  1. Do Grinders still exist? After the Valentines Day update it seemed to me at least that they've been replaced by Seekers, who deploy balls that look a lot like Grinders but instead latch on to you and explode and these die from one hit :/ Or maybe i just haven't encountered Grinders yet after the update?

  2. Seconded.

Though i'm fortunate enough to never have had lost a bp due to flying loot (mostly because i don't farm bosses much), I've had enough experience of watching normal loot from goons go flying everywhere, whether it be into a chasm and thus unrecoverable, or stumbling upon a mod nowhere near where i killed enemies. I can only imagine the despair of watching a bp after farming a boss 20 times go flying away into unrecovery.

Also i would love if resources were more noticeable. Mods are reasonably easy enough to spot, same for bps since they're a big white orb, but some resources are pretty hard to notice considering how small they are. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to give resources and other loot drops particle effects or a glow effect to make them more noticeable.

Please let a dev see this thread.

  3. Laser doors aren't problems if you listen for cameras :/ However, I've had experiences before of having a laser door activate and i couldn't find the offending camera for some reason. I had to walk off and wait a long time before the laser door stopped, and it turned out that a camera in the next room, which was a large room, had spotted me from across the room and activated the gate. The camera was far enough away that i couldn't hear it nor notice it visually during that time. Quite a rare occurence, but it would be nice if cameras had a sight range to prevent these long-range "voyeur" cameras from wasting people's time, or let you roll/slide past a laser gate :/ The later would also solve the multiplayer problem discussed by Cavafy and Bearly above.

  4. Electricity attack? I met two Seekers today on an Earth mission and all they did was deploy the new grinders at me or shoot my face off with the Kraken (yes that's the weapon they're using). Maybe it was just luck and they didn't use it on me, or maybe it got changed already? i dunno :x the Electrolling sounds like a bug though

  5. Theory: The Tenno can be sealed into vent grates in a form of stasis for easy transport. They are then given to spies and sympathisers placed among the ranks of Grineer or Corpus who secretly install the grates on the ships (sometimes these spies are captured, hence the Rescue missions). When the time is right, an un-manned ship is sent to awaken them from stasis, thus releasing them from the grate and starting the mission.

  6. Actually i've had a few issues with enemy spawning, if that's what he's referring to. Many times i just cleared a room, I leave it for 30 seconds and encounter a large horde in the next room, thus i try to retreat to the room that i just cleared, only to find that it now has more enemies than BEFORE i cleared it. And then i die. Note that a few times that room i cleared had no other available exits or entrances, yet suddenly spawned so many enemies. That is just ILLOGICAL.

Oh and one time i had Grineers spawning on-screen. They just materialized in front of me. Repeatedly. This is not lag-related, i was on solo. I don't mind enemy respawning in some cleared rooms after i complete an objective, but at least keep it as at least 2 rooms away from where i currently am! Otherwise it's just really really cheap and frustrating.

  7. I'd have to agree, i'm getting pretty sick of the game, though not completely for grindy reasons.

While i don't have much to say on blueprint grinding since i doubt i'll ever switch from my Volt, the one grind feature i do really hate is the Mastery Rank system. For a long while i didn't know how to raise the Mastery Rank. I had every single planet unlocked and had beaten 5 of the bosses, my Volt was level 30 and all 3 of my weapons (not the starters) were 20+, and yet my Rank is just 2? And then i found out the Rank raises not by exp but by leveling warframes and weapons.....Why? This practically forces you to use weapons that you do not want to use, or buy multiple instances of the same weapon just to get more Rank. That's just stupid. And worse, the Gorgon and the Hek, rank 3 and rank 4 required respectively, are almost objectively the best primary weapons in the game. It's not just an alternative or a side-grade, it's a direct upgrade from things like the Braton, or Strun, and thus you are obligated to farm for those mastery ranks, and you are forced to switch away from your favourite weapons or even your main warframe and use something that you are not interested in at all. And once you do unlock Gorgon/Hek, they'll replace your current weapons anyway by being simply better. All those hours leveling different weapons and restarting from level 1 repeatedly simply lead up to acquiring the Gorgon and the Hek, and then you have to level those two up again from scratch. That's just lazy design.

Quite frankly the Mastery Rank system should be based on exp/kills and not level ups, like what Archade said. Then at least you can just stick to your favourite loadout and not have to worry about wasting xp or intentionally farming levels for a bad weapon.

  8. Playing against the Infested is a complete nightmare in general.

First off, the regular minions. A horde of runners coming your way. All it takes is ONE runner to reach you and explode, and you'll be stunned long enough for a chain reaction where the entire remaining horde of runners can also explode on you and there's no way of dodging it once you're stunned initially. The new chargers can be even worse. With almost twice the health of runners and leapers (based on the amount of shotgun blasts i needed to kill one), almost every hit from them results in a stagger, resulting in yet another stun-lock. Put a leaper into the mix, and you'll be knocked down and immobilized for even longer since it's not exactly easy to shoot one when you're surrounded by and trying to deal with a dozen chargers.

And then there's the Ancients. Ancient Disruptors, as already said in this thread, not only can take away all of your shields and energy in ONE HIT, they can also stagger-lock you, and has more health than a Grineer Heavy. Combine their shield zap with a horde and you're immediately dead. Secondly, the Toxic Ancient, which is completely melee-proof, and just allowing one to get close to you for even a second immediately takes away, like, 20 hp or something, regardless of shields or armour. And on defense missions, all one of those has to do is STAND THERE and do nothing and the cryopod just starts dying. And their spawn rate can be rediculous. The highest amounts i remember for Ancients, not on a defense mission mind, was a consecutive 8 Disruptors or 4 Toxics, or a combination of the two as well as Healers for a total of about 5 Ancients at once. One is not too big a problem. Two i can still deal with. Three even if it's just Healers. But as many as 4+ at once and its just wrong. Yes I know freeze damage mods make them a lot easier to deal with, but that's just in case there's one or at most two, and there're no other mooks present. And yes i know melee attacks can stun-lock them back, but again that only works for 1 or 2 ancients at once. And why doesn't the Fragor stun them? I can topple them with a jump attack, but not even a charged swing makes them flinch. Bug?

Not to mention that fighting the Infested is just not rewarding at all. Despite the sheer amount of enemy spawns on Infested missions, i generally get less xp on an Infested mission than i would on a Grineer/Corpus mission that's several levels lower. Ancients have more annoying abilities and health than a Grineer Heavy, yet i get several times more xp from a Heavy than i would an Ancient. Oh and for whatever reason Ancients appear to be immune to my Volt's abilities, which makes things worse.

I would definately agree to a nerfing of Disruptors and Toxics, as well as their spawn rate. On the other hand the Healer is a little bit underpowered but that's another story. Also i would really prefer if they brought the old chargers back, and use the new chargers as a different type of tougher enemy that spawns less often, even if they get a buff for it.

  9. I LOVE what you did with the bosses! The buildup during the mission, opening cinematic and special arena rooms and stuff :D Really gets the tension and atmosphere up. Also the new grineer asteroid base looks beautiful :D

The buff to Hyena was a little excessive in my opinion though, that missile/bomb just does way too much damage :/
