  1. Dangerous as in I don't find the conduits any more under threat than a typical mobile defense terminal.
  2. While I am not hearing impaired, I have basically always played the game at very low volume while listening to other audio and disruption has never once been difficult to figure out where the demolisher is coming from. It has had a visual indicator for years, originally where it was much more obvious like what we currently have, and then made much more subtle. Back when it became a much more subtle icon, people thought it was a bug as it only showed up at the edges of your screen when not looking in the direction of the demolisher. This old post shows an example of what the visual indicator has been for the last several years: If it is too hard to notice in the video, this is a screenshot of the indicator: It was admittedly very hard to notice when looking around as normal, but you could easily get a clear view of it by pointing the camera straight down at the floor. If you could hear the beeping, then the icon was available, you just needed to know how to get it to clearly show up. I spent a lot of my time in disruption solo, sitting on the conduit looking at the floor and could always tell where the demo was even if I could not always hear the beeping over whatever else I was listening to. Sure, playing in pubs allowed for people to run off in different directions to find it a couple seconds sooner but it never once felt dangerous.
  3. The entire time I have been experiencing the flickering has been without using any upscaling at all. It still happens if I turn it on but with no change in frequency of any of it. Have not managed to find any settings that do affect the frequency, just that it only happens with DX12 and not DX11.
  4. I did originally try the verify + optimization + clearing out those files around when this first started happening but did give it another go today. The menu flickering is still present but perhaps a bit less common. Can't really speak on the "flashbang" flickers as those were rare for me but I have not had one in a while. Did not seem to have any effect on the amount of black flickers though. I've tried looking at the logs to see if I could find anything that matches the timing and number of flickers when they occur but couldn't find any clues.
  5. Still happening for me too. Tried submitting a ticket for it but was told after following their recommendations to verify that it is not from problems with Windows corruption or Nvidia drivers that this is just something that can happen with Dx12 as it is still in beta. It is unfortunate that it has been going on so long as the game otherwise runs beautifully on Dx12.
  6. While yes it is still experimental, I have been using dx12 since it became an option with no problems whatsoever until this bit of flickering. I would say the game has run even better on dx12 for me than dx11 (excluding this recent flickering bug). Running the game on dx12 with enhanced really doesn't need a super powerful rig at all. The whole point of these forum posts is to notify DE that there is at least something going on and to try and provide as much info as we can as to help them figure out where the problem is.
  7. Still no idea what is causing it but managed to get a shot that might show a better idea of what happens during the black "flashes." Normal: Flash: Can still see Xaku and the UI but it is like all the lights have been turned off. It has been flickering more often for me since the update for tennocon/dog days. This particular instance had a few moments where it flickered around 4-5 times in quick succession all while just sitting at the menu but I wasn't able to catch that many when I tried to record it. I am also still getting the white flashbangs but they are very rare, and have not managed to get a screenshot like this to see if it behaves the same as the other flashes. I can somewhat ignore the mild UI flickering but it is getting a bit annoying with the game randomly deciding to blink/flashbang me all the time.
  8. Still happening as of 33.6.5. Out of ideas as to what is causing it. Happens with any combo of settings, both fully maxed out and absolute minimum. Verifying files or updating drivers does nothing.
  9. After the Echoes of Duviri update, the black flashes and UI flickering has returned to happening as much, if not more than, how often it was first happening with Kullervo's update. Especially when there are a lot of things on screen or I am in a menu like the modding screen or inbox.
  10. I updated my nvidia drivers to to studio driver 536.67 and the black flashes and UI flickers seem to at least be happening less often now. They are still happening, but I can go like 15-20 min between occurrences.
  11. Still happening as of 35.5.6 for me, though it feels like the UI flickering part may not be happening quite as much. The black flickering is still happening at pretty much the same rate.
  12. Still happening as of hotfix 33.5.5. Game flickered black pretty much right after logging in and still had random UI elements flickering.
  13. I posted in another topic about this exact thing but will add my support in here too. Using DX12 with enhanced renderer and the flashes started happening with the Kullervo update. It has not been fixed with any of the hotfixes. Took a video showing it is only Warframe that flickers, not anything else: Image showing that the UI remains visible when the black flashes occur: I've tried clearing cache, messing with in game settings, verifying and optimizing in the launcher, updating drivers and uninstalling and reinstalling Warframe. Nothing gets rid of the flickering when using DX12.
