. Consider the following trivium from the Nitain page on the wiki:

    Trivia

    • The description of harvesting Nitain is based from the method of recycling greenhouse compounds from germinated colonies underwater as another source of fuel, specifically Methane.
      • Because of this, it is possible that Nitain is in fact Methane, with its name being bastardised by the Grineer's lisp.

    - Riven Mods now have more information available after they have been Cycled and Unveiled so more can be deduced at a glance. This includes Mastery Rank and Item compatibility, as well as how many Cycles have occurred of a given Riven.

The number of cycles on a mod do not appear to be visible on Rivens linked through the chat via [Riven Mod].

Please, PLEASE make it visible there too.

Most people have already decided on their prices by the time they reach the trading window. While the feature--as it stands--does prevent you from getting scammed wholesale, it is still an inconvenience to not be able to see what someone is actually offering during the negotiation process.

I was actually mislead, to a degree, on my first purchase after the patch. I thought I was buying a 'mint condition' Ignis trash mod for 150p, but when it popped up in the window, it displayed a "1 ". This turned out okay in this instance, since it was only cycled once, but I would have certainly offered a bit less had I known.

'Riven Disposition' is the way in which power level of Mods is attuned to the weapon it is generated for. Mastery Rank and Stats will factor into this attunement, so you can expect to see more powerful Rivens for less used weapons and vice versa.

This modification will also affect existing Riven Mods to reflect our desire to give new life to ‘discarded’ weapons in a unique way, and not increase the power of the top tier ones. Prepare to see a difference in stats of existing Riven Mods in an upcoming hotfix.

Okay, so does this mean that people should immediately stop trying to acquire Riven mods with good stats, since they are going to be retroactively changed? I have only purchased some veiled ones so far to see what I would get. But there are people out there who have been spending THOUSANDS--and I mean multiple thousands per--of platinum to acquire extremely powerful mods for the most popular and powerful weapons (Simulor, Tonkor, Soma, Dread). This has me worried, even as a person who has only invested about 100p in the Riven Lottery. Are you saying that you guys are going to be able to handle the blowback from the retroactive changing of mods that people have payed the equivalent of hundreds of dollars in legal tender for?

 Small chance drop is Riven mod -

 Mod effects to be of good types -

 Good magnitudes on the effects.

The chance of getting what you want becomes a statistical impossibility, particularly in thanks to the differing magnitudes. Even ignoring the magnitudes, and dividing several times by a number of acceptable combinations/weapons leaves one with astronomical odds. This is actually the exact reason I quit Destiny after over 1700 hours -- and the items there make far less an impact on your performance.

e: Granted, Riven aren't the whole of Warframe. However, being the only area of truly random variety (items) in the game, it is still going to be the only thing a lot of people are going to think about. Despite my initial dissatisfaction, it is exciting that something has broken the status quo of modding, and I have bought four Veiled mods from other players--which were not cheap.

I don't know, it is just a surprising move, in my opinion

Removed the "Kill Sentients without raising alarms" Unveil challenge due to impossibility with the way Lua mission spawning works. Challenge complications will be updated retroactively, in this case, the removed challenge will simply become "Kill Sentients".

I am not sure that I understand this. It wasn't impossible; I was working on this challenge last night, and was at 4/5 by killing the two Sentients to spawn in at the beginning of the invasion (or Crossfire, whatever it's called) node on Lua. I simply didn't have enough time to run it to get the final kill last night.
