Unless you're condensing the oxygen to make liquid oxygen...Pressure generally generates heat, actually... Making atoms bump and ricochet off each other, proximity making friction, etc...
That would solve shields being indifferent towards fire, and could explain why they're blue, but then they wouldn't be weak to cold damage. :(
EDIT: also, liquid oxygen might be easier to manipulate by magnetic fields compared to ionic oxygen.
EDIT2: Just did a quick bit of research on liquid oxygen and :
Except for the fact that liquid oxygen tends to be pretty nasty stuff
Mix it with anything remotely flammable and you've got yourself a bomb.
On the plus side, liquid oxygen is very magnetic, but shields are unlikely to be a layer of liquid oxygen.

Very interesting. What I'm wondering though: Why are shields slowly depleted and how and why does recharging them over and over again work?
With the 'oxygen shield' theory, shields would be slowly depleted because the oxygen in the shields would evaporate away into space.
Recharging them would simply draw in oxygen from the atmosphere and add it to the layer already around you.
The real question is: what do we have in our suits that can provide the energy for condensing oxygen and using it to deflect bullets?
-
The only problem I can see is that if you have a layer of super-dense oxygen, any fire or heat-based rounds would quickly flare up and become much more deadly.
Unless, of course, I'm being stupid and shields are weak to fire.

Nef anyo,
Because pew-pew dera vandal.

DE have already thought of that, and reduced the reward time to 23 hours not long after raids were introduced.

Mag. She'd be able to destroy everybody's shields while I rain down death from above with my zephyr.

As for my birthplace, Bahrain, I have no idea what to post, I haven't lived there since 2003.

Duration build Zephyr and a thunderbolt & fire rate build Attica.
Go to the huge corpus outpost defense map and rain explosive death down on everyone :D

Syndicates who you have negative standing with show blue progress bars instead of red:
-
The liset syndicate menu and end-of-mission standing tab show blue bars instead of red for enemy syndicates.
This bug was definitely caused by update 16.4.4, it was perfectly fine before the hotfix.

I'm 6'3".
Exactly one inch too tall too stand up in buses.
I hate bus ceilings.

The most important things to bear in mind when building your dojo are:
1:every room will need forma
2: if you build a barracks, the resource costs for everything will go up massively, so avoid it if your clan is just you and a friend
3: Remember to build connector hallways to all your rooms. When I first built my dojo, I had to deconstruct all of it because I created two dead ends.

As in warframe augments?
Brewing a storm
Cataclysm augment for limbo:
Turns his cataclysm into a massive cup of tea. Any enemies that survive it's scalding temperatures are mercilessly dunked in like biscuits. Britishness increased by +300%

Are there any tenno who are pacifists and refuse to slaughter enemies by the thousands? Do they deserve to be called tenno if they won't kill?
How vulnerable are the tenno-held solar rails that connect to dark sectors? Is there some form of automated security force, or is the reputation of the tenno fearsome enough to keep the corpus and grineer at bay?

Absolutely outstanding! :D

Before T4 keys were introduced, I was hosting a T3 survival. Some guy brought an unranked Loki, and I told him he had to bring a properly ranked frame. He kept arguing, claiming that he was skilled enough to do it. Eventually, I gave up and started the mission anyway, thinking that we'd have to leave after 5 mins.
However,
True to his word, he was an absolute god while playing, he only took damage three times during the 30 min mission, and got about a third of all the kills. With 75 health and shields. And only an unranked decoy power.
Although the arguing was annoying, that loki was an absolute legend.

I was tired and tried to type 'meteor'.
And thus ends the epic saga of my quest to find the true meaning behind my name.

I did this for the whole of the tutorial. The only time I used my weapon was the first time Vor appears (just after he shoots down the liset). He regenerates all his health and shield instantly, so I used melee on him until the combo counter could OHKO him.

I think yuikami got it perfectly:

Are there any peaceful, pacifistic tenno who reject slaughter by the thousands? Perhaps they build clan decorations? (My clan members certainly don't have the patience to build everything)

The corpus do seem to be pretty good with
ripping offreverse engineering orokin tech. They can build MOAs of all sorts, so using orokin shields as standard on all personnel doesn't seem out of the question.
