  1. Ok thanks folks. As far as I understand then, the Level is purley an indicator and does not refer to a set and fixed level comparison. It refers to the individual enemies. the difficulty is the mission difficulty and the higher it gets the more "heavies" you can expect and probably a higher enemy count too, but this is all based on experience and is not set down by the Devs anywhere.

    Ok, thanks for that :)

  2. Hm, so the Level is just an indicator, or scale, on how hard the individual Enemy is likely be to kill. What is the highest level ? Is this a scale of 0-100? If I knew that 100 is the highest level, at least I would have an indication on what level 50 is.

As for the difficulty, still not sure what that means and it appears I am not the only one here who doesn't know :)

Thanks for the responses so far :)

  3. Its the enemies you will encounter. They are that level.

I realise its the enemies I will encounter, but what is level 56 for example? We dont carry a level rating, we have mastery level (which goes to 8 or so, so it cant mean Level 1-3 is equivalent to mastery level 1-3. I dont understand what this level equates to compared to me. Do you see what I mean ?

To add to that, when going into a Mission I get given the difficulty level, and some Levels like 27-30 might be a difficulty 2, where a Level 13-17 might be a difficulty 4, I do find it all very confusing. I never actually know if I can do the level untill I either finish it or get blasted in 30 seconds.

Where does this "Level" come from ?

  4. Hi,

I have been trawling the Warframe Wiki for a couple of hours now but I can't find the info I am looking for.

When I go into a Mission, I see the information regarding this mission in the little info Box. Mission, Fraction and Levels are shown. It's this Level information that I dont quite understand. For example, what does Level 4-6 or 53-57 mean? What Level does this equate to. How do I know how high a Level I can probably do solo?

This Level information seems to have no equation to mastery, rank (either warframe or weapons) or mod levels.

would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me, Thanks!

  5. In order to Max a Warframe beyond 30, you must use a special item called an Orokin Reactor. This automatically increases it to level 60. The same applies with weapons but you must use a Catalyst for weapons instead of a Reactor. Both can be obtained from alerts or bought for 20 platnium

The level still stays at 30, the Catalyst only takes my Mod spaces to 60 instead of 30.

But that wasnt the root of my problem, it was the problem that I cant seem to gain any mastery points as I have maxed out, however, reading up it seems I made a noobie mistake of selling my Mk1, where I should have kept it and ranked it to 30 for Mastery points, so it looks like I will be buying that back :)

  6. I made all the noobie mistakes ever (as did probably a lot of other people too!)

Chose my Warframe simply as it was the frame my brother and friend didn't have, I ended up with Mag (which incidentally is a good frame if you ask me)

I then spent the most of my platinum on revivals (I think). Whatever I spent it on, it was not worth it :)

Yes, I also sold my Skana and Mk1 Braton (won't need that!) and now find I have to buy them back to get my mastery points.

I modded in no real order and kept fusing duplicates without any form or order.

No, I can't change any of that now, but this guide has at least exaplained to me (having spent a few hours in the game and understanding the tutorial really well) what I did wrong, and now I know why I am having difficulties getting up the ranks. Thanks for this.

PS. I love the Crush ability, its fantastic when you get in a tight spot :)

  7. I need some help understanding this. I have my Warframe and weapons all at Rank 30. In the Warframe Wiki it says I gain Mastery Rank by leveling up my weapons and Frames. But now I am already at 30, I cant level up anymore, ERGO I cant gain any more Mastery points. As it is, my Mastery points dont seem to be moving any more. I know this cant be right as otherwise it would be impossible to increase the mastery, so it's obviously something I am missong the point on .... can some one clear this for me? I suspect I need to have more weapons, for example I got a shotgun and started at rank 0 and am moving up, thus giving me more mastery. Is this line of thinking right, do I need to have more frames and weapons to gain more mastery ?

    Thanks

  8. I don't have an issue with adding friends. Adding friends in Steam doesn't seem to affect the contacts in game though. My brother is on my Steam friends list and was automatically in my Warframe contacts list, I have also managed to add friends from the Warframe Contacts list too. I messed about with my router today and added the 2 Ports manually, but I still received the error message. As I say, I just ignore the message and everything else seems fine. I wonder if your issue is independent of the PNP Port forwarding problem?

  9. Hi guys,

just wanted to say, I'm getting a PNP Port Forwarding error, (with information on what Ports to open), however, everything seems to be working fine. I can play on line, connect to friends, no lag, all seems to work. Is this just a bad Errror Message due to a specific condition on my PC. It doesn't bother me, I just click it away and carry on playing. Just wondering what actually causes it.

    Thanks

    Jason
